Evaluation of an Investment Plan of the Firm’s Intention to Purchase Solar Panels for Office Building

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the investment plan for the purchase of solar panels for a company's office building. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical background necessary for the practical part of the thesis. The phases of the investment project are described, the methods of investment evaluation and the final part is devoted to risks. In the practical part the investment is evaluated using both static and dynamic indicators. Subsequently, a sensitivity analysis is performed and the probability of possible scenarios is calculated using the Monte Carlo method. In the final part of the thesis, recommendations on the realisation of the project are given.
Determination of economic efficiency of investment project

The bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the effectiveness of an investment project involving the reconstruction of an administrative building in the city of Brno. The theoretical part addresses the issues related to investment activities in the construction sector, particularly the project life cycle, determination and fulfillment of cash flows, establishment of economic efficiency indicators, basic principles of project assessment using the defined indicators, and description of project sensitivity analysis. The practical part is dedicated to a specific development investment project, primarily describing the basic characteristics of the building under consideration, creating cash flows, subsequently evaluating the economic efficiency of the project, assessing the significance of risk factors through sensitivity analysis. Additionally, the practical part includes a survey of the office market in Brno.
Using the identification of parameters of nonlinear material models for analysis of concrete structures

The presented thesis is focused on numerical modeling of concrete behavior (response) using nonlinear material models (constitutive relations) and on identification of input parameter values of these material models. Nowadays, there are a number of mathematically formulated constitutive relations intended not only to simulate the response of ductile or brittle materials, but also quasi-brittle materials. The constitutive relations for quasi-brittle materials are based on various theories (plasticity theory, the concept of damage mechanics, nonlinear fracture mechanics) and their complexity depends on the chosen type of solver. A general problem in the use of these constitutive relations is the need to define the values of their input parameters which these models usually include a very large number, and which often lack physical meaning, with their meaning being purely mathematical or experimental. This problem escalates with the increasing complexity of material models, which occurs in the transition from the formulation for the classic finite element method (FEM) to the formulation for the explicit FEM, and greatly complicates their practical application. The aim of this thesis is to present an approach how to deal with this problem for selected nonlinear constitutive relations. For this purpose, the thesis is divided into three main thematic parts. The first main part of the thesis is focused on the identification of input parameter values of the Continuous Surface Cap model. The purpose of this part is to first verify the effectivity and accuracy of the selected identification procedures. The following is the identification of model parameter values based on experimental data in order to adjust the derived calibration curves. This thesis deals with the issues of floods, flood control and damage assessment after floods. The first part focuses on floods and flood control measures, as well as evaluation of economic efficiency and methodology for determining damage and indicators for determining economic efficiency. Price indices and sensitivity analysis are also explained here. The second part discusses the investment project of the construction of the poldru Krounka – Kutřín, This is a conservation project on the novohradec river, which is financed from the subsidy program of the Ministry of Agriculture and the budget of the state-owned company Povodí Labe. The protected area, real estate and population are described. Damage to real estate is determined at the 2021 price level and the economic efficiency of the whole project is determined.
Technical diagnostics of the motorcycle suspension

Testování odpružení vozidel je velmi důležité pro zajištění bezpečné a pohodlné jízdy. Existuje mnoho testerů, přičemž jedním z nich je rezonanční adhezní tester. Jedná se o snadný a neinvazivní přístroj, který se používá k posouzení funkčnosti odpružení auta. EUSAMA je jednou z nejznámějších metodik založená na využití rezonančně adhezního testu. Avšak pro kontrolu technického stavu odpružení motocyklu neexistuje žádný takový jednoduchý nástroj. Tato práce proto zkoumala použitelnost metodiky EUSAMA pro zhodnocení odpružení motocykl. Dále zkoumala upřesnění a stanovení parametrů, které ji nejvíce ovlivňují a zároveň způsoby minimalizace negativních dopadů těchto parametrů na přesnost a spolehlivost výsledků testu. Paralelně byl vytvořen simulační model pro motocykl Aprilia ETX pro analýzu citlivosti, ve kterém byl nastaven rozsah pro nejdůležitější parametry odpružení motocyklu a byl testován jejich vliv na EUSAMA v jejich zadaném rozsahu. Výsledkem simulačního modelu a experimentů bylo pozorováno, že hmotnost jezdce, tuhost pneumatiky a úhel platformu mají velký vliv na EUSAMA, kdy hmotnost jezdce, jeho stabilita během testování, nahuštění pneumatik a úhel plošiny by mohly vést k nesprávnému hodnocení odpružení. Následně byl experimentálně verifikován upravený tester na vybraném vzorku motocyklů. Pro eliminaci negativního vlivu sledovaných parametrů bylo v této práci navrženo několik úprav včetně některých zkušebních podmínek a konstrukčních doplňků, mezi které spadá přidání stabilizačního mechanismu, kontrolu nahuštění pneumatik před testováním a upřesnění polohy jezdce při testování.
Socio-Economic Evaluation of Public Investment Project

The subject of this thesis is a socio-economic assessment of the investment project. In the theoretical part I discuss what is a project, evaluation of public projects, methods of evaluating the economic efficiency of public projects, evaluation of the efficiency of investments in waterways using the CBA method, economic performance indicators and sensitivity and risk analysis. In the practical part, I develop a case study on a specific project, where I focus on the development of financial analysis, economic analysis and sensitivity analysis on all project options.

Fajtová A, Evaluation of the economic efficiency of the investment plan in agricultural cooperative PALOMO a.s. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2017. The thesis is focused on the evaluation of the economic efficiency of the investment plan for the restoration of the milking device using selected static and dynamic methods. From dynamic methods were used net present value, internal rate of return, payback period and profitability index for which the investment is evaluated as acceptable. Through the sensitivity analysis is determined the significance of individual risk factors. As the most risk factor was evaluated the evaluation of the purchase price of the milk, the development and current situation of the price of the milk were analysed in more detail.

The aim of the thesis is to identify factors affecting the business performance in industry sector and to propose solutions for improving the business performance. The first part of the thesis deals with the current overview of state in the field of business performance measurement and financial analysis. The selected companies from the industry sector are analysed in the next part of the thesis. For this purpose, the economic value added is used as well and factors affecting the business performance are identified. At the end of the thesis a few recommendations are proposed for the companies and their performance in industry sector.
