Růžek, Ondřej ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
Title: Running in the context of developmental kinesiology Objective: The objective of this diploma thesis was to describe the running gait in the context of human developmental ontogenesis. From information sources working with the topic of developmental kinesiology, a comprehensive text was prepared on the influence of establishing posture on the subsequent development of locomotion patterns of walking and running. Methods: The compilation method was used in this work. Relevant peer-reviewed articles were drawn upon to identify current information on running kinesiology for subsequent interdisciplinary comparison of approaches to the definition and description of the running stride cycle. Results: In the thesis, it was repeatedly emphasized that reaching the float phase in a running gait is a genetically conditioned in a person's life. The thesis that the central control of postural-locomotor function is already engaged in the first year of life thanks to genetically encoded programs. In parallel with how the musculoskeletal system strengthens during the first year of life with the aim of overcoming gravity and achieving bipedality, the strength of functional control at the level of the CNS. Key words: step cycle of running, running, locomotion, posture, kinesiology of running

Possibilities of physiotherapy for professional flute players
ŠEVČÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
Music is an integral part of human life. Its therapeutic effects have been described, but it also affects professional musicians in terms of physiology. When playing a musical instrument, a player's body position is strongly influenced especially for musical instruments that require an asymmetrical posture. The flute belongs to this group of musical instruments. Playing this musical instrument may therefore involve certain health risks. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to describe the movement stereotypes that may arise when playing the transverse flute, and then to propose compensatory exercises to mitigate the risks of musculoskeletal disorders in flutists. The theoretical part of the thesis includes a description of kinesiology concepts relevant to the subsequent practical part, such as movement stereotypes, deep stabilization system, posture and shoulder joint kinesiology. Furthermore, asymmetric loading and ergonomics of playing the flute are described. Health problems that can often occur in professional flute players are also discussed. The practical part describes qualitative research that was conducted with a group of flute players. A kinesiological examination was performed on the respondents. The lateral scapular slide test was used as an additional test to assess the relative position of the scapulae. The practical part also included the education of exercises from a pre-prepared exercise unit aimed at preventing the development of, as well as compensating for, movement stereotypes in flute players. From the results, we can say that the inclusion of compensatory exercises to the flute playing was beneficial for the respondents. The content of the paper could be used in clinical physiotherapy, and could also be useful for professional flutists themselves, or in the teaching of the flute in Primary Art Schools.
Využití postarání terapie na zlepšení držení těla a stability v golfovém švihu u mladých golfistů
LUŇÁČKOVÁ, Johana
This thesis deals with posture and stability in young golfers and how these aspects can be influenced. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create a kinesiotherapy unit that incorporates elements from postural therapy to influence posture and stability in young golfers as well as the elements influencing postural function, which was another aim of the thesis. Another aim was to evaluate the effects of the therapy and compare the results based on the entry and exit kinesiological examination. In the theoretical part, the postural system, postural function, movement control and the information about golf are described as well as the physiotherapy methods that were used in this thesis. The practical part describes the research methods and case studies of four probands from the Golf Club Týn nad Vltavou. The work includes comparative photographs taken before and after the therapy and examples of exercises used in the kinesiotherapy unit. Initial results of the study show the poor posture, lack of stability and weakened postural functions are present in these young golfers. When comparing the entry and exit examination data, all probands showed improvement in all studied aspects after completing the 8-week exercise program therefore these results could be influenced by the suggested therapy. In the future, this work could be used by coaches as an inspiration for creating the training plan.
Evaluation of the stabilizing ability of pole dancers
Langová, Karolína ; Stupková, Michaela (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Author of the thesis: Bc. Karolína Langová Title of the thesis: Evaluation of the stabilizing ability of pole dancers Objectives: The main aim of the study is to assess the static and dynamic postural stability in women regualrly practising pole dance, and to compare their stabilizing ability to women from healthy general population, who do not practise sport regularly. The next aim is to focus on the evaluation of the effect of pole dance exercise on the activity of vestibular system in static and dynamic postural stability, and compare the results to the same control group of women. Methods: The study is designed as observational, comparative and cross-sectional. 34 women within the range of 18-30 years of age took part in the study and were divided into 2 groups. Experimental group (n2=17) consisted of pole dancers, whereas women without regular physical activity (n2=17) represented control group. The measurement of static and dynamic postural stability was performed using dynamic computer posturograph NeuroCom SMART Equi Test (MCT), Rhytmic Weight Shift (RWS) and Head Shake - Sensory Organization Test (HS-SOT). Collected results of both groups were analyzed using Microsof Excel 2016 and compared. Results: In SOT protocol, no statistically significant differences were found between the groups,...
Conscious muscle activation in distal direction based on Vojta's principle and its effect on the power of the upper extremity
Pihera, Jan ; Katolický, Jakub (advisor) ; Šafářová, Marcela (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on examining the effects of an exercise protocol on upper limb performance. Exercise protocol was based on the principle of voluntary muscle activation in the distal direction. The theoretical part sets out the theoretical basis necessary to place the approach in the phylogenetic, anatomical and kinesiological context. The study develops a view of the motor mechanism contained in our neuromotor system and is nevertheless very little taken into account in modern physiotherapy. The main aim of the study was to determine the relevance of the effect, in terms of upper limb performance, in the short-term application of an exercise protocol based on the mechanism of voluntary muscle activation in the distal direction. Methods: A total of 20 patients who met the study requirements were enrolled in the study, with only 17 of them (mean age 24.6; SD ± 1.6) completing the entire program and therefore the results of only these probands were evaluated. They were randomly divided into two groups in a 1: 1 ratio. Group A performed assignments in the form of a five-minute exercise protocol based on the mechanism of distal muscle activation on a daily basis, and an identical exercise plan with the opposite direction of commands was presented to group B. As part of the measured factors...

This thesis looks at the influence of emotional state on chest development and configuration, lung functions and presents possible physiotherapeutic interventions in patients with depressive syndrome. In theoretical part, the thesis focuses on the issue of depressive syndrome, outlining the topic of psychosomatics and the relationships between psychological state and physical symptoms. The theoretical part also includes a presentation of the possibilities of physiotherapeutic methods, which can be used to improve respiratory and postural function. The main aim of this work was to determine the psychological state of patients both before and after individual therapies and to see if there would be improvement in the condition as well as improvement in the parameters of respiratory and postural activity due to performed physiotherapeutic methods. Within the secondary objective, potential correlations between these parameters and psychological state were described and the effect of physiotherapy on improvement of all parameters was shown. Methods: The practical part of this work involved 10 probands with depressive disorder. For probands, the parameters were measured in a total of 5 sessions. The parameters of the respiratory amplitude were recorded by the tailor's meter, the postural deviation from...
Využití fyzioterapie u členů stomatologického týmu
PŘIBYLOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis is focused on the physical aspects of a stomatology team and their options for physiotherapy usage to eliminate them. My work aims to map the most frequent difficulties of the moving apparate of the stomatology team participants, choose and apply the most suitable physiotherapy methods always based on kinesiological parsing, and consequently assess the efficiency of the regular exercises by chosen snacks. The last aim of my work is to create educative physiotherapeutic material for stomatology labors with simple knacks to the surgery and subsequently home. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical one, I defined the term 'posture' and described the correct sitting and standing position. I have defined ergotherapy and its rules of usage by the members of the stomatology team. I pushed ahead of the greatest part of my theoretical part to the most frequent mistakes of human body attitude and its consequent impact on moving apparate. The last and the most comprehensive part of my bachelor thesis is pushed ahead of physiotherapy methods which may be used in treatment incurred issues by the stomatology team members. The quantitative formate of my research in which I have utilized the casuistry of two dentists, one stomatology assistant, and one dental hygienist is involved in the second part of my theoretical thesis. All probands are female from 27 to 32. I have made an initial examination to all probands based on which was made therapy that lasted for three months. After this time, I performed a final kinesiological analysis and compared the values. From the results of my research is obvious that the emendation and subsequent occupation of the correct ergonomic position with proper exercise and regular therapy may lead to a reduction or completely prevent muscles overload and sequent emergence of pain or other health difficulties. This bachelor thesis may subserve as a sample usage of physiotherapy by the members of the stomatology team. The information included in my work may be served as an educative material for the stomatology team members.
The effect of compensatory exercise and stretching on posture and recovery of ice-hockey players
SPILKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with the effect of compensatory exercise and stretching on postural stability and recovery of ice hockey players. It was designed as a mixed form of research. There were two objectives of the research - the first objective was to describe the effect of compensatory exercise on the posture of ice hockey players. The second aim was to describe the effect of stretching on the recovery of ice hockey players. Ice hockey players often have muscle imbalances and poor posture. Since ice hockey is a unilateral sport, this lateral preference negatively affects the posture of the player. During the game, high demands are made both mentally and physically, which affects the ability to recover. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis describes the knowledge related to the characteristics of ice hockey, basic human anatomy, compensatory exercises and their types, as well as the posture, the distribution of stretching and recovery and its types. The theoretical part served as a literary and theoretical basis for the practical part. In the practical part of the thesis, a mixed research was developed. This research was carried out with probands for 3 months in the premises of the Sedlčany Winter Stadium and in the players' home environment. In the practical part, a kinesiological analysis (entry, control, exit) and six compensatory exercise therapy sessions were carried out, exercise units of dynamic and static stretching was developed, questionnaires on players' stretching and questionnaires on Borg scale of subjective effort targeted on exercise units of stretching were collected. From the results of the research, it was found that compensatory exercise positively affects the posture of ice hockey players and stretching has a positive effect on the recovery of ice hockey players within their performance. From the Borg scale questionnaires, a decreasing trend of expended effort was found for most of the exercises of the dynamic and static stretching exercise units. This thesis can also serve physiotherapists, ice hockey coaches or the general public interested in similar issues.
