Vyhodnocení reprodukčních schopností a růstu potomstva u plemene Masný simentál
Chytka, Vladimír
Beef Simental is a beef breed that is bred almost all over the world. In the Czech Republic there is the third most widespread of meat breeds in the number of cows. Most breeding bulls of this breed act in natural breeding, which confirms its popularity in commercial crosses. This diploma thesis was focused on growth ability and evaluation of reproductive indicators in five breeds dealing with breeding of this breed in performance control. The influence of breeding conditions, sex, breeding method, calving on weight of calf at birth, at 120, 210 and 365 days was monitored. Furthermore, the length of the interim period, the age at the first calving and the order of calving of the cows in the herd of individual breeders were determined. The influence of breeding conditions, breeding method, sex and calving rank was statistically highly significant (p ˂ 0.01). Difference between calves born after insemination bulls and after natural breeding was 25 kg. Bulls had higher weights in all reference periods (120, 210 and 365 days). The difference between the average weight of a bull and a heifer was 146 kg. There was a statistically significant difference (p ˂ 0,01) between the calves from the first calvers and the cows on the second calf and the other calves in weight. The average age at first calving in the evaluated farms is 954 days which confirms the current trend but is in conflict with the breeding goal of this breed.
Využití plemene suffolk v malochovu
Blažek, Matěj
In this bachelor thesis I dealt with the influences that affect the growth and the car-cass value of suffolk lambs in small farms. From domestic and foreign citations, the most important influence is nutrition, but also age, gender, litter or breed. Rams have a better nutrient conversion than ewes, single-rats have better growth and carcass values compared to twins or moths, ewes have better and fatter meat than rams or castrates, meat breeds have the best daily gains and have the best carcass value. Part of this work is the proposal of material and methodology for monitoring growth and carcass values, which I designed for use in a small farm at Mr. Sysala's farm, where we weighed the suffolk lambs in February 2019. I will continue this weighing I will pre-sent in my thesis.

Analýza průběhu výkrmu býků českého strakatého plemene
BALDÍK, Rudolf
Czech mottled cattle is the original breed of cattle in the Czech Republic. It is part of a worldwide population of mottled breeds of the same phylogenetic origin, widespread, for all its continents, for its excellent properties and widespread use. It currently accounts for about one half of the total cattle population in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work was to monitor the growth of fattened bulls, focusing on the last half year of fattening and trying to determine the inflection point of fattening this breed under given breeding conditions. Furthermore, the monitored bulls were compared on the basis of genetic potential, ie the representation of the blood of the Czech spotted breed and according to the father. Fattening bulls are only from their own breeding as weaners from milked herds. The bulls are fattened up to the age of 24 months and are divided into groups of about 24pcs, depending on the weight. The feed is given to them twice a day, at regular intervals, with a mixing feed wagon with weight. The feed consists of corn silage, clover-grass silage and a core mixture, which the company produces itself. The results obtained did not show a statistically significant difference in the pre-slaughter live weight by father line, by month of birth of the individuals studied or by age at slaughter. Only by comparing the live weight before slaughter by SEUROP, there was a statistically significant difference.
Assessment of age and growth increments of pearl mussel (\kur{Margaritifera margaritifera}) shells
HOLEČKOVÁ, Karolína
The aim of the diploma thesis was to assess the quality of localities and their suitability for possible juvenile reintroduction based on the morphometric parameters and the age of dead freshwater pearl mussels (Margaritifera margaritifera). The age of the dead individuals was determined from the stained cross section of pearl shell layer. Shells were sampled on localities in Aš (Bystřina, Lužní potok, Rokytnice and Újezdský potok) and Šumava (Blanice, Kleine Ohe and Zlatý potok) in the Czech Republic and in the adjacent parts of Germany in 2015 and 2017. A total of 77 shells were used. Shells of larger sizes were found out in the Aš region. The average age of the shells was 46 years and did not differ between the regions. The average annual increments did also not differ between regions. It was 72,5 ?m.year-1. Shells of individuals originated from Rokytnice and Újezdský potok reached the highest age and had the greatest annual increments. Shells of individuals originated from Zlatý potok reached the lowest age and their annual increments were the lowest.
Růst a jatečná hodnota jehňat plemene suffolk při aplikaci pastevního výkrmu
Rybová, Hana
This bachelor thesis deals with the growth and carcass value of lamb breed Suffolk in the application of pasture fattening. Foreign and domestic literature sources are used in this work. Sources concerning the effects on growth and carcass value of lambs. Among the main factors that relate to growth and carcass value belongs nutrition, breed, sex and litter size. The biggest impact on growth and carcass value are nutrition and health. Other factors also have a significant impact, but i tis also impact theirs combination. Also important are the way of weaning and fattening lambs. An integral part of this work is proposal material for evaluation growth and carcass value on the farm in the application of pasture fattening. In 2016 it began weighing lambs.
Vlivy působící na hmotnost jehňat ve 100 dnech u plemene texel
STRNAD, Ladislav
The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the chosen influences which effects the weight of lambs in the age of 100 days of breed texel. The evalution was done from 2013 to 2016 and the basic data set is consisted of 1149 lambs. The observed effects were sex, litter size, month of birth, year of birth, mother's age, father's line, and mother's father line. There was found a statistically highly significant difference in the monitoring of sex influence in male lambs (34,69 kg). A statistically significant difference was found in singles (35,14 kg) when evaluating the influence of litter size. There was found a statistically significant differences between the lambs born in May (36,78 kg) and February (37,29 kg), according to the influence of the month of birth. There is also the influence of the year of birth, a statistically highly significant difference was found between 2016 and 2015. There wasn't found a statistically significant difference in the influence of the mother's age. The influence of the father's line proved a statistically highly significant differences in the TAXI line (36,81 kg) and TAYLOR (37,76 kg). The evaluating of the influence of the mother's father line didn´t show a statistically significant difference in the TRISK line (48,50 kg). There wasn´t found a statistically significant difference in interaction of mother's father line and litter size.
Crate and alternative housing systems of lactating sows
Kocourková, Zuzana ; Chaloupková, Helena (advisor) ; Kristýna, Kristýna (referee)
The aim of this work was to compare weight gain, mortality of piglets, and sows and piglets activity using permanent or temporary crating during lactation. Recently, animal breeding places great emphasis on improving welfare, by accepting their biological and behavioral needs. It was predicted that there will be no differences in piglet mortality in both housing systems. There was predicted an increase in short-term effect of activity in sows at day 4 after opening the farrowing crate. 27 sows were included in this study. Sow activity was measured by changing her positions at Day 3, 4, 5 and day 25 and the level of cortisol at Day 5 and 25. Piglets were weighted at day3, 4, 5 and 25 and mortality was analyzed every day. The short-term (day 5th after farrowing) and long-term effect (on the 25th day after farrowing) after opening the farrowing crate was analyzed. All statistical models included the housing, parity sows and litter size. On the fifth day, the activity of sows freely in the pen was higher (p=0.002). Litter size had an effect on growth rate of piglets (p<0.001) and the frequency of "rolling" of the sows (p=0.009). Parity of sows had an influence on the activity of sows (p=0.04). Measurements on the 25th of day after farrowing showed the effect of parity of sows (p=0.013) and litter size (p<0.001) on weight gain of piglets, piglet mortality should only be affected by litter size (p=0.001). Type of crating had only a short-term effect on the activity of sows in the whole experiment. Cortisol levels between groups of sows did not differ. The type of crating had no significant effect on mortality and growth of piglets. Temporary crating does not diminish the economic indicators of litter and also more provides welfare to sows and piglets. It would therefore be appropriate if permanent crating would be replaced by a temporal crating in the future.

Nouza, Petr ; Buřilová, Marcela (advisor) ; Římanová, Radka (referee)
This Bachelor thesis presents acquisition in specialized libraries focused on history. Special attention is paid to military history. In the first part I generally characterize subject of history. It is followed by description of information sources in Czech Republic. The most important part was based on research and consultation in four libraries: Institute of History, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Institute of Contemporary history, Vojenský historický ústav and its affiliated library of Ministry of Defence. The last one is slightly different in collection which consists merely of military documents.
Demographic development in the Czech Republic in the frame of territorial solidarity
Pánková, Veronika ; Prášilová, Marie (advisor) ; Anna, Anna (referee)
Demographic development of population is the important phenomenon within the cohetion regions of the Czech Republic. It helps to evaluate social, economic and political level in the Czech Republic. The objective of my Thesis is the evaluation of the demographic development of 8 regions in a Framework of the European Union since the origin of the Czech Republic regional system in 2000 up to 2014. I have also described the basic demographic elements for this development evaluation-gender amount of population, new born, diseased people and also their abortion, number of marriages and divorces with the emphasis of migration. The Thesis is focused on natural population growth in particular regions. Surplus value of the population growth has always been the positive phenomenon for peopleś quality life judgement. On the other hand the minus value has shown the decrease of population caused by the higher amount od diseased than new born.
