Methods of Document Summarization on the Web
Belica, Michal ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
The work deals with automatic summarization of documents in HTML format. As a language of web documents, Czech language has been chosen. The project is focused on algorithms of text summarization. The work also includes document preprocessing for summarization and conversion of text into representation suitable for summarization algorithms. General text mining is also briefly discussed but the project is mainly focused on the automatic document summarization. Two simple summarization algorithms are introduced. Then, the main attention is paid to an advanced algorithm that uses latent semantic analysis. Result of the work is a design and implementation of summarization module for Python language. Final part of the work contains evaluation of summaries generated by implemented summarization methods and their subjective comparison of the author.
Implementation of Algorithms Based on Decision Trees in C#
Grolig, Lukáš ; Pešek, Martin (referee) ; Stríž, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on selection of data mining algorithms based on decision trees for an analytical system developed under the project System for the Internet security increase based on malware spreading analysis. Selected algorithms are described in greater detais, as well as their implementation in the C# language. These algorithms are then tested with regards to their training speed and classification accuracy. Finally, this thesis presents further conclusions and recommendations  based on performed experiments.
Analysis of User Behavior in the Wireless Networks
Jacko, Michal ; Homoliak, Ivan (referee) ; Kačic, Matej (advisor)
This paper deals with a problem of analysys of user behavior in the wireless networks. Paper describes design and implementation of a method, which can classify users by their behavior.
Draft Model Oracle BI as a Tool for Support Decision-Making
Kříž, Jan ; Juraszek, Petr (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with a very modern and fast developing area Business Intelligence and explanation concepts related to it. It also describes the usefulness of business intelligence tools, which helps managers to make decisions, management and planning. And last but not least, this thesis contains specific examples of using the Oracle BI in business practice.
Creation of New Clasification Units in Data Mining System on NetBeans Platform
Kmoščák, Ondřej ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Lukáš, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the data mining and the creation of data mining unit for data mining system, which is beeing developed at FIT. This is a client application consisting of a kernel and its graphical user interface and independent mining modules. The application uses support of Oracle Data Mining. The data mining system is implemented in Java language and its graphical user interface is built on NetBeans platform. The content of this work will be the introduction into the issue of knowledge discovery and then the presentation of the chosen Bayesian classification method, for which there will subsequently be implemented the stand-alone data mining module. Furthermore, the implementation of this module will be described.
Sequential Pattern Mining
Tisoň, Zdeněk ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hlosta, Martin (advisor)
This master's thesis is focused on knowledge discovery from databases, especially on methods of mining sequential patterns. Individual methods of mining sequential patterns are described in detail. Further, this work deals with extending the platform Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services of new mining algorithms. In the practical part of this thesis, plugins for mining sequential patterns are implemented into MS SQL Server. In the last part, these algorithms are compared on different data sets.
Analysis of Data to Solve Problems with Humidity in Buildings
Nečasová, Klára ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was to solve problems with excessive humidity in buildings using data analysis. The theoretical part of the work deals with impacts of excessive humidity on the health of building occupants and also the condition of the building structure. Data mining methods including classification, prediction, and clustering are described together with model evaluation and selection. The practical part focuses on hardware platform description and measurement scenarios. Key parameters affecting indoor relative humidity are indoor and outdoor temperature and outdoor relative humidity. The long-term measurement of the mentioned parameters was performed using the set of sensors and BeeeOn system. Measured data was used to design a system for event detection related to a humidity change. The approach to air change regulation in the room was based on natural ventilation.
Optimization of Heuristic Analysis of Executable Files
Wiglasz, Michal ; Křoustek, Jakub (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This BSc Thesis was performed during a study stay at the Universita della Svizzera italiana, Swiss. This thesis describes the implementation of a classification tool for detection of unknown malware based on their behaviour which could replace current solution, based on manually chosen attributes'scores and a threshold. The database used for training and testing was provided by AVG Technologies company, which specializes in antivirus and security systems. Five different classifiers were compared in order to find the best one for implementation: Naive Bayes, a decision tree, RandomForrest, a neural net and a support vector machine. After series of experiments, the Naive Bayes classifier was selected. The implemented application covers all necessary steps: attribute extraction, training, estimation of the performance and classification of unknown samples. Because the company is willing to tolerate false positive rate of only 1% or less, the accuracy of the implemented classifier is only 61.7%, which is less than 1% better than the currently used approach. However it provides automation of the learning process and allows quick re-training (in average around 12 seconds for 90 thousand training samples).
Web Application of Recommender System
Hlaváček, Pavel ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with problems of recommender systems and their usage in web applications. There are three main data mining techniques summarized and individual approaches for recommendation. Main part of this thesis is a suggestion and an implementation of web applications for recommending dishes from restaurants. Algorithm for food recommending is designed and implemented in this paper. The algorithm deals with the problem of frequently changing items. The algorithm utilizes hybrid filtering technique which is based on content and knowledge. This filtering technique uses cosine vector similarity for computation.
Extension of Behavioral Analysis of Network Traffic Focusing on Attack Detection
Teknős, Martin ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Homoliak, Ivan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on network behavior analysis (NBA) designed to detect network attacks. The goal of the thesis is to increase detection accuracy of obfuscated network attacks. Methods and techniques used to detect network attacks and network traffic classification were presented first. Intrusion detection systems (IDS) in terms of their functionality and possible attacks on them are described next. This work also describes principles of selected attacks against IDS. Further, obfuscation methods which can be used to overcome NBA are suggested. The tool for automatic exploitation, attack obfuscation and collection of this network communication was designed and implemented. This tool was used for execution of network attacks. A dataset for experiments was obtained from collected network communications. Finally, achieved results emphasized requirement of training NBA models by obfuscated malicious network traffic.
