Sun and its presentation within lessons at primary school

My bachelor's thesis deals exclusively with the topic of the Sun and its presentation in primary school. The first half of the thesis is devoted to the stars, general information about the Sun (its meaning, distance, origin and evolution), the composition and structure of the Sun, its movements, solar activity, eclipses and research. This is followed by a section on the presentation of the Sun in the framework of the Primary and Secondary School Curricula of selected schools. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of textbooks, the opinions and form of teaching of the interviewed teachers, and above all to a questionnaire survey which deals with pupils' knowledge of this topic in selected schools.
Analysis of multiplication methods and their application to teaching aids

The aim of the dissertation is to analyse various methods of multiplication. Present and historical methods of multiplication will be included in analysis. Each method will be described and then they will be compared together. Based on some selected methods didactic aids will be created to support the teaching of mathematics. Teachers' work with e-resources: a comparison of face-to-face and distance teaching

This diploma thesis explores two teachers' approaches to electronic learning resources. The topic is in the current context relevant more than ever, especially when the eventuality of face- to-face education again shifting back to distance learning remains possible. Therefore, it is necessary to know how teachers work with and use electronic materials in preparation for classes and directly when teaching. The main aim of this work is to find out how have the two selected teachers used e-resources in face-to-face and distance learning and to compare their approaches in order to identify differences and similarities in their attitudes. This thesis is qualitative research in which the researcher chooses two methods - interview and observation. Apart from that, it contains theoretical and empirical part. In the former, the author defines the terms teacher, teaching resources, ICT, and e-learning resources. All these listed terms relate to the empirical part where the particular approaches of both teachers are explored with the help of seven identified categories. In the discussion, the use of electronic teaching resources in face-to-face and distance learning as well as approaches of both teachers are compared. Use of media in English lessons in Czechia

The aim of this diploma thesis, entitled "Use of Media in English Lessons in the Czech Republic" is to evaluate the use of old, classic and new media in teaching English in Czech primary and secondary schools, as well as in private lessons conducted by English language tutors. In the first part, the work introduces old and new media in the Czech education system and individual types of new media, presents historical media used for teaching English in our countries, provides an overview of the media used at the present time and, above all, introduces websites and applications developed for teaching English. The results of recent studies dedicated to the investigated issue are also presented. The research objective of the practical part is the analysis of the answers of 50 educators obtained using a questionnaire survey, answers to questions regarding the use of old and new media in the teaching of the English language, namely in the time before the coronavirus pandemic, in the time of distance learning during the pandemic and now, as well as qualitative research of the most used new media tools in English lessons. In the diploma thesis entitled Interdisciplinarity of FLE and history, we present the phenomenon of an interdisciplinarity approach in education. We dedicate to the interdisciplinarity in Czech and French education, especially to the interdisciplinarity od FLE and history. In the diploma thesis, we present the definition of the term « interdisciplinarity » and we characterize and analyze Czech and French educational programs - RVP, ŠVP, Le Socle commun de connaissances et de compétences and programs for the Frech college (Cycle 3 et 4). We dedicate also to the interdisciplinarity of FLE and history in FLE textbooks and in resources available online. We apply the knowledge to the unit, in which we apply the interdisciplinarity nature of FLE and history using the exemple od the Frech revolution of 1789. The objective of our thesis is to present the interdisciplinarity relations of FLE and history, or rather to present and analyze the inclusion od historical topics in FLE teaching, especially in Czech education. We have come to the conclusion that the inclusion of the interdisciplinarity in education is an integral part of Czech and French educational programs, which we can rely on in teaching. World War I in the History Textbooks before and after November 1989

World war I and its interpretation on the pages of history textbooks of the Czechoslovak and Czech communist regime before and the regime after 1989 provides a unique insight into the changing ways in which school system views history. A comparative analysis of these easily accessible materials enables us to notice and describe these differences. The research also involves a description of development of textbooks as a type of media, its physical and didactic attributes.
THE BEGINNINGS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AT CZECH SCHOOLS: PERIOD TEXTBOOKS AND TEACHING METHODS BEFORE 1945

This diploma thesis deals with English textbooks used at Czech higher secondary schools in the era till 1948. The diploma thesis is composed of two parts - the theoretical and the analytical part. The theoretical part consists in a description of the educational environment, including development of the Czech education systeém (in the monarchy) and czechoslovak educational systém, with regard to the development of grammar schools (gymnázium) and bussiness schools (obchodní akademie), which is a specific type of secondary school where the Eenglish language was taught. The practical part concerns the analysis of chosen English textbooks intended for individual high school years. The selection was made with regard to the education reforms, which changed the school system.

The aim of the thesis is to map how family theme are understood within the framework of civics and to prepare activities for the teaching process focused on family. The introductory section is about a family on a theoretical level, describes the functions and types of family, marriage, outlines the development of a family in Western Europe and indicates characteristics of a current family such as growing divorce rate and alternative forms of cohabitation. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on the analysis of family theme in the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education and in selected textbooks of civics for elementary schools. The final section of the thesis presents a set of own activities related to a family theme.
Cross-curricular relationships physics - biology in physics teaching in basic schools

My bachelor's thesis deals with the interdisciplinary relationship between physics and biology and It's teaching at the second stage of primary school. In the introduction I focus on the trend of intergrated teaching and interdisciplinary relationships in general. In my bachelor's thesis we can find individual physical phenomena from biology textbooks. In the chapter called "Analysis of selected physical phenomena in biology textbooks" I will focus on sound and light. At the end of the bachelor's thesis I also mentioned some suggestions for practical teaching in schools.
