The Formation and Nature of the Relations between the Government and Non-profit Organizations Case Study of Meta o.p.s.

The goal of this paper is to describe the relationship between a non-governmental organisation and the government. The paper is a case study of the non-governmental organization Meta o.p.s. which works in the field of integrating foreigners and focuses on the issue of educating pupils who speak various mother tongues. The paper deals with the development of relationships, the roles within these relationships the organization fulfils with regards to the government, and the influence these relationships with the government have on the organization's goals and development. Furthermore, the paper focuses on the persisting barriers which prevent these relationships from being created and developed. The relationships between Meta o.p.s. and the government are observed on individual levels of the public administration (national, regional, municipal). The paper consists of 4 parts. The theoretical part introduces basic theoretical starting points, namely models of relationships between the government and non-governmental organizations, and the roles fulfilled by non-governmental organizations in the society. Fundraising of the non-profit cultural project of VILA Štvanice

The work focuses on the process of creating a theatrical production under the conditions of an independent theater ensemble on a concrete case of the Prague VILLA Štvanice project. The theoretical part deals with the non-profit sector with the focus of non-governmental non-profit organization, defines the concept of fundraising and approximates the forms of theater institutions. The practical part is devoted to VILA Štvanice cultural area, specifically to its resident ensemble Tiger in Need and an example of the production of Synáčci is an analysis of its origin and the problems it has encountered. The conclusion provides assessment and possible solution of the situation.
Motivation of the patrons of arts

The Master's Thesis deals with the motivation of art patrons, with a special emphasis on contemporary patrons promoting art and culture in the Czech environment. The theoretical part focuses on defining the basic terminology and presents selected studies of volunteering and donation in the non-profit sector with a special focus on culture. The current status in this field is described from the general economic aspects of the support of arts in the Czech Republic to the psychological aspects of individuals. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the patronage of art and introduces the most important patrons of art, considering the historical context and development of the patronage in the history of Czech art. The practical part is based on the media analysis and the interview analysis and the resulting summary of the motivation of the patrons of art.
Nonprofit sector entities in the social sphere

This thesis is devoted to the nonprofit sector entities in the social sphere, which are an important tool that is used primarily for removing social exclusion in society. Social services help clients ensure the physical and mental independence so that they can participate in the daily life of society as much as possible. The aim of my thesis was to analyze the activities of selected nonprofit sector entities in the social sector, focusing on management and economics. These entities were then compared. It was concluded that all companies are the largest source of funding grants, and all companies also form long-term strategic plan of the company. The two organizations use volunteer work. And further that the future development of nonprofit organizations in social services is positive and the number is growing. It is primarily due to the aging population.
Setting up a strategic planning system in Farni charita Litomerice

The subject of a thesisentitled "Setting upa System of Strategic Planning in the Parish Charity Litoměřice" is creation of a development strategy of a specific non-profit organization according tothe methods of strategic management. The work isdivided into theoretical and practical part. Theoreticalpart defines important terms, describes processes of strategic planning and depicts strategic analysis methods. SWOT analysis and results of inner and outer environment research are captured in practical part and are based on theoretical knowledge that was described in previous chapters. Results of analysis form strategic plan of whole organization. Methodology that defines procedures and describes whole process of strategic planning is then created upon the plan.
Marketing communication of The Czech Red Cross since 2007

Bachelor thesis Marketing communication of The Czech Red Cross since 2007 until now represents the humanitarian association of the Czech Red Cross, its history, mission, areas of activity, its tradition in the context of the International Red Cross and its position in the nonprofit sector. Above all, it deals with its marketing communication. Major marketing projects of this period are analyzed, interpreted and evaluated with the help of academic literature. The paper deals with the success of these campaigns and the importance of communication of the Czech Red Cross and also with its competitors in the nonprofit sector. Based on these findings, the overall communication strategy of the Czech Red Cross is assessed and a SWOT analysis is implemented as a method to maximize the use of external and internal factors of the organization. The conclusion offers a socio-ethical perspective on the function and status of the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic and elsewhere and tries to propose further opportunities for communication of the Czech Red Cross and its differentiation from other non-profit organizations in the country.
Vliv ekonomické krize na finanční zdroje neziskových organizací

These papers focus on the financial resources of nonprofit sector and how the economic crisis had to changed them a what was the effect. By analyzing data which were collected from questionnaires and annual reports of nonprofit organizations, I'm using basic statistics came to the answer to the question whether an increase or decrease of financial resources, especially, donations, money from EU funds and state subsidies. In papers, there is also explanation of paradoxical behaviour of Czech donaters, stability of government grants as a financial resource and the different behaviour of Prague due to whole state. At the end of papers is a comparison between European nonprofit sector and American nonprofit sector, because the crisis began there and spread throughout the world, and of course, there is also comparing nonprofit sectors of Czech Republic and United States.
Analysis of development of the concept of microfinance in the Czech nonprofit sector

Abstract This thesis deals with the concept of microfinance and its development in the Czech nonprofit sector. In the first part the author deals with a brief description of this concept and its historical development over the last fifty years. Followed by analysis of itself, that tries to deal with the fact that despite the rapid global development of this worldwide phenomenon, microfinance in the Czech Republic is still a relatively new phenomenon. Author attempted semi structured interviews to map key players in the industry, discover their interests, attitudes, resources, and their declared objectives. The main point of the analysis is myElen.com, Czech internet portal, which is pretty much the main driver of all the happenings in the field of microfinance in this country. In conclusion the author offers an evaluation of analytical findings and suggests possible future steps to further exploration, as well as recommends the most appropriate steps in policy-making.
