This thesis intents to familiarize the reader with the developer tool Google Web Toolkit. It aims to compare its advantages and disadvantages in the context of today's tools for creating Rich Internet Applications. The work is targeted primarily for developers. With this work the reader will be able to develop a comprehensive idea of using this tool, its strengths and weaknesses, learn about the process of working with GWT and its individual parts and give a comparison with technologies of competing producers. The first part introduces the reader to GWT in general, the second part offers insight into the development process of web applications using this tool and the third part demonstrates a preview of practical application. Finally, the work evaluates the Google Web Toolkit as a whole.

Diploma thesis 'On-line marketing - Principle of an auction changes the world of advertising' is about internet as a medium, on-line commercial communications, search engines and performance marketing. This thesis is divided into three parts. First part is about internet as a medium and actual situation on the Czech internet market. Second part describes a marketing communication mix on the internet, forms of online advertisement and pros and cons of online advertising. Third part deals with an advertisement within the frame of search engines. This part is also about PPC systems and SEM (Search Engine Marketing). Contribution of this thesis lies in info how to use the internet for propagation.
Strenght and influence of search engines

The main goal of this thesis is to describe search engines, evaluate their influence on the microeconomic market, society and estimate their future development. In the first chapter the thesis aims for a better understanding of search engines. Described is the history of search engines, the way they function and a brief analysis of the Czech and American search engine market. The second chapter describes the search engine's powerful position and its influence on the microeconomic market. Mentioned are methods of how a firm can affect its position on the internet market. Furthermore the influence of search engines on users is described including examples and studies. The last chapter of the thesis concentrates on the future development of search engines. The purpose of this thesis is to give the reader objective information about search engines, which will help the reader understand the search engine's position and significance at present time in the world. Hopefully it will help the reader better understand to what measure search engines affect the market, decision-making and behaviour of internet users.
Essential tools for developing web applications

This bachelor thesis is devoted to problems of creating web applications using XML files for data storing. The main mission of thesis is to demonstrate XML language usage in these applications and to introduce a reader with another important languages for development of these applications. This thesis is trying to offer a complex view of this problem. Because success of application largely relies on the fact how easily the applacation can be found by potential users of the web, the thesis describes how can be web sites indexed by search engines. There are two main parts of this bachelor thesis: teoretical and practical. The first chapter describes HTML language with accent on his features that can be used for cooperation with web applications. The second chapter is devoted to XML markup language. Third chapter is about Dublin Core metadata standard which can be used with web applications to ease searching of electronical sources. The fourth chapter describes indexing of web pages by search engines and the following fifth chapter describes advanced searching with search engine Google, that can be used for detection if search engine optimization was successfull and if web page is findable. The sixth chapter dedicated to practical part of this thesis. This part describes developed web application programmed in PHP language. This application works with XML file via DOM and SimpleXML interfaces. Interfaces are compared to each other. This chapter also offer some guides describing how to implement some usefull functions in web application.
Efficient internet marketing with Google toolbox

Quick growth of internet users worldwide as well as significant technological improvements has had an extensive impact on a traditional marketing communication. First part of the thesis focuses on the basic framework that would leverage the internet marketing implementation. In its second part, the Google advertising products (AdWords, Maps, YouTube) and tools(for planning, optimization and implementation) are analyzed and their role in the internet marketing process is explained and demonstrated.
Problems of information search on the Internet

This thesis adverts to the inadequacies and impediments which can be met by an ordinary user of the internet when searching for information. The process of searching itself represents an interaction between the request given by a user and the result displayed by a search engine. The result might be in a form of URL address of a concrete web page, picture, product, location etc. Some of the problems, which are described in detail in the thesis, are for example relevance and freshness of the search result, separation of global and local result, spam in the results or problems connected to the searching in the online maps. There is an emphasis on the local market, respectively on the Czech user, in the thesis. Furthermore, it focuses on the freshness of all data and on a practical sample in a picture form. The important data and statistics are recorded in the well-arranged tables and graphs. Among others, many interesting information and observations can be found in the thesis. These information and observations are marked with the blue arrow (->).

Práce popisuje hlavní PPC systémy ve vyhledavačích s ohledem na české prostředí, postup před založením kampaní v těchto systémech, práci při založení a dále následnou správu těchto kampaní. Zaměřuje se na základní teoretické informace a jejich následné převedení do praxe ukázkou na názorných přikladech.
Using Google services and Google API in small workgroup management

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create a draft, a simple solution to communication needs, people management and documents sharing within a small team or working group using available Google services and their potential integration into client application through the application programming interface. There are only some selected Google services in this thesis in context of possible usage of its results in a real case scenario. I used my own personal experience in describing the services, I analysed the necessary theoretical assumptions of teamwork and mainly focused on great potential use of Google Calendar as the best tool for organising people's time and assigning tasks in the process of a workgroup management. The main benefit of this work should be increased general knowledge of capabilities of the services I described and their intended usage in a daily routine.

V současném ekonomickém prostředí je velmi silný tlak na inovace jednotlivých softwarových výrobců, poskytovatelů služeb v oblasti IT či systémových integrátorů. Předmětem konkurenčního boje se nestává produkt nebo služba jako taková, ale i forma jejího zajištění a obchodní model, který definuje kvalitu a cenu pro zákazníka. V posledních letech zaznamenáváme vzestupnou tendenci výrobců / dodavatelů softwaru nabídnout dodávku software přímo formou služby tzv. Software as a Service neboli on-demand. Primárním cílem této diplomové práce je přispět k rozvoji teoretické základny modelů Software as s Service s hlavním zaměřením na oblast kancelářských aplikací pro segment malých a středně velkých firem.
