Apartment building
Zápotočná, Jana ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Brukner, Bohuslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the development of project documentation for the construction of a residential building with almost zero energy consumption. The main objectives of this work include the design of the layout, construction, and material solutions. The building of the apartment building is a detached new building, which has one underground floor with garages. In total the building contains 6 studios and 20 apartment units. The fourth floor is partially stepped with access to the flat roof. The building is roofed with two types of flat roofs and one gable roof with 20° pitch. The new building is located in a relatively sloping terrain of the urban area Kňažia, Dolný Kubín, on the plot KN-C 2110/10, which allowed barrier-free access to the building from the garage and at the same time and through the main entrance located on the landing. The facade of the apartment building is designed as ETICS with white RAL 9016 plaster. In the places of loggias and balconies there is a brick facing and in the place of the staircase proposed ventilated facade with cladding with corrugated metal in RAL7016. The windows are designed as plastic, on the exterior side in anthracite RAL 7016 and on the interior side in grey RAL 9006. The residential building is based on a reinforced concrete slab foundation. The basement construction system is combined with perimeter reinforced concrete walls and internal load-bearing columns. In the above-ground floors it is already a transverse wall system, formed by reinforced concrete walls. The construction of the gable roof is made of wooden glued trusses with metal roofing. This bachelor thesis also deals with the assessment of the building in terms of fire safety, thermal engineering, acoustics, glazing and day lighting.
House

The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is to design a low-energy detached house. It is located in South Moravian region, in the town Břeclav in a new development area on the outskirt of the town. The building is two-storey with a garage for two cars which has a walkable sedum roof with a sunporch. The building has a flat roof. The main entrance is situated to the south-east. On the first floor is a living space of the house where is a big room which consists of the living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also an office, bathroom, WC, garage and utility room. On the second floor is a private zone where is a master bedroom with WC, two bedrooms, storage and bathroom. Structural system is masonry made of ceramic blocks. On the first storey is ventilated facade with wooden cladding. Floor slabs are prefabricated rib-and-filler floor. Heating will be provided by floor heating. Main heat source is air to water heat pump with integrated hot water cylinder in inner unit, which ensures potable hot water. Pipes for hot potable water and potable water will be located in suspended ceiling. House will be ventilated by mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery which will provide 250 m3/h of fresh air and draft the same amount of air out from the house. Air ducts will be located in suspended ceiling. Rain water from roofs will be collected in storage tank and excessive water will then flow to the infiltration tank. Stored water can be used for watering the garden.
Single-family house
Grančay, Martin ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a two-storey detached energy efficient house for family with four members. First part of the thesis is focused on structural and architectural design of the house. The design will also include an assessment in terms of thermal engineering, acoustics, daylighting and sun glare and fire safety. The loadbearing structure of the house is a timber frame from I-joists which provides reduction of thermal bridges in wall structure. The main structure is supported by strip foundations made from reinforced concrete. On the first floor there is a main living area consisting of kitchen, dining area and living room with southwest views to the garden. On the first floor there are also rooms such as the office, utility room, toilet and entrance hall with windows facing to northeast direction. Second floor is designed to be the private zone of the house. On the second floor there is a master bedroom with en-suite, two children bedrooms, closet, bathroom and separate toilet. Second part of the thesis is focused on building services. The house is heated and cooled by an air-to-water heat pump system. The heating and cooling is provided by a radiant floor system. The heat pump's indoor unit has an integrated 190-liter hot water cylinder. The building also uses mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery with capacity of 350 m/h. Rainwater will be collected in a 6 m storage tank on the property with safety overflow to infiltration system. Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of the house to generate electricity in a hybrid system with a capacity of 5,74 kWp.

Load bearing walls are masonry designed from sand-lime blocks with external mineral wool insulation. Horizontal load bearing structures will be made from reinforced cast on site concrete. Partition walls are planned to be from plasterboard. The main source of heat for the house will be air to water heat pump with performance of 8,02 kW and inbuilt electric insert to get temperature needed for floor heating. For hot water there will be separate hot water cylinder with volume 208 l and inbuilt electric insert. The ventilation system will be MVHR with air exchange of 310 m3/h and bypass system. The internal sewage system will be connected to the city sewer, while rainwater will be collected, used for watering garden, or infiltrated into the soil. For cooling external shutters will be enough.
Apartment building
Soukalová, Eliška ; Blažková, Vendula (referee) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the project documentation of a new residential building in Litomyšl. The proposed structure is situated on the outskirts of the city in a newly emerging residential area. The apartment building is designed as a standalone structure with four above-ground floors and one underground floor. The building comprises 12 residential units, each with a cellar compartment in the basement and its own parking space located in the underground garage. Common areas also include a technical room, a stroller and bicycle storage room, and a meeting room. Vertical load-bearing structures are designed using lime-sand bricks (VAPIS). The perimeter wall above ground is insulated with an External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS). The roof structure is designed as a flat green roof. The proposed structure is designed with almost zero energy consumption.
New detached house in Sadová
Okleštěk, Matěj ; Krupicová, Jana (referee) ; Bantová, Sylva (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis addresses the design of a new family house with a business facility, with the project documentation developed at the construction implementation level. The family house is located on a plot in the Sadová area of Brno and is conceived as a detached, partially basement structure with two above-ground floors. It includes a separate garage for the owner and five parking spaces for customers of the business facility. The house is intended for a family of five. Each part of the building has its own separate entrance from the northeast side of the plot and is separated by fencing. The shape of the plot is irregular with a slight slope from north to south. The ground floor (1st floor) of the family house primarily contains communication areas, while the second floor (2nd floor) serves as a quiet zone with living rooms predominantly situated to the south, ensuring adequate sunlight for the building. The basement (1S) will be used for storage purposes. The business facility will be used for the owner’s business, including a barber shop and a photographic studio. The vertical load-bearing walls are made of ceramic blocks filled with mineral wool (e.g., Porotherm T Profi), eliminating the need for external insulation of the entire building. The horizontal structures are monolithic reinforced concrete, and the entire building is founded on strip foundations, which will be stepped for the basement part. Both the family house and the business facility are covered with a flat, non-walkable roof. The facade of the two-story family house is finished with white silicone plaster with slate cladding elements between the windows, while the facade of the business facility is entirely clad in anthracite-colored slate.
