The influence of running shoes on leg and pelvis kinematics during the stance phase of run
Novák, Čestmír ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: The influence of running shoes on leg and pelvis kinematics during the stance phase of run Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to detect whether there exists a connection between the type of shoes used and changes in pelvis and legs kinematics in sagittal plane while running. Methology: For a purpose of the thesis research 12 active sportsmen (6 men and 6 women) participated in lab tests. Each of them was running on a tread mill for three time sequences - each counting 20 seconds - with changes in conditions applied as follows: barefoot run, minimalistic shod run, classic shod run. The 3D analysis was analysed using the Qualisys system (200 Hz). Data analytics was executed using the Qualisys Track Manager programme, where a comparative method was applied. Further statistical procedures ANOVA a Tukey test were performed in a programme called OriginPro 8. Key findings: The executed lab tests proved influence of running shoes on legs and pelvis kinematics during a stance phase of run. The main changes in kinematics were found in an ancle during touchdown, where the angle significantly increased while running barefoot rather than classic shod running. An analysis of pelvis kinematics parameters has proven that there are no changes in pelvis movements while running in different types...

Title: Terrain and laboratory testing in Snowboardcross Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the validity between terrain and laboratory tests and to evaluate the relationship of tests and the rating of the Czech National Cup in snowboardcross. Methods: Laboratory measurement of lower body measured by Bosco test (repeated jumps per 60 seconds), followed by terrain testing of lower body, which is consisted of broad jump, triple jump and shuttle run 4x10 meters. The probands are 3 female athletes in snowboardcross discipline, aged from 13 to 15 year old. The results of terrain and laboratory testing was compared with the results of rating of Czech National Cup. Results: We discovered that laboratory and terrain tests are similar. The probands has had the same position in 5 tests of 6 total. That means, that proband with the best results of terrain testing has also the best results in laboratory testing. But no proven connection between results of the test and their standing in rating of the Czech National Cup was found. The results of the best proband proved the best performance in races, but the results of remaining probands didn't confirm this relationship. The proband with the worst results of testing (laboratory and terrain) took 4th place in the rating of the Czech...

Title: Systematic review of the influence of lower limbs and trunk strength on aerobic performance during loaded marching Goals: On the basis of a literature review, find out what is the relationship between the lower limbs and trunk strenght and between the aerobic performance during loaded marching. Alternatively, to determine the effect of the development of strength skills of the lower limbs and trunk on aerobic performance during loaded marching. Method: The presented study is processed in the form of a systematic search with correlation elements. The Web of Science database was selected to search for articles. The search was performed using a search script that had four parts. The last part of the search script generated 44 articles. These articles were then analyzed and studies were selected according to predetermined criteria. From the 44 generated studies, two were selected that met all criteria. Another six selected studies were then sought in an unsystematic way. Thus, a total of eight studies were included in the search. Conclusion: The results of the correlation coefficients between the lower limbs and trunk strenght and between the aerobic performance during load marching indicated in most cases a positive relationship, although the values were not completely significant. The increase...
Utilization of standardized tests in traumatology from physiotherapist point of view
Chaloupková, Veronika ; Nováková, Petra (advisor) ; Havlová, Martina (referee)
Title of bachelor thesis: Utilization of standardized tests in traumatology from physiotherapist point of view Abstract: This bachelor thesis brings a complete overview and comparison of standardized tests for lower extremities in patients after trauma of lower extremities. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the classification of injuries, general characteristics of standardized tests and standardized tests for lower extremities. The practical part consists of mutual comparing tests for evaluation of lower extremities, that could be used in a patient after trauma of lower extremities in terms of basic characteristics and parameters. Simultaneously three case studies are performed, where self-sufficiency has been evaluated using selected tests: Barthel Index and Modified Rivermead Index of Mobility and evaluation of functional lower extremity assessment using selected tests: Berg Balance Scale, Harris hip score, Oxford hip score, Oxford knee score, 2 minute walk test and Foot and ankle disability index. The testing was demonstrated at the beginning and end of the rehabilitation program with one-week distance. The results were evaluated and then compared. Key words: lower extremity, standardized tests, traumatology, measurement properties

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Student: Jan Juhász Supervisor: Prof. MUDr. Radomír Hrdina, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Treatment of lower extremity peripheral artery disease The lower extremities ischemia is a disease caused most often by atherosclerosis during which the lumen in lower limb arteries becomes narrow. Its prevalence is increasing, especially in the developed countries. The disease can be asymptomatic and symptomatic. The symptoms are very unpleasant and decrease patient's quality of life. Advanced stages of the disease may be life threatening. Therefore, it is vital to timely and correctly diagnose the illness. During the therapy, it is possible to use pharmacological as well as non-pharmacological procedures, and, preferably, a combination of the two types of treatment. The pharmacotherapy can be divided into several parts. The prevention of atherosclerotic complications makes use of preventive measures and antiplatelet therapy to reduce the cardiovascular risk. The symptoms therapy focuses on improving patients' quality of life by prescribing the vasoactive medications cilostazol, naftidrofuryl or pentoxifylin. The critical limb ischemia therapy uses prostaglandin analogues alprostadil, iloprost, limaprost or...
