Štefánková, Gabriela ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Hájková, Jana (referee)
TITLE Injury rate in female artistic gymnastics AUTHOR Gabriela Štefánková DEPARTMENT Department of physical education SUPERVISOR PaeDr. Ladislav Pokorný ABSTRACT This work deals with the issue of injuries in women's artistic gymnastics. The principle for elaboration is to map and compare injuries in gymnastics during sports training and competitions, from the perspective of individual gymnastic tools. Furthermore, the work deals with the inclusion of compensatory exercises in sports training, severity of injuries, treatment and subsequent rehabilitation. The first part of the elaboration includes a detailed overview of the required theoretical background. The theoretical section contains information regarding the history of sports gymnastics, the Czech competitive gymnastics program, including the evaluation of gymnastic assemblies and overview of individual gymnastic tools. Furthermore, the theoretical work focuses on the concept of injuries, regeneration and rehabilitation. In the second part of the work there is separate research. The research includes more information about women's injuries in sports gymnastics. Using the questionnaire method, it is established whether injuries occur more frequently at training or in the race, on which tools injuries occur most frequently, whether regeneration...

Benetková, Hana ; Panská, Šárka (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Eva (referee)
Title: Kinematic and kinetic analysis of artistic gymnastic jumps Objectives: The aim of my master thesis is execution of kinematic - kinetic analysis of jumps in artistic gymnastics, processing data, counting force moment, which does the rotation around ventrodorsal axis, means abduction and adduction motion and recount normalized moment (moment share by body weight). Methods: The kinematic - kinetic analysis of jumps in artistic gymnastics was done by using systems Qualysis Motion Capture System and Kistler. Results: We have been researching four different gymnastic jumps in this study. Four healthy individuals underwent the measurement. They have done each jump in free valid times. There was measured abduction moment of knee joint in each jump. Adduction moments were present only in 32 % cases and lot of them hasn't significant value. There was measured abduction moment in bounces in each jump, value of standardized adduction moment wasn't signifiant. There was measured just abduction moments in dismounts of non-rotational jumps. In dismounts of rotational jumps (around longitudinal axes) was measured abduction and also adduction moment. Values of normalized abduction moments were between 0,3 - 11 m2 .s-2 . Values of normalized adduction moments were between 0 - 10 m2 .s-2 . Highest values of...
Adaptation of organism on training load in artistic gymnastics
Duba, Jiří ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Chrudimský, Jan (referee)
Title: Adaptation of organism on training load in artistic gymnastics Objectives: The goal of this crosscutting study is to discover how the artistic gymnasts in prechool age and school age differ from other children in the same age category. Methods: The method of this study consisted of analysis of body composition of 82 boys in age 7,51 ±1,9. Kruskal Wallis test was used to test the hypothesis of conformity in the results of individual variables across test groups to compare differences among all groups. A Mann- Whitney U test with Bonferroni correction was used in post-hoc analysis. Results: Statistically significant differences between gymnasts and other participants were found in the percentage body fat. The school age with values (p ˂ 0,001), (r = 0,542) and the preschool age (p = 0,015), (r = 0,530). There were not statistically significant differences in the other measures. Conclusion: Surprisingly, gymnasts in both age groups did not differ very much in most categories. Statistically significant difference was between gymnasts and other in percentage body fat, where gymnasts had these values much lower across all categories. Trkalová, Hana ; Chrudimský, Jan (advisor) ; Novotná, Viléma (referee)
Title: Evulation the level of acquiring selected skills of artistic gymnastics in the basic training stage Objectives: The main goal to be achieved in my thesis is to asses the changes in the adoption level of selected motor skills of gymnasts aged 7-9 years in the basic training. Methods: I used qualitative and quantitative methods of research to resolve main goals of this thesis and to find answers on established scientific questions and the resulting hypothesis. The most important is the choice of appropriate criterion of evaluation according to the evaluation of the adoption level of selected gymnastic skills.Gained datas will be processed through statistics methods. Training diary will be used to monitor and record the content of the training. Results: Results show that the adoption level of selected skills improved at predetermined skills as well as for all the tested gymnasts. Keywords: artistic gymnastics, evaluation, gymnastics skills
Level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts
Bendová, Eva ; Hájková, Jana (advisor) ; Mojžíš, Otakar (referee)
This master thesis focuses on the influence that artistic gymnastics has on the coordination abilities of young school age girls. The purpose of this thesis was to use motor tests in the field to compare the level of coordination abilities of young school age artistic gymnasts with that of non-sporting girls. The tests results were subsequently statistically evaluated and commented upon. Another aim of the thesis was to compare the coordination abilities of artistic gymnasts aged 6 - 8 years with those of artistic gymnasts aged 9 - 11 years whilst they were undertaking particular tests. From the tests results it can be seen that artistic gymnastics has a positive effect on the level of the childrens coordination abilities. This finding is supported by the fact that in all tests the artistic gymnasts succeeded better than the non-sporting girls. Of the two groups the older girls (9 - 11 years) were more succesful than the younger group (6 - 8 years). The theoretical part of the thesis describes the Child's Motor Development, emphasizing the relationship between coordination abilities and young school age. It discusses the environment of the branch of sport called "women's artistic gymnastics" and the need for the children's sports training.

Title: The Effect of Expertise in Elite Artistic Gymnasts on Postural Control Objective: The main aim of this thesis is to assess the level of postural stability in elite artistic gymnasts using NeuroCom Smart EquiTest System dynamic computer posturograph and to compare the measured data with a control group of people who do not do any elite sport activity. Methods: In this quantitative observational study were involved 32 probands aged 18-28 years. The probands were divided into two groups. The experimental group consisted of elite male and female gymnasts (n=16) in the selected age range of 18-27 years, with a mean age 21,38 years. The control group consisted of the people who do not do any elite sport activity (n=16) in the age range of 22-28 years, with a mean age of 25,08 years. The experimental group was further divided into individuals with a history of knee injury (n=8) in the age range 18-27 years, with mean age of 22,01 years and without injury (n=8) in the age range 19-24 years with mean age of 20,75 years. The NeuroCom Smart EquiTest System was chosen to objectively assess postural stability. The actual measurements were performed in the kinesiology laboratory at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. Five protocols were selected from the whole set of tests:...
Proposal of an intervention program for the development of speed preconditions for gymnasts of younger school age
Mejzrová, Adéla ; Kašparová, Alena (advisor) ; Novotná, Viléma (referee)
Characteristics: This thesis deals with women's artistic gymnastics, and especially the speed training of young gymnasts, for whom vault is one of the key competitive event of competitive performance. The thesis also contains the issue of motor skills, especially speed skills and characteristics of younger school age. The bachelor thesis presents a proposal for an intervention program developing speed requirements for a selected group of gymnasts. The dynamics of run-up is one of the prerequisites for a successful jump in gymnastics. Thanks to the run-up, the gymnast gains the necessary energy to perform the jump, and therefore it is necessary to develop the speed assumptions in early childhood. Goal: The main goal of the bachelor thesis is a literature research for the design of a battery of recommended exercises and an intervention program focused on the development of speed prerequisites for gymnasts of younger school age. The battery of recommended exercises and intervention program are created not only on the basis of a literary research, but also established criteria, such as age, skill level and competition discipline. The thesis can be an inspiration for teachers and coaches of other sport specializations. The bachelor thesis forms a theoretical basis for the planned research measurement of...
