Objectives and tasks of catechesis in the current documents of the Magisterium

This thesis deals with the objectives and tasks of catechesis in the current documents of the Magisterium. The artist works primarily with the Apostolic Exhortations Evangelii nuntiandi, Catechesi tradendae and with the document Directorium generale pro catechesi. After a critical review of literature the thesis seeks identity of catechesis in the Churchʼs evangelising activity, than tries to analyse features of the Christian, Church Community and Church, to be achieved by means of catechesis. The objectives of catechesis are achieved through tasks of catechesis. The thesis seeks to look up tasks of catechesis of the analysed documents of Magisterium and tries to accord this tasks to three pillars of the identity of catechesis: education of faith, service to Godʼs word, the activity of the Church. The thesis analyses the tasks of catechesis as education of faith in three levels. First, tasks of catechesis according to degree of maturity of faith - to wake up, to develop, to lead towards maturity, to strenghten the faith. The Adult as a Catechesis Participant and Recipient

The title of the thesis is "The Adult as a Catechesis Participant and Recipient". The first part of the thesis introduces the issue of adult catechesis. It describes the ways in which the Church has, since its beginning (in its original practice), strived to tackle this phenomenon and provides an overview of the most important magisterial documents related to this topic. It also outlines the current challenges faced by the Church. Subsequently, attention is given to the prerequisites which an adult as a recipient and co-worker in the catechetical process should meet. Besides considering the current scientific psychological view of general human maturity, the thesis deals with the dynamics of faith development and its maturation. Furthermore the thesis outlines the goals of adult catechesis as well as the subsequent work which is crucial to continuing education. Finally, the thesis outlines the pastoral-catechetical view of adults.

Religious Education of Youth in the Church of Brethrens

This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of religious education of youth in the Church of Brethren. Its main aim is to describe the process of religious education of youth according to the theoretical and practical sources of the Church of Brethren. The results were compared in the last part of the thesis to the educational concepts of other churches studied in the theoretical part. The theoretical part defines the terms related to religious education such as catechesis, pastoral care, evangelization, discipleship, religious pedagogy etc. It also includes the characteristics of the Church of Brethren and youth in the context of postmodern era. The last chapter deals with religious education of youth in church in general with regards to the personality of a youth pastor, educational goals and teaching methods. The practical part is designed as an analysis of three areas: Department of Youth of the Church of Brethren, other Christian organizations working with youth and an interview with the Leading pastor of the Council of the Church of Brethren who has been working with youth for many years. Prophetic model of catechesis as a response to the questions of our time

The Diploma thesis "Prophetic model of catechesis as a response to the questions of our time" examines the theme of the historical-prophetic model of catechesis. The study part of the work looks at the model in the context of the biblical concept of prophecy consummated in the personality of Jesus of Nazareth and as one of the manifestations of the participation of those baptised in Christ's prophetic office, realised in the evangelical mission of the Church. His sensitivity to social challenges, the emphasis laid on small Christian communities, and the entitlement to Christian engagement are viewed within the scope of the Social Doctrine of the Church and its development after the Second Vatican Council. The authorial part of the work presents original catechesis to the current social topic, read through the prism of gospel and Christian belief. The objective of the work is to show how the historical-prophetic model of catechesis can help adult believers understand the "signs of the times" and contribute to the growth of Christian community. The objective is to be achieved by submitting the topic to the members of two small communities and evaluating the results of the meeting.

The Maria Montessori's Method of Religious Educationin Ecumenical Catechesis.

The thesis focuses on the Maria Montessori's method of religious education, how it has taken root in christian catechesis. The purpose of the Petra Bandhauer thesis is to analyse its principles, to describe its development and the way of reception by the educationalists. To provide a deeper glimpse into the field of the theological anthropology the author compares some of Montessori's opinions, most criticised, with the views of Wolfhart Pannenberg and Karl Rahner. The last aim is to introduce the way of reflection of Montessori religious education in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and in Godly Play, to examine their practice both in Germany and in the Czech Republic and to highlight the potential they have for the spiritual formation of children in the ecumenical christian society.

Catechesis of the Adults after the Second Vatican Council

The teoretical work deals with catechesis of adults after II. Vatican Council. The aim is its description and respond to the Council regarding adult recipient. The work first characterizes catechesis througout history wit emphasis on its christocentrism. It describes II. Vatican Council and its impact on catechesis foucusing on odult recipients. The thesis describes situations in which the adult catechists can be found. It contains talks about the principles and methods of fheir education. Also there is a description of fhe papal encyclicals on the subject of adult catechesis today. The issue of te engagement of young adults is illustrated by an illustrative poll in the Veselíčko parish.

Mystagogic catecheses about the effect of the Holy Spirit in chosen Sacraments

Based on the theology of the Holy Spirit and his role in the process of Christian initiation in particular, this bachelor thesis attempts to draft a mystagogical catechesis of the impact of the Holy Spirit in chosen sacraments. First, this thesis deals with the impact of the Holy Spirit in the history of salvation and specifically on the term spirit in the Sacred Scripture. Then the thesis will deal with the impact of the Holy Spirit in the process of the Christian initiation. The last part includes a draft of a mystagogical catechesis concerning the impact of the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of baptism, confirmation, Eucharist and the sacrament of confession which should help neophytes to deepen their lives from sacraments. Comparison of selected catechetical aids in connection with the sacrament of Confirmation

This thesis "Comparison of selected catechist tools in connection with the sacrament of Confirmation" compares selected catechist books regarding the criteria related to theological, anthropological and catechist themes. The first part presents theological themes - it includes the form and quality of informing about the Holy Spirit and its demonstration in the Old and New Testament, as well as liturgical demonstration of the Church in connection with the Holy Spirit and the dimension of symbols. Further it covers the relation of the Holy Trinity to the sacraments and the close relation of the initiation sacraments with its effect on the receiver. It also deals with the position of catechism in relation to evangelisation and the fact how its structure reflects the catechumen's faith. The second part describes anthropological themes - it focuses on the natural behaviour of the humans, their relation to rituals, on the process of maturing and the importance of a community in the life of a human being from the point of view of faith and religious experience. In the third part we compare the contents and the tasks of the catechisms in the selected catechist tools.
