High-rise building in Brno

The subject of the diploma thesis is an architectural study, proposing a high-rise building in the city of Brno, located at the intersection of Veveří and Šumavská street. The building is designed as a Creative center, bringing together all the creative professions. To present the art to the general public is proposed a Gallery as an important part of the project. The building height is 143,2 meter with a cubic shape and minimalist facade. A part of the proposal is a an exterior exhibition space.

New synagogue in Opava

The subject of the diploma thesis was the elaboration of an architectural study of a new synagogue in Opava, which, with other necessary objects, will create a complex used by the jewish community and its members. The result of the design is a new community center. This has the task of restoring existence and supporting the development of the jewish community, which has not found its way back to Opava since world war II. Three separate objects cover the needs of this community for everyday and spiritual life. This includes education taking place in the library, the seat of the jewish community and its leaders, ritual cleansing areas of the mikveh and the commercial space of the kosher food or products store. It is necessary to have a kosher restaurant providing proper eating. An important part is also the space of cultural activities in the form of artistic or other exhibitions and events. The main area of the complex is a synagogue where prayers, festivities and meetings are held.

CARBON Visitor Center

The mountain village of Trojanovice is currently facing a major challenge, which is the revitalization of the area of the disused coal mine Frenštát. The reconstruction of the mine will close the chapter of mining activity in Trojanovice, which brings with it not only a promising future without the threat that adversely affected the future development of the entire region, but also a challenge for the creation of something new and inspiring for future generations. The aim of the revitalization is to transform the complex, which has long been inaccessible to the public, into an open and welcoming place offering plenty of opportunities for work, living and spending free time. The subject of the solution of the bachelor's thesis is the construction of a visitor center, which is to become part of the newly created local part in the area of the former mine. The visitor center will functionally complement the tourist destinations in the Beskydy. It will offer exhibits with reference to the past, where the history of the site and coal mining will be presented, and the future, which will highlight the benefits of using alternative energy sources.

Production buildings, Production of aquariums in Brno

To commence, the main theme of this paper was to design a newly built manufacture of the Aquarium Pavlica Company. This business is specialized in the production of aquariums, which are designed for the interiors of homes and general public buildings. The main foundation for the project is an architectural study paper which was done in modules AG035 - Architectonics Studio and AG036 - The Complex Project. The design of the object is situated in a slightly slopping land in Brno, Horní Heršpice, Sokolova Street. Currently, the land is registered as a brownfield by Brno City Municipality. There is one small building on the land, which is planned to be demolished. The entrance to the site is located to the North Side - from the main road. In addition to this, the entrance is barrier free and easy to access. The front side of the designed object is parallel with the road on Sokolova Street. The main requirement was to create a convenient setting for the manufacture along with the social administrative facilities. As well as that, the requirement was to create space for a permanent exposition. The designed manufacturing object is divided into numerous separate parts. The building consists of an entryway, permanent exhibition, convenient facilities for visitors as well as facilities for the employees, which are all located on the first floor. The administrative section of the building is located on the second floor, along with the offices and a terrace. The two floors are connected by a stairway and an elevator that is barrier free. The manufacturing part of the building consists of two separate units. Firstly, it is the hall for the manufacture of the aquariums, which is equipped with a crane rail. Secondly, it is the carpentry. The flat green roofs will cover the whole building. Specific aspects of 20th century artwork of educational programme in gallery

The thesis focuses on difference between theoretical and didactical aspects of work with artwork of so-called great styles (from the Romance art until art of 19. century), modern and postmodern artefact. It surveys the current thought of the early 21st century about art and visual culture. On the basis of this thought educational programs for gallery space come up. Within the framework of the thesis, two confrontational gallery educational programs have been proposed. At the end of the thesis, based on the comparison of these programs the specific aspects of 20th century artwork of educational programme in gallery have been formulated.

New synagogue in Trutnov

Topic of this master thesis is a design of a synagogue together with Jewish community facilities in Trutnov. The thesis is made in the phase of architectural study. Assigned site is located near the historical center of Trutnov. There is a reminder of the old synagogue that was burned out during WW2. There is also newly reconstructed park around it. Main purpose of the proposal is to respect the park with old synagogue and connect both places so anyone can share the experience of reminder of the past together with new function. The designed volume opens towards the street and communicates with the new park with its vast openings. Function of the new building is inspired by the idea of Judaism. It is connected not only with the synagogue but also with communal life, education, celebrations, or art. That is why the proposal is connecting all the functions under one roof and the synagogue is “guarding” all of them from above. The building has three floors. On the lowest floor, there is underground garage. On the ground floor we can find space for Jewish community administration, room for exhibitions, mikveh and kitchen part for the kosher restaurant. The upper floor is mostly terrace. There is only kosher restaurant and synagogue.

Architecture and Art

The aim of this bachelor project is to design a new building for the Municipal Art Gallery in Litomyšl, Czech Republic. Currently, the institution seats in one of the narrow, old townhouses at the historic Smetanovo square. The building provides with unsuitable exhibition conditions and lack of exhibition space. The first part of the thesis dedicates to the urban analysis in order to methodically examine the Litomyšl town and its urban qualities. The purpose was to seek for a suitable site for a new gallery building in the historic center. In the main part, the project defines a suitable site in the historic center and brings up a proposal for the Municipal Art Gallery The project put an emphasis on the suitable volume and scale seeking process. The proposed scheme brings a new sufficient exhibition space and quality conditions for all kinds of art.
