Ondráčková, Eva ; Nikodemová, Hana (advisor) ; Tomová, Šárka (referee)
My bachelor thesis called "Patients' knowledge of therapeutic mode after surgery of hip joint - total endoprosthesis" deals with a problem of education of patients in case of mode after surgery on Orthopaedic department in St. Zdislava hospital in Mostiště. A theoretic part is focused on summary of findings about hip joint, causes of surgery, types of endoprosthesis, preoperative and postoperative cares, rehabilitation and potential complications after surgery of hip joint. In a practical part, there is introduced a method of research on Orthopaedic department, whose aim is to get into degree of patients' knowing, form of education and simple keeping of preventive measures. In a conclusion of my thesis the results of research and assessment of research acquisiton into practice are summarized.
Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of osteosynthesis of the periprosthetic fracture of the left femur in the terrain of the osteopetrosis after total hip arthroplasty of the left coxa

9 Abstract Title: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of periprostetic fracture osteosynthesis of a left femur in the osteopetrotic ground after left coxa total hip arthroplasty Objectives: The objective of this thesis was to study the literature concerning the topic, elaborate a case study of a concrete patient and verify my capacities while working with a patient. Methods: The general part has the form of a literature search and it presents the knowledge concerning the patient's diagnose. The special part consists of the case study of the patient elaborated during a continuous professional training supervised by an experienced physiotherapist. While working with the patient, several methods were used: the examination by aspection, the examination of soft tissue and of joint play, the measure of the lower extremities, the goniometry, the measure of the muscle power, of the shortened muscles, the neurological examination, the motor stereotype examination and the test of activities of daily living. Furthermore, therapeutic methods were used to deal with the examined pathology. Results: The thesis offers a theoretical insight to the problematic of osteopetrosis and osteosynthesis of fractures, which is accompanied by a case study of a concrete patient. Kazuistika fyzioterapeutické péče o pacienta s totální endoprotézou kyčelního kloubu
Aftzoglou, Petros ; Jalovcová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Ptáčková, Markéta (referee)
Title: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with diagnosis of total hip replacement. Název: Fyzioterapie pacienta s diagnózou totální endoprotéza kyčelního kloubu Author: Aftzoglou Petros Summary Aim: This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical part the disease of osteoarthritis will be described as well as the examination and therapeutic approaches from physician and physiotherapist point of view. It will be also a detailed analysis of the procedure of total hip replacement. In the practical part it will be explained in details all the examination and therapeutic procedures I provided for the patient in Military Hospital of Prague (Ústřední vojenská nemocnice Praha) where my clinical work placement took place. The patient is a woman, 65 years old who had an operation of total right hip replacement on September 2010 because of osteoarthritis. The therapy took place in two weeks period and included six sessions. Key words: osteoarthritis, hip joint, physiotherapy, total hip replacement.

Title: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with total hip arthroplasty Summary: This bachelor's thesis deals with the therapeutic rehabilitation process in a patient with implantation of a total hip arthroplasty, which was made due to coxarthrosis. The general part deals with the anatomy and function of hip joint, coxarthrosis, provides general information about total hip arthroplasty and describes the possibilities of rehabilitation. In special part, in the form of casuistic of particular patient, is described therapeutic rehabilitation process. Finally, the effect of the therapy is evaluated. Key words: arthrosis, total arthroplasty, hip joint, rehabilitation
Non-ideal development of the hip joint as a forming factor of idiopathic scoliosis
Fišerová, Eva ; Ujcová, Lucie (referee) ; Šafářová, Marcela (advisor)
The thesis deals with connections between non-ideal development of the hip joint and origin of idiopathic scoliosis. The thesis warn that asymmetry in neuromotor ontogenesis is a risk factor for development of scoliosis. There is also summary of abnormalities in hip joints which are connected with idiopatic scoliosis. In experimental part of the work it has been confirmed that patient with idiopathic scoliosis have leftright asymmetry of the range of movement in hip joints. This asymmetries are discussed in the context of both the etiopathogenezis and the effect of spinal deformity. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Wear analysis of extracted polyethylenes of total hip replacements using optical methods
Přikryl, Adam ; Morovič, Ladislav (referee) ; Vrbka, Martin (advisor)
An experimental methodology for wear assessment of extracted polyethylene hip implants was designed in this diploma thesis. Methodology uses optical 3D scanner and optical profilometer for analysis of wear. Designed methodology for wear analysis was validated by gravimetric method. The results of validation were in good agreement with the increase of wear rate. Validation results show that the methodology is not suited for wear assessment of metal and ceramic implants which have small wear rates. On the other hand the methodology is more than useful for wear assessment of polyethylene implants. Designed methodology for wear assessment was applied on the set of thirteen extracted polyethylene hip implants. Results of the wear analysis were wear volumes and linear wear noted in the wear maps. Roughness of the surface was measured on explanted cups and results were noted in the roughness map. On articulating surface of the cups different areas were observed for measured roughness. Those areas were described as area with machining marks from manufacturing process, polished area from combination of abrasive and adhesive wear, polished area from micro-contact fatigue and area including plastic deformation.
Research study of tumorous total endoprosthesis of knee and hip joint
Věžníková, Tereza ; Florian, Zdeněk (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
The presented bachelor’s thesis deals with tumorous total endoprosthesis of knee and hip joint. Tumorous replacement is used in patients with bone losts due to bone tumors and for these patients it means the salvage of their limb and the possibility to live full lives. This work includes the description of the developement, types and currently used replacement after bone tumors. The significiant part of patients with bone tumors are children for whom there are growing endoprosthesis containing the expandable mechanism and thanks to this the length of the limb can be regulated. In the last part of this work the stress-strain analysis of tumorous total hip endoprosthesis is performed using computational modeling.
