IR thermometer
Kobza, David ; Čech, Petr (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the issue of temperature measuring with the use of contactless thermometer. The thesis examines the physical findings, methods and detectors for contactless temperature measurement. Is then selected a suitable detector, measuring methods and assembled a block diagram of the IR thermometer. The main section is a specific system design. This includes circuit solution, including printed circuit board design and simulation of the functional parts.
Temperature Measurement in Technical Diagnostics
Szmek, Tomáš ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to familiarize a reader with possibilities of temperature measurement along with constructions and functions of particular measuring instruments and to present their positive and negative aspects. Both basic contact thermometers used in common life and complex systems (thermovision) employed in the most demanding industrial application are described here. The thesis depicts temperature as a diagnostic value according to which the causes of machinery failures are easily detected and subsequent accidents prevented.
Temperature measurement
Brzobohatý, Lukáš ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
ABSTRACT Brzobohatý Lukáš: Temperature measurement The work presents a comprehensive overview of measurements of one of the basic state function determining the state of matter - the temperature. It deals with development of temperature scales, units and measuring devices. Temperature measurement is divided into two basic ways - contact and non-contact method. Contact measuring devices emphasis on thermocouples because of their indispensability in all industries. Non-contact temperature measurement is most developing method. This corresponds to the devices development, which is determined by the rapid computer technology development.
USB thermometer
Holub, Jiří ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a problem of electrical measurement of temperature. It describes a various types of temperature sensors and processing data obtained from these. It describes in short the USB interface and its parameters. It also contains a design of hardware and software solution of thermometer using temperature sensor SMT 160, managed by microcontroller ATmega16 and communicating with PC via USB interface. Designed thermometer also offers possibility to save measured data to built-in memory and later load them from there. Measured data will be also displayed on LCD. Last part of these thesis is design of application for PC, which will serve for displaying measured data and adjustment of thermometer.
Thermodiagnostics – contact and contact-free temperature measurements
Mikula, Martin ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Hammer, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with thermodiagnostics in industrial practise, which is very important for the assessment of technical condition of object on the basis of temperature, in today's time. It includes summary of contact and contact-free methods and their principle, advantages and disadvantages for aplication in industrial practise. Because of thesis it was carried out measurement in company Daikin Device Czech republic with the use of contact thermometer and two available thermocameras for solving of topical tasks relating to production.
Calibration of temperature sensors
Záboj, Jakub ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
How the change of temperature works on physical properties of substance and materials is described in this bachelor’s thesis. Historical development of thermometers and measuring of temperature that goes to the standard temperature scale. There is summary of today's ther-mometers and their detailed descriptions. Select calibrators follow as an instrument for check and calibration temperature sensors (thermome-ters). For example there is described calibration of thermocouple, where we put at their self - characteristics of thermocouple. The most frequen-cies mistakes during calibration are summered there and also description between different calibrations methods finally.
Accuracy of measurement in the context of history
Jemelíková, Kristýna ; Dosoudilová, Monika (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with developments in measurement accuracy. First part is dedicated to developments in accuracy throughout history: from the ancient times, through historical error estimation methods and today's error and uncertainty evaluation methods. Second part focuses on developments in measurement and its accuracy of a chosen physical quantity – temperature.
Erors and Uncertainties in Temperature Measurement
Jirmásek, Jakub ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on sources of temperature measurement uncertainties and their expressing. There is a basic description of the temperature as a physical quantity and its scale. The study describes some kinds of thermometers, focusing primarily on electric thermometers which have a dominant position in the field of automation and regulation. Further the importance of measurement uncertainty is described and its expressing. More space is devoted to the importance of different sources of uncertainty and possible compensation. Finally there is an example of determining the measurement uncertainty.
Termometer with graphical display
Křeček, Libor ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide an insight into the measurement of the temperature in the range. In addition to design a digital measuring device that would measure and display the temperature on a graphic LCD display, also to create the manufacturing documentation and provide proposed system implementation, including the production of PCB. Due to the use of microprocessor technology the controller software debugging is required. The measured temperature range is -40 to +120 °C with an accuracy of better than 0.5 °C.
Test Methods for Evaluation of Radiation Effects in High Precision Analog and Mixed-Signal Devices for Space Applications
Hofman, Jiří ; PhD, Slawosz Uznanski, (referee) ; PhD, Simon Platt, (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The traditional radiation testing of space electronics has been used for more than fifty years to support the radiation hardness assurance. Its typical goal is to ensure reliable operation of the spacecraft in the harsh environment of space. This PhD research looks into the radiation testing from a different perspective; the goal is to develop radiation testing methods that are focused not only on the reliability of the components but also on a continuous radiation-induced degradation of their performance. Such data are crucial for the understanding of the impact of radiation on the measurement uncertainty of data acquisition systems onboard research space missions.
