Forms of international labour migration on example the Portuguese living in Great Britain

The goal of this thesis is to describe the process of international labour migration on young Portuguese living in Northwich, Great Britain. The first part of my thesis concerns a theoretical summary and description of already known migration theories. In the first part are also defined terms of migration, transnationalism and diaspora. The goal of the practical part is to determine the possible reasons that led Portuguese people emigrate to Great Britain. The thesis also describes the life of Portuguese nationals abroad and their way of preserving identity. The thesis uses qualitative research methods in the form of ethnographical research taken in Northwich in 2015. Field notes are supplemented by semi-structured interviews with ten long-term living Portuguese in Great Britain.
Progress and Jewish News in the 1930s

The core of this thesis is to analyze two popular Jewish periodicals on 30th last century. One of this periodical is called Židovské zprávy (Jewish News) which is Zionist oriented. Second one is a magazine called Rozvoj (Progress) which is representing Czech-Jewish assimilation movement and which is opposed to Zionist ideology. The work is going to follow not only the way of reflection and interpretation of historical political events, but also it is going to focus on the relationship between supporters of the two directions and their attitude to the Czechoslovak Republic and its political representatives.Attention will also be paid to cultural and literary profiling of both periodicals. Subject of the analysis will be also cultural and literary annually based supplements called Židovský kalendář (Jewish Calendar) and Kalendář česko-židovský (Czech Jewish Almanac). The aim of this thesis is to capture ahistorical speechof periodicals which are defined by their ideologies so we can reveal their strategy and perception of the world.
A Culture in Crisis or Cultural Transformation?

This thesis will attempt to answer the question: A Culture in Crisis or Cultural Transformation? - The Case of Lviv?s Cultural Actors. The intention of this work is to critically assess the state of culture in Ukraine and to determine who are the real actors impacting cultural development in the country. The present study provides a brief overview of cultural legislation from independence to present-day as well as identifies the private and civil actors engaged in cultural activities in the country. Finally, in the framework of a case study, the thesis examines cultural development at the local level by taking the city of Lviv as an example.

The paper offers a general view into the problem of mestizaje. Ink and European perspectives are studies in the work of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega who was one of the first man of mixed race born in the New World.
Czech National Theatre as a symbol of Czech emancipation and national identity

The thesis is focused on the influence of National Theatre on Czech national emancipation and creation of national identity. In the first chapter I analyze general meaning of national theaters in other countries and process of their development. Later I focus on circumstances of the development of Czech National Theatre. The next chapter concentrates on problems of the construction of the theatre and the meaning of decoration. The third chapter shows significant occasions of 20th century, when National Theatre played important role.
Visitors of Karlštejn castle and national identity

The objective of Visitors of Karlštejn study is to identify socio-demographic profile of visitors of this particular Czech castle during the side-season, to describe considered alternatives to leisure time spending competing to Karlštejn castle and to find out satisfaction of visitors with individual areas of their visit of castle and surrounding. Also spontaneous association concerning Karlštejn is in our focus in terms of national identity. Data used for this study was collected by quantitative research methodology conducted during October 2011 to January 2012 among visitors after their tour route. Results of this study should help the castle management set content of communication campaign and improve provided services.
Education for Deeper Perception of National Identity through Art Education (younger school age)

The central theme of this thesis is national identity in art education. First of all deals with a definition of terms education, perception, school age, and of course the definitions of national identity and its related terms of identity, habits, traditions, culture and society. The thesis describe the knowledge about our nation through art education and provides ilustrative examples for working with children during the school day. This bachelor thesis server ether to highlight the issue and oves the possibility of further exploring the theme of national identity in art education.
The National Theatre as a Sign of National Identity

The aim of this work is to confirm and verify the national identity of a target group in relation to the consumption of cultural goods referring to the particular example of the National theatre. With the help of a qualitative research conducted through semi-structured personal interviews supplemented by elements of graphic projective techniques, this selected target group (young people from 16 to 35 years old) hereby represents a new meaning of patriotism and attitude towards the National theatre. The results are put into context together with the goal of my investigation and the theoretical bases.
