Vlasáková, Tereza ; Průšová, Petra (advisor) ; Sládek, Jan (referee)
The thesis is conceived as an empirical probe into the life of the local residents around the north-south artery in the district of Prague 4. Thematically falls within the urban sociology and is also greatly inspired by the field of urbanism and urban planning. The goal is to obtain and bring out basic information about the quality of housing and urban life around the given section of Prague's north-south highway perceived through the eyes of the population. The first part constitutes theoretical background of the empiric survey. It specifies a relation of branch disciplines to the selected topic and outlines the theoretical concepts associated with the main aspects of this problem. The second part presents conducted empirical probe, gives a summary and comments on results of the analysis. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire survey in the locality. The processing by quantitative techniques were used for data analysis
Design of the local connecting road with the tram track of the line no.3 in the area of Zbrojovka in Brno
Paszandová, Zuzana ; Veselý, Josef (referee) ; Pavlíček, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of the tram power collecting route and the tram track of the route no. 3 in reconstruction area recently called “Zbrojovka Brno”. Connection to the present infrastructure is also considered. Housing, resting, administration sectors and tram stops are designed for easy availability in the new area. Because the railroad bounds the area on the East and will be extended in the future, joining the tram transport with integrated transport system in Židenice is possible. Design includes the new bridge across Svitava river and connection with surrounding areas. If we divide individual car transport (IAD) from the tram route, the trolley car transportation is designed in place IAD.
Kvalita ovzduší ve velkých městech: případová studie Brno a Ostrava
Bělohorcová, Eva
This bachelor's thesis is a research of air environment situation both in the cities of Brno and Ostrava. Major impact on the air quality is surely made by transportation traffic. The aim of my work is to figure out, describe and compare the differences between Brno's and Ostrava's air environments. Both these air environments are unique, therefore they need individual approach. Main focus of my work is a street traffic and its negative impact on local people's health. I would like to make stress on contaminating and harmful substances which are released to the air because of traffic. Eventually I try to evaluate particular situations and measures city's authorities take for improvement. As a result I make resume on both cities' and propose steps that can be taken to improve or change situation.
Identification of factors influencing large measure of road-kill of game.
MACHAČ, Radek
The bachelor´s thesis monitors an effect of motor traffic on selected species of game. The aim of this work was to review knowledge about protection of animals on surface communications and to survey and evaluate numbers of game killed on area of interest by motor traffic. Monitoring had been provided near České Budějovice in the southern Bohemia from August 2009 to October 2009. Killed individuals were documented by members of local hunting association, and on the basis of my own observations. The most frequently killed game species were brown hare and roe deer, from the other animal species common mole and both eastern and western hedgehog. But a lot of animals might not been found, so the results can be misinterpreted. The proposal of precaution which should improve the situation is an important part of the thesis.
Comparison of electromobility conceptions in the Czech republic, France and USA
Kovalová, Lucie ; Šauer, Petr (advisor) ; Dvořák, Antonín (referee)
A quarter of CO2 emissions in the European Union currently comes from transport, which causes a significant deterioration of air quality. Therefore, it contributes to the deterioration of the health of people living in these areas. The number of cars on the roads continues to increase globally, and with them the increase in CO2 emissions. Alternative fuel in various forms began appearing on the market. Electric cars, with their emission-free operation, are trying to find their place here. Their wider use, especially in densely populated cities, could help people to a cleaner environment. Currently, there are some technical and economic problems with a wider introduction of electric vehicles. Technology and an associated high cost of storage of the necessary power are the main challenges. Nonetheless, experts believe that electric cars have future. Each country approaches the development of electromobility in a different manner.

The importance and utilization of LPG in transport - just the title signifies what is this bachelor thesis focused on. The first part gives a chance to learn more about liquified petroleum gasses, i.e. LPG. It comprehends information about its history, compound, processing, features and also advantages and disadvantages related with this gas. The second part is concerned with the relationship "LPG and environment". You can find there answers to questions like: Why does transport have a negative influence to environment? Which substances are emitted by fuel combustion to atmosphere? Is LPG regardful of environment? The third part is an economic one. It contains the calculations of LPG purchase costs and their economic return and also the price comparison to another fuels. The main aim of this thesis is to compare LPG with petrol and diesel oil and analyze its environmental and economic efficiency.
