EMG biofeedback
Toman, Jakub ; Hrozek, Jan (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis describes the basic methods of bringing out the electromyographic data by invazive and noninvazive procedure. Further it is focused on the principle of the biological feedback and on the myofeedback and its essential characteristics. The created application can displays the progression of the maesured EMG, signalizes the overrun of the set up threshold and contains two simply games for myofeeedback.
Evaluation of upper limb muscle fatigue
Netopil, Ondřej ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Horáková, Pavla (advisor)
This work deals with the evaluation of upper limb muscle fatigue by analyzing the signal of surface electromyography. It briefly describes the human muscle of anatomical and physiological point of view. There is also described a mechanism of symptoms of muscle fatigue. The work devots to electromyography, electromyography signal processing and evaluation of muscle fatigue using electromyography. The aim is to evaluate muscle fatigue in trained and untrained person depending on gender and depending on the size of the load, which is proportional to each volunteer separately. The measurement is performed on twelve young volunteers. For measurement is used the Biopac system. The magnitude is determined using a dynamometer. The results of this work show that the most tired are untrained men, then untrained women, then trained men and at least tired are the trained women.
The variability of the distribution of pressure forces on the foot with coupling EMG
Semeráková, Nikola ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Koťová, Markéta (advisor)
The bachelor work is focused on the distribution of pressure forces in the area of the foot with support from electromyography. Part of the work deals with the physiology of leg muscles and where the groups of muscles responsible for standing are defined. After that the thesis focuses on postural stability, the foot vault and biomechanical parameters. Additionally, there's the defining of the principles of electromyography and dynamic pavement. Furthermore, the thesis focused on describing how the data is processed, first from elektromyograph and then from dynamic pavement. Finally, there are outcomes from these devices, which are compared and evaluated, there are also partial parameters for electromyography and for the dynamic pavement.
Control possibilities of myoelectric upper limb prostheses
Chalupa, Daniel ; Sadovský, Petr (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to propose an algorithm to differentiate fingers and patterns in electromyographic signal for further use in upper limb prosthetics control. Testing and analysis of proposed method is included.
Structural members of prostheses of upper extremities
Mužný, Lukáš ; Opl, Miroslav (referee) ; Matějka, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the upper limb prosthesis. The target of the project is to create an overview of the distribution and types of prostheses and their individual elements. In particular, it deals with the problem myoelctric prostheses. Provides information on the biomechanics of human arm, specifies options grip of the object, gives an overview of the research centers and their substitutes developed upper limbs. It also focuses on the possibility of prostheses control by myoelectric signals.
Electromyography in therapy
Janoušek, Oto ; Hrubeš, Jan (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The Master’s thesis describes electromyographic methods and it is focused on one of them - myofeedback. There are described principle, realization and application of myofeedback in this thesis. There is explained positive influence of using therapeutic games in therapeutic process. The diploma thesis deals with a realization and description of MFB-Amos apllication which allows to upgrade an electromyograph by myofeedback enabling of using the therapeutic games. Application allows measure of EMG signal and consecutive analysis, and offers three therapeutic games.
Therapeutic game implementation with use of EMG signal
Drozd, Tomáš ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Hesko, Branislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes electromyography which we can use for biofeedback. At first, it describes electromyography and methods of measuring. Then biofeedback is described and its usage for therapeutic purposes or therapeutic games. Also it introduces BITalino device which represents low-cost solution for biofeedback. For practical uses there is provided a program written in C++ which includes Super Mario World. Appliation also draws measuered signal and parameteres calcuted from it.
Acceleration and motion of upper limbs
Novotný, Adam ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Purpose of this work is mainly the description of electrical plots in skeletal muscles and secondarily experimental verification and description of methods connected with measuring and evaulating biosignals. The theoretical presentation of muscle physiology facts is supplemented with an experiment using pair t-test, which describes procedures leading to evaluating particular hypotheses (the measured muscle is biceps brachii). In this work, the biosignal is an EMG signal, thus the electrical activity of muscle. Therefore, the main objective of this work is not only about using EMG as an examination method, but also about showing a complex view at the recording, processing and evaluating of EMG signal. These facts are supplemented with programm application which is showing the way working with EMG signals and also the possibilities of algorithm development in such signals.
Effectiveness of rehabilitation of the upper limb
Rexová, Natálie ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Horáková, Pavla (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor‘s thesis is to examine muscle bioelectrical activity and its measuring in the BIOPAC system. To better understand this subject this bachelor’s thesis takes interest in a muscle tissue and all its main structure. It is also focused on electromyography as a significant diagnostic method in medicine. Subsequently there is an introduction to the practical part of bachelor‘s thesis. In this chapter the main focus is aimed at monitoring the parameters of the surface EMG signal of brachioradialis muscle. The measurements are collected in three phases, before, during and at the end of the proposed process of the strengthening of brachiotadialis muscle. The measured values are statistically processed and then interpreted. The final chapter seeks to specify the motivational activities and the enhancement of effectiveness of exercise.
Electromyography, measurement of muscle electric activity
Kořínek, Peter ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The task of this thesis was to become acquainted with the issue of measuring of muscle electric activity. In the theoretical part we became familiar with the computer measuringsystem BIOPAC and its options to measure monitored magnitudes. This continue with practical part, in which we watch the problematic according to a theory in a group of people. We learned data with BIOPAC according to protocol of the result of physicaleffort influence on EMG. In the end the results were statistically analysed. The data as a product offallowing research were verified by hypothesis. In thelast step, the data are presented in graphical user interface development environment. After loading of the EMG of measured person, the process are displayed-without, with and after the power with onus. It is possible to choose from different analyses.
