Economy of Conflict: Case Study on the DRC
Adamovič, Ján ; Kváča, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pavlicová, Vendula (referee)
This study deals with the economic dimensions of the modern civil wars. These dimensions provide us with better understanding of the inner dynamics of civil wars. Main purpose is to show that economic life doesn`t stop to exist during war, nor is it totally destroyed. Rather it`s being transformed. This theoretical definition is then applied on the Second Congo War which emerged on the debris of Mobutu Sese Seko`s shadow state. The conflict in the DRC was highly concentrated on natural resources which consequently helped financing the war itself. When the war got into the militarily stalemate situation, fights went on owing to economic incentives to continue. The war in DRC changed life on each level of society. Although GDP per capital was drastically decreasing , economic life didn`t stop and transformed. For population it was rather constant copying with the war situation. These results have also implications for postconflict reconstruction.

This Master's Thesis deals with the balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life. Its main goal is to identify which factors have or don't have an impact on the balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life. As a part of the theoretical section I defined components of balanced life, the consequences of imbalances and recommendations how to get a life into a balance. Additionally, there are described important parts of entrepreneurship. For my methodological section I established the list of standards how to choose a suitable entrepreneurs for my research as well as research methods (incl. personal interviews with every single entrepreneur) and data evaluation system. This methodological section justifies and determines the way in which the balance is measured. In my practical section I examined a sample of 40 entrepreneurs (majored in restaurant business). During the research I tried to find a statistical significance among groups of entrepreneurs. The research results leads to the conclusion that the balance between an entrepreneurship and a personal life depends on qualitative rather than on quantitative features.

The personality of this composer, comming from the Bohemia on the edge of the 18th and 19th century, became famous in the United States as a musician, composer and organiser of the musical life. Although his life and work are wellknown in the United States, it si not the case of the Czech Republic. The awareness of Heinrich's life and work is relatively low in the Czech society due to distortions of culture after World War II. The knowledge of his work is restricted in the community of the musicologists, nowadays. The composer is not forgotten, however, his life deserves a comeback to the Czech music life. This thesis is a case study providing the animation strategy of the A. P. Heinrich's music work. The application of such a case study will contribute to incorporation of a partly forgotten composer into the Czech concert life and particularly into the cultural economics.
"Don t be Afraid!" - in the Work of John Paul II.
VALASOVÁ, Eva
My work deals with John Paul´s II.message of today´s world. He appealed to the words of our Messiah Jesus Christ Don´t be afraid.`` It brings the message and the Holy Fater wrote about it up to present days. These messages are still the actual appeal for our faith. During the centuries the question of human fear, anxiety and pain is still current. It refers to a source of human fear, which it comes from, how the Holy Father comprehended. It also refers to a question of human fear from the historical, biblical and psychological aspect. My work is identified with hope which the Holy Fater wrote about. This hope means to accept enjoyable message of the Gospel and to live completely loyally with Jesus Christ. The objektive of my work is to realize, what was John Paul´s appeal: Remember that you are loved by God.`` You are loved and redeemed by Jesus Chris´t s blood to a true freedom. Sincle only the true love overcomes the fear.
