Assessing the influence of constitutional hypermobility on postural stability
Zadražilová, Tereza ; Smékal, David (advisor) ; Čakrt, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis "Judging the influence of constitutional hypermobility on postural stability" focuses on the problem of constitutional hypermobility (CH) and the influence of joint instability on stability mechanisms. The aim of the research was to find out whether there is a difference in stability mechanisms with tested subjects with CH and without it. Furthermore, the research focuses on the influence of mobility techniques on postural stability by the means of chosen tests carried out on Balance Master® System platform. The tested sample includes 14 women aged from 20 to 28, 7 women with constitutional hypermobility and 7 women as a control group. 6 tests were chosen for the measurement on Balance Master® platform. 2 static tests: modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction on Balance (mCTSIB), Unilateral Stance (US), and 4 dynamic tests: Limits of Stability (LOS), Rhytmic weight shift (RWS), Step Up Over (SUO) a Forward Lunge (FL). We compared the medians of output values of individual tests. It was assumed that subjects with KH would have significantly worse test results than the control group. Furthermore, it was supposed that the mobilization processes cause stability disturbance on the basis of cancellation of compensational , thus protective block in comparison with KS. Effect of cognitive task in postural sway of patiens with phobic postural vertigo
Urbanová, Lucie ; Čakrt, Ondřej (advisor) ; Truc, Michal (referee)
Diploma thesis "Effect of cognitive task in postural sway of patiens with phobic postural vertigo" in its theoretical part discusses physiology of balance system, its disorders and summarizes knowledge of phobic postural vertigo. In experimental section we analyzed postural stability of 5 patients with phobic postural vertigo, 5 patients with structural lesion of vestibular system and 5 healthy subjects with posturography during normal stence and while performing cognitive tasks - "Contact test", Verbal Fluency task and modified Stroop test. The goal of this study was to find out whether postural stability of subjects differs while performing cognitive tasks in comparison with normal stance. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Body schema in patients with vestibular syndrome
Kindlmannová, Tereza ; Černý, Rudolf (referee) ; Truc, Michal (advisor)
The aim of the master thesis "Body schema in patients with vestibular syndrome" is focused of perception of body schema in patiens with phobic postrural vertigo and patiens with periferal vestibular lesion. In a first part is summarised knowledges about equilibrium control, clinical forms of vestibular syndrome and body orientation in external world. In the next part is described body schema and internal representation of body. The main part of work follows the examination of the somatognostic function with emphasis on relationship between vestibular and somatosensory aference in patiens and healthy subjects. The end shows conclusions of awareness of body schema in patiens and healthy subjects. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Assessment of respiratory muscle function and postural stability in lumbar spine using dynamic MRI
Balková, Veronika ; Truc, Michal (referee) ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor)
The aim oftbe work was to get concrete and objective view of the movement of defined parts in lumbar spine during postural task. The other goal was to measure respiratory muscle strenght a find if there was a connection between measured parameters. 35 subjects with chronic low back pain and 25 asymptomatic subjects underwent dynamic MRl examination and measurement of maximal mouth pressures. This study showed lower valu es of Pimax and displacement of vertebra Ll in group of patients. AIso showed correlation between Pimax and Ll dispalcement, sacrum displacement and the sacral slope difference during postural task in group of patients. No significant correlations in control group were found. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Evaluation of postural stability
Šalamoun, Jan ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Koťová, Markéta (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is Evaluation of postural stability. Measuring is provided by balance board Nintendo Wii Balance Board and force platform produced by Zebris. In the first part are explained basic terms and parameters which are necessary for evaluation of postural stability. Next part includes design of a suitable protocol for evaluation of postural stability by balance board and force platform. According to the protocol i received data from sufficient number of volunteers. In next part i create aplication in Matlab which can load and evaluate data obtained from probands. In the end i compare devices and evaluate obtained results.
Using mobile phone in feedback rehabilitation
Mynařík, Ondřej ; Žalud, Luděk (referee) ; Chromý, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate sensors used in Android mobile phones for measuring inclination and their comparation with precise reference sensor Xsens. Another goal is to create Android application for measuring inclination of balance desk. This application communicates with a computer by Bluetooth. Results indicates that sensors in mobile phones are sufficient enough to replace the precise sensor Xsens for measuring inclination of balance desk. Based on the results mobile application was created. Using a mobile phone with this application can replace Xsens, which results in rapid decrease of the price and the possible use in rehabilitation centers or by patients.
Access physiotherapy in disorders of postural stability in patients with multiple sclerosis
KRÁLOVÁ, Lucie
The bachelor thesis summarizes the current knowledge of multiple sclerosis. The object of my thesis was to choose the appropriate physiotherapy procedures to influence postural stability in patients with multiple sclerosis. In the theoretical part of it I have dealt with the current situation of the problem, then with ethiopathogenesis, symptoms, pharmacological and rehabilitative treatment. Then I dealt with the functions of the deep stabilization system and methods which can be used to work with. These methods were chosen with regard to the diagnosis MS. The research section includes casuistry of three patients. The kinesiology examination is supplemented by testing in posturograph which patients undertaken at the beginning of the three-month therapy and after its completion. This section contains actual status of the patients, their medical history, designs short-term rehabilitation plan, a description of rehabilitation and long-term rehabilitation plan and overall assessment of therapy and research. The whole research took place over a period of three months. Two patients attending for treatment in a rehabilitation clinic in J.Hradci, therapy third patient was at home through briefing. After three months of therapy, I evaluated the effectiveness of exercise based on the input and output tests, balance tests and examinations on posturograph. I also took into account the patients' subjective feelings. Physiotherapy had an impact primarily on the breathing stereotype and better postural stability when standing. Furthermore, the psychological state of patients also improved. Physiotherapy may interfere with some clinical symptoms of MS. It helps to improve the quality of life, improve self-sufficiency and engage individuals in active life. However, we have to expect short-term effect and that it is necessary to rehabilitate all the time. Also, we must continue to adapt to the development of the disease and the current condition of the patient.
