Optimized Ray Tracing
Trojan, Martin ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with optimization methods for ray tracing. There are discussed several methods of acceleration structures and method for reducing the complexity of calculating intersection with complex objects. Part of the text also deals with the ray tracing method and the concepts associated with this technique. For the purposes of this thesis have been created application, which is implemented ray tracing algorithm using a uniform grid for optimization.
Rigid Body Simulation
Leitner, Denis ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with rigid body physics simulation in real time. It describes basic methods for collision detection between convex polyhedra, solving collisions and simulation of rigid body dynamics used in game development. Work also describes design and implementation of rigid body simulator written in C++ using OpenGL for rendering.
Graphics Demo with a Space Theme
Prajka, Martin ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of graphics demo with unlimited size by using OpenGL. The thesis implements post-processing effects such as shadow mapping, bloom and gaussian blur. In addition, it describes particle system and camera animation. The demo is placed in space and it is separated into the three scenes. The end of  the thesis is focused on the results of user's and performance tests.
Design of a computer mouse
Uhlíř, Filip ; Sládek, Josef (referee) ; Rajlich, Jan (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis is solved a concept of computer mouse which is designed for a small field of computer graphics and 3D graphics. My objective was design novel concept of mouse that exceed the existing production by her visage and functionality. This project contains analysis and description of technology applied in mouse and theirs historical development. Second part is dedicated to my concept, variations and its specifications.
Light Propagation Volumes
Růžička, Tomáš ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of master thesis is to describe different calculation of global illumination methods including Light Propagation Volumes. All three steps of LPV calculation are widely described: injection, propagation and rendering. It is also proposed several custom extensions improving graphics quality of this method. Two parts of design and implementation are focused on scene description, rendering system, shadow rendering, implementation of LPV method and proposed extensions. As conclusion, measurement and several images of application are presented, followed by comparison in environment with diffenent parameters, thesis summary with evaluation of achieved results and suggestions of further improvements.
Retrospective Arcade Game
Trčka, Martin ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Pospíchal, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the evolution of computer, which is inspired of historical game called Arkanoid. The first part of the thesis describes history of computer games and conputer graphics. Next section details the graphics libraries as DirectX and OpenGL.The second part of the thesis describes the plan of the game and collisional system. Then the thesis includes description of implementation, where are used object oriented design, library OpenGL and library SDL in C++. The end of thesis is devoted to testing of game.
Vizualization of static problems using computer graphics methods
Komínek, Jan ; Procházková, Jana (referee) ; Martišek, Dalibor (advisor)
This Bachelor's final project deal with vizualization stress of simple statically determinate members by software solutions. This project present basic theory of stress analysis and elasticity, basic vizualization by computer graphics methods and description of algorithms use for software solutions.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Gunia, Pavel ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This work deals with the phenomenon of graphic intros, a digital graffiti of the modern age. The focus is put on size restricted animation of size of the executable file lower than 64 kilobytes. It reveals the main techniques used. Finally, interesting aspects and experiences that came up are discussed, as well as the conclusion and future work proposal.
Fast Visualization of Precise Shadows Using Precomputed Scene Geometry
Mikeš, Tibor ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement an effective method of rendering per-pixel correct hard shadows in scenes with static geometry. The principle of the method is in separate rendering of shadowed and lit surfaces. Whether a triangle is in shadow or not is known prior to its rasterization, which allows the renderer to omit per-fragment shadow calculations. Rendering a scene in this way requires it to be preprocessed. Therefore, two possible ways of preprocessing the scenes are described and implemented as well.
3D Display
Szkandera, Jan ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis goal is to design and realize system, which allows user to perceive 2D visual information as three-dimensional. 3D visual preception of 2D image is possible thanks to stereoprojection and projection dependecy of user location. The thesis mainly aims at secound of these problems.
