A NEW SPACE FOR LIFE - KROMĚŘÍŽ - LUTOPECKÁ
Vido, Samuel ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The proposal extends the city of Kroměříž into an undeveloped area. Newly proposed facilities in this area will bring various functions, from traditional housing and community living to multifunctional spaces and urban amenities such as groceries, bistros, cafés, libraries, fitness centers, or office spaces, creating an environment for active urban life. Within the block, there are parks, water areas, promenades, playgrounds, or workout areas. The proposal introduces housing to the location, such as traditional residential units, which are in constant demand, as well as a newly introduced concept of community living, financially accessible to people and families from various social or health disadvantaged groups, or for people who prefer to live in a social environment while maintaining privacy. In addition to housing, this complex brings multifunctional spaces to its surroundings, supporting small businesses in the area and providing them with an attractive space for the growth of their business, whether it be a restaurant, hair salon, or office spaces. A large number of educational institutions in the area provide an opportunity to create space for youth development, which is the focus of this proposal.
Víchov cider house and cannery
Gulárová, Aneta ; Muroň, Ivo (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a new building primarily used for production and storage and secondarily for administrative space. The building is designed in the area of Tachov in the Víchov part of the town of Černošín in the Pilsen region. Access to the land is from the south side of the main road 230 in the direction from Stříbro to Černošín and the second access is from the west side of the dirt road through the village Víchov (the road is currently unused). Both roads are connected by a newly designed road within the plot. The majority of the newly proposed road is used for the supply and removal of goods. The whole concept is designed with respect to the local conditions and referring to the character of the area and also to the investor's requirements. Due to the scale of the village, the height of the building is adapted. The structure of the building is made up of a wall bearing system, where in the part of the administration and warehouses carries a gable roof, which consists of wooden glued trusses. The roof sheathing is made of corrugated metal sheet, which also forms part of the facade. The external façade is made up of timber cladding and cladding made of folded sheet metal. A separate logo was also designed for the building as part of the study, which is located on the front façade of the office building. The proposed building SO.01 will be used as an administrative building for the employees of the cooperage and cannery, who are also part of the production but also administration and management. The building also includes dining facilities for all employees, locker rooms and offices, as well as a showroom for visitors and meeting space for any business meetings of the owner. The building also serves as a representative object of the entire proposal. In the proposed building SO.02 will be located exclusively production or waste warehouse, or warehouse of unprocessed fruit. Dry storage and product storage is not part of the project.
FCK Technology bro
Valová, Eliška ; Kratochvíl, Jan (referee) ; Štěpán, Marek (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design a residential building that will stand the test of time not only by maintaining its form and function but also by creating a landmark on the line between Otrokovice and Zlín. The main theme of the design is therefore the longevity of the building. The proposed house is located on the outskirts of Zlín - Malenovice on a plot where a sawmill currently operates. The longevity of the building is achieved in three different dimensions - technical lifespan, economic lifespan, and in terms of lifestyle, fashion, and social situation. Key elements include a conservative building form and brick facades.
Exotarium ZOO Brno
Kučera, Jiljí ; Wittmann, Maxmilian (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the design of a pavilion for the Australia - New Guinea exhibition in Brno Zoo. The building serves mainly as an exposition and home for exotic species of birds, small mammals and fish. The building should meet all the conditions of buildings for the public, working conditions for employees and animal welfare. The area under consideration is located in the premises of the Brno Zoo, in the northern part of the district of Bystrc. The construction site is located roughly in the middle of the zoo at the crossroads between the Tropical Pavilion and the African Village. The relatively sloping, irregular plot is accessible from the north and east sides by a campus road. The kangaroo enclosure is directly adjacent to the west side, while the bison and camel enclosures are located to the north, across the road. The resulting design consists of a two-storey building that follows the contour line of the site. It is a building composed of two regular masses of rectangular plan. The upper smaller mass is superimposed on the lower larger mass. The pavilion includes indoor and outdoor aviaries, terrariums, aquariums, staff facilities, animal facilities and food preparation. The facade of the Exotarium imitates the red rock typical of Australia. It is made up of an ETICS system to which a moulded polystyrene layer and a painted surface will be added. An extensive green roof with aviaries is proposed on the main building. The design includes a small plaza to provide shade for visitors. Two buildings are proposed within the square - refreshments and public toilets. The bachelor thesis is based on documents in the form of assignment, dwg drawing of the cadastral situation and architectural study from the course BGA036 - Architectural Atelier 5.
The Ideal City Trenčín: The new Train and Bus Station
Holbová, Natália ; Petruš, Lukáš (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis is based on a pre-diploma project, which focused on analysing the city of Trenčín. The analyses and the questionnaire showed what the city lacks and what the city excels in. This was followed by the selection of one specific problem. By solving my chosen problem, the city would come closer to being ideal. I focused on the train station and its surroundings. This was due to the negative responses in the questionnaire I created and in the available online analyses of the city. I also included its surroundings in the design for a better revitalisation of the place. The proposal itself is in the spirit of respect for the place and resolving the problematic state of the place. The aim is to replace the inappropriate existing buildings with new ones that will add to the functionality of the site.
Contemporary city
Zámečník, Kristián ; Joja, Milan (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
To limit urban sprawl into the surrounding countryside, densification of development and use of neglected areas is necessary. In this thesis, I seek to address this by finding an ideal balance between density, open spaces and a diversity of functions that support the further development of the current area. The result should be a city that is viable, resilient and adaptable, delivering a quality living environment for its residents and supporting sustainable growth. A city that works as a whole with its new neighbourhood but is not overrun by it.
Kohnova cihelna (Kohn's brickyard ) – a carbon-neutral city
Hynšt, Lukáš ; Sátora, Josef (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
In recent years, there has been increasing talk of carbon-free districts, cities and even continents in the context of global warming, with intensive research into the possibilities and limits of this phenomenon. Also in this context, specific urban and architectural proposals are being developed more often than before. These proposals work with carbon-free technologies and building or urban elements that can reduce production of carbon emissions and its absorption into the atmosphere. This work also deals with this. Specifically, this work locates a new (mostly residential) district on the eastern side of Červený kopec, in the area of the former Kohn's Brickworks, and through the use of various urban design approaches and building technology solutions, it seeks to move towards achieving carbon neutrality for this complex. Author does so in the knowledge that he is not able to achieve an ideal state under the current conditions, but he considers it necessary to at least come as close to it as possible. In doing so, he applies the findings of his research on the topic of carbon neutral cities.

Paths to Architecture. The Art Project for 1st Grade of Elementary School. (theoretical-project thesis)
FLEISCHMANNOVÁ, Eliška
The teoretical-project thesis aims to analyse the position of architecture in the education system for the first grade of Elementary School and to present architecture as an inspirational resource for teaching art education. The theoretical part further deals with a brief overview of the history of architecture, with its aim not being to conduct a detailed analysis of the topic, but to provide only a general insight. The practical outcome is an architectural-art project for the 4th and 5th grades, which provides students with a new perspective on architecture and simultaneously acquaints them with elements of construction through various techniques.
Comparison of Properties Currently Offered on the Real Estate Market and Their Problems
Malečková, Kateřina
The current real estate market has experienced a major boom in recent years. The prices of real estate for housing have increased by several percentage points, and own housing is thus becoming less and less attainable for the general population. What has not disappeared from the market, however, are the problems that appear in housing units. The work deals with the survey of the offered units, revealing certain shortcomings and opens the topic where friction arises between the participants.
