Problems of Internal Communication in Project Management

The primary influence on project results is human effort, therefore the most essential tool for effort management and focus is communication. Communication in Project Management is characterized by its complexity however it may be analysed from two perspectives; communication tools and human factor. The main objective of this work is to identify problematic areas of internal communication in Project Management and the design of corrective measures that will mitigate or eliminate these problems. This work is based on research in a dynamic environment and comprehensive project program, which is an excellent example and material for definition of such areas. The theoretical section lists the topics of project management and communication; each topic affects specific features that are part of the program or directly related (SOA, agile management, conflict parties business, ICT, etc.). The practical part acquaints readers with the concept of sociological research and defines a hypotheses and set of methods that were used in this research. Further, it contains a description of the program in which research was undertaken and the results of such analysis with recommendations on what measurements should be implemented to improve communication and its effectiveness.
Comparing the use of types of communication and communication tools in small and large business

The main purpose of this thesis is the analysis of communications and communication tools in small and large business. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focusing on communication from the perspective of "ordinary" people and businesses. It is divided into the following parts: Communication, Corporate Communications. The practical part includes the methodology for the evaluation of communication tools in both companies, the characteristics of both companies, internal and external communication and tools in small and large businesses, including assessment, functions and skills of a business manager with an emphasis on communication. Evaluation of communication tools in both companies is based on the methodology created in this thesis. The evaluation conclusions are drawn and recommendations suggested. The main contribution of this thesis is an analysis of companies, and evaluation and recommendations.
Internal communication in a bank institution

This Master's Thesis is about internal communication in a bank institution. The internal communication is viewed from both theoretical and practical point of view. Its goal is to identify the informational flows and operation of internal communication in a bank institution based on observation, analysis of internal documents and surveys, and to find out if the processes work effectively and suggest potential remedies. The Master Thesis is about the purpose, goals, principles of effective internal communication and applicable communication channels. The conclusion of this thesis is statement that the internal communication in the chosen institution is on a very high level and well-coordinated. The institution uses all available communication channels for its internal communication. The thesis also includes specific suggestions for even more effective internal communication especially in the terms of effective use of the communication channels and communication of the company's strategy and goals.

At the end of these parts they are all results shovel down, point at level communication between workers in a choice deportments and its appropriate influence of theirs efficiency. In accourdance with modern trends they are describing recommendations which can help with improving a level comunication between workers and its influence on working efficiency in a future.
Internal communication and tools to enhance its effectivness

This thesis deals with the internal communication and with the tools to enhance its effectiveness. The main goal is to characterize the internal communication and communication tools, to implement a survey of the state of internal communication in a particular company and on the basis of the results to recommend appropriate measures to increase the efficiency of internal communication. The first part focuses on the clarification of important concepts relating to the topic of the thesis, such as: communication content, division of the communication, communication barriers, communication tools. The practical part deals with the results obtained by using a questionnaire, which was compiled for the analysis of internal communication in a particular company. From the analysis of the results of the questionnaire resulted deficiencies in the internal communication. Therefore, in the conclusion of the thesis, there are suggested measures to improve the effectiveness of communication within the company.
Analysis of communication and IT communication means in particular company

Mutual communication is one of the fundamental elements of human society. Its development has been enabled by sharing of sources and knowledge. Nowadays, information is considered to be one of the "production sources", some people regard it to be the most important one. Without the necessary information no company can succeed. Not only gaining of information is important, but also its spreading inside the company. Internal communication departments are in charge of these issues. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze internal communication of the company Johnson Controls International ltd., specifically in its Czech subsidiary (in the department of building maintenance), to identify the weak points of the internal communication and to suggest possible solutions. The thesis also aims to compare the practical functioning of the company's internal communication to the theory. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the company's internal communication and the IT communication means used. The practical part introduces the company and subsequently shows how its internal communication works including the description of the IT communication means used. The thesis also evaluates the current state of communication within the company, provides a comparison to theoretical bases and problem identification. Solutions of these problems are offered in the final part of this thesis.
Analysis and evaluation of internal communication in a particular firms

The aim of this thesis is to highlight the important aspects in internal company relationships focusing on corporate culture and internal communication. The theoretical terms such as information, communication, motivation, work motivation, organizational culture, domestic corporate communications and their interrelationships are described in the introductory part. The background and knowledge of the theoretical parts are used in the analysis of two specific companies (the first is a Czech middle-sized company with a long tradition and the other is the Czech branch of multinational pharmaceutical corporation) in the practical part. Data were collected by questionnaire, supplemented by personal interviews with staff and management of both companies. Data were evaluated according to several criteria, mostly according to corporate nationality and job title (ordinary employee, manager, top manager). The analysis found many failures in internal communication in both companies, especially in communicating with ordinary employees. Comparing the two companies showed that the level of internal communication in the Czech company is at significantly lower level than in a company with a strong foreign background. Based on the results of analysis and knowledge of internal communication issues were the two companies at the end of the analysis provided with the concrete measures to improve their corporate culture through internal communication. Overall, the results of the practical part indicated that the corporate culture and internal communication are still underestimated in the environment of Czech firms and at a lower level in comparison with foreign companies.
Public Relations and Communication in the Health Sector

The thesis describes the role of public relations and communication in the health sector and points at its specifications and differences if compared to the profitable sectors. The thesis analyses the current level of the issue in the Czech Republic, including legal and ethical perspectives of a health institution. The first part of the thesis explains the theory of the public relations and communicaiton sectors and includes a concise description of the health sector. The second part deals with internal, external and crisis communication of individual hospitals and institutions and analyses them through the method of qualitative research. Aside from other aspects, I describe pratical operation of public relations, usage of media communication tools in practice at individual health institutions. In addition to this, target audience, the public and the importance of a good reputation of a hospital have been defined in this part.
Organizational struvture of arts organizations

The thesis compares internal communication and organizational structure of arts organizations with general theoretical knowledge from economy theory. In the first part, the thesis presents an enquiry in the field of internal communication and structure of organizations and puts it into the context on a theoretical level. It concerns outlined historical development and types of organizational structures and communication flows. The second part addresses the application of theoretical knowledge in the area of culture. Furthermore, it analyses two particular arts organizations, inquiring especially into the nature of internal communication flows and development of organizational structure. Subsequently, it confronts the results with theoretical basis presented in the first chapter. Apart from other conclusions, it reveals several flaws and suggests possible solutions for necessary corrections.
