This bachelor thesis focuses on people with disabilities entering university at a specific stage of the life cycle. This particular stage of the life cycle is called emerging adulthood and includes the age range from 18 to 25. These young adults are experiencing an important milestone in their lives. In this case, this life milestone is entering university. This group of people has to deal not only with their disability but also with the pressure associated with this life stage. The main goal of this bachelor thesis was to find out the conditions of people with sensory and physical disabilities at Charles University when they are entering the university and during their subsequent studies at this university. I tried to map the stage of emerging adulthood in these people and reveal some common features. The other goal was to reveal the most common obstacles that these students may encounter on their journey to obtain a university degree. I also wanted to find out how help and support both from the state and from Charles University work for students with disabilities in this particular stage of the life cycle. Veverková, Andrea ; Sekyrková, Milada (advisor) ; Ratajová, Jana (referee)
Charles university, as the first czech university, had and still has its important place in society. Its history is as rich as history of Czech lands, which it in its way reflects. One of the turning moments was surely the Second World War, which hit hard the whole spectrum of society at that time. This thesis is looking at this period through the optics of diplomatics and it is trying to introduce topic of the day-to-day official agenda of the university and its faculties. This institution of higher education could not function without the office system in the background, since it provided administrative support for the framework of its activities. The administrative work of university officials consisted primarily of the production of records, especially official correspondence, as well as protocols of meetings or the issue of documents governing the course of the university. Its aim is primarily to find out to what extent this clerical life at the university background has survived the period after 17th of November 1939, when the schools in Bohemia and Moravia were closed by Nazi occupiers. The bachelor thesis first deals with the history of university history from the beginning to the liberation in May 1945. In the next part there is a diplomatic analysis of selected papers from the period...
University in the City Space: Charles University and University of Vienna
Kavan, Ondřej ; Kučera, Rudolf (advisor) ; Konrád, Ota (referee)
This thesis is a comparative case study that employs the disciplines and subjects of urban studies, history of universities and city planning. It presents and compares the history of the built environment of the Charles University Prague and the University of Vienna from their very beginning until present days. Main subject of the study therefore is the (spatial) city- university relationship and the position of the respective university in it. How many areas does the university use? What are these like? What are the distances between each of them and what is the distance to the attractive downtown? What are the respective historical contexts of all the development plans, which of them became reality and which not? These research questions are answered in the comparative analysis of the two universities. A second subject of the paper is the analysis of the agility of the universities who are facing some global development trends of the university strategic planning and have to deal with them both now and in the future. Do the development plans of the university support the interdisciplinary cooperation, globally competitive science or it's own position in the host city in order to support own attractiveness and efficiency? All these questions are discussed and answered.

Besides that he also studied plant regeneration, fertilization and nuclear division. In my thesis I processed scientific and popular scientific articles by Němec and used secondary sources to analyze his overall activity at the university in historical context. Thesis output is structured overview of Bohumil Němec's activities which can be used for the follow-up research.

Title: Assumption of admission of probands UK FTVS in the field of Population Protection with focus on education to the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic Objectives: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the efficiency of training of students in the field of Population Protection with focus on education (OO-TVS) with respect to physical fitness. This is achieved by comparing the scores of FTVS students to real Fire Brigade recruits in the admission tests used by the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic. Methodology: The bachelor's thesis has been divided into two parts: empirical and theoretical. The probands were selected from the third year students in the field of Population Protection. Testing of the probands has been carried out on the premises of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. The efficiency was then determined based on the comparison of success rates of recent real-life HZS ČR recruits to the OO-TVS students. Results: The success rate of the OO-TVS students is 80%, being 4% higher than the chosen limit. Total test scores of all probands are well above the required minimum. Based on the results, the training in the field of OO- TVS seems to meet very high standards. Keywords: Physical fitness tests, Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic, Faculty of Physical...
