The idea of the dissertation study is to capture in the historical-literary form Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre's history, characters of its personalities, marionettes, events, and introduced theatre performances in the years 1939-1990, (from the outset of the prof. Josef Skupa's professional puppetry in Pilsen in the protectoral time, through Skupa's theatrical Prague engagement after 2nd World War, over the era of dramatic acting of Miloš Kirschner, Helena Štáchová, and Martin Klásek in the socialistic period, and during normalization years, up to the capitalistic regime transformation. The graduate set up a goal of creating a media reflection of the Spejbl and Hurvinek Theatre's events, which had been noticed and evaluated by the Czechoslovak and Czech mass period daily press - (by the far-right wing fascist magazines Vlajka (1939-40) and Árijský boj (1940), by the left orientated, socialistic newspapers Rudé právo(1948,52,53,55,57,58,59,67,72,75,79,80,82,83,84,85,86,87,88), Svobodné slovo(1959,66,69,77,80,82,83,84,85,87), Mladá fronta (1957,66,75,77,81,82,84,87), by the Christian- Democratic-Conservative paper Lidová demokracie(1966,71,74,77,78,79,81,82,84,85,86,87,88), the Evening Press - Večerní Praha (1969,82), and by the right-wing, capitalistic paper - Mladá fronta Dnes (1990). Results are compared to the results of national survey on sexual behaviour. KEYWORDS: Sexual behaviour, sex education, high school, biological changes, psychological changes, puberty, adolescence
Noninvasive measurement of steroid homones and effect of hormonal manipulation on behaviour in the gecko Paroedura picta
Matušková, Lucie ; Kratochvíl, Lukáš (advisor) ; Fraňková, Marcela (referee)
Hormones influence life of all animals. Not only they affect physiological changes in organisms, but also impact their behaviour. This work focuses at two main groups of steroid hormones: glucocorticoids and androgens. Glucocortiods are activated in response to stress. Their levels can be measured using non-invasive methods, which have a range of advantages. The main advantage is the feedback-free sample collection for enzyme immunoassay. As the measurement involves metabolites of the hormones rather than the hormones themselves, prior validation of the method is, however, necessary. This work reports on a study aiming to validate non-invasive measurement on the Madagascar Ground Gecko (Paroedura Picta). The validation was based on ACTH challenge test: Synacthen Depot was injected, which should lead to increased blood level of glucocorticoids. The validation, however, was not successful. The measurement did not discover significant increase in the levels of the metabolites of glucocorticoids. In addition, the work focuses on behavioural effects of testosterone, the primary androgen. Hormonal manipulations have been carried out on several male and female specimens. The results have discovered differences in sexual behaviour between control groups. On the other hand, the hormonal manipulations had no...
Locomotion and behaviour in group of pig-tail macaques (macaca nemestrina) at Prague Zoo
Vlčková, Marcela ; Vančata, Václav (advisor) ; Vančatová, Marina (referee)
This essay describes and analyzes of locomotion, sexual, afiliativní and agonistic behavior in a group of pigs macaque (macaca macaques) at Prague Zoo. Data collection took place in the period from December 2015 to May 2016. In the winter months (December to March) at the times from 9.00 to 16.00 hrs., And in April and May 2016 in time from 9.00 to 18.00 pm. The total observation period reached 240 hours. Data were analyzed using Statistics 12th and MS Excel 2007. Objectives of the work are three: (1) Based on the research literature to describe the behavioral ecology of macaque monkeys. (2) The detailed description and analysis of locomotion, sexual, afiliativní and agonistic behavior in a group of macaque pigs in the Prague Zoo. (3) Describe grooming, depending on time of day and social position in the group of pigs macaque in the Prague Zoo. We tested five hypotheses, which can be divided into four categories. We first investigated the hierarchy of the group. Furthermore, we investigated the behavior depending on the sex of the individual, and consequently the position in the hierarchy. In the last part we dealt with in detail during grooming. Tests confirmed the existence of a clear linear hierarchy based on agonistic interactions. The results showed that move around the enclosure depends on...

Bibliografický záznam ŠÍP, Michal. Vztah občanské participace a hédonistického životního způsobu u mladistvých. Praha: Karlova univerzita, Fakulta sociálních věd, Institut sociologických studií, 2015. 133 stran, Vedoucí diplomové práce Doc. PhDr. Pavol Frič, Ph.D. Anotace Diplomová práce "Vztah občanské participace a hédonistického životního způsobu u mladistvých" zkoumá, do jaké míry je oprávněné hledat příčinu nízké hodnoty občanské participace mladistvých v hédonistickém životním způsobu.
Hormonal control of male traits in leopard gecko, Eublepharis macularius
Schořálková, Tereza ; Kratochvíl, Lukáš (advisor) ; Rehák, Ivan (referee)
It is generally believed that the presence of male traits is regulated by androgens. This thesis is designed to reveal the influence of testosterone on male traits in the leopard gecko, Eublepharis macularius. The noninvasive skin application mixture of vegetable oil and testosterone was used to manipulate the hormonal status of females and castrated males. This method has proven to be an effective alternative to the widely used hormonal implants. Manipulation was successfully validated, and there was apparent progressive increase of male sexual behavior in both groups. In females, the onset lasted much longer time, but both groups were able to perform all components of males sexual behaviour. Furthermore, I found that, contrary to widespread view, male sexual behavior persisted several weeks after reduction of testosterone levels in both manipulated groups. These results bring new evidence for temporary organization of male sexual behaviour by testosterone. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Influence of birth order and sex of siblings on sexual behavior and preferences
Daňková, Hana ; Kuba, Radim (advisor) ; Krejčová, Lucie (referee)
Ontogeny of a human being is influenced by several innate and environmental factors. One of the key environmental factors is family, its structure, and the dynamics of family relationships. These can depend, among other things, on the birth order. Relatively a lot of research has been conducted to study the effect of birth order on humans, but the area of human sexuality is often neglected. Research in this area has so far yielded relatively inconsistent results and needs to be expanded further with new knowledge. That is the main goal of this diploma thesis. In our cross-sectional study, 4495 subjects from two-child families were analyzed. We performed a partial correlation analysis of birth order and selected variables related to human sexuality, considering the sex of siblings. Particular attention was paid to the first sexual experience, the number of sexual partners, sociosexual orientation (SOI-R), and dominant-submissive sexual preferences. We found that the order of birth is related to several of these variables (age of first sexual experience, number of sexual partners, sexual preferences), but the key role is played by the combination of the individual's gender and the sex of his sibling. These results should be followed up by more detailed research within specific families to verify the...
Sexuality education in Nicaragua
Gorokhova, Elena
This Diploma Thesis focuses on the sexuality education in the public schools of Nicaragua. Comprehensive sexuality education constitutes a system of medical and educational methods, which help to teach broad number of aspects of human sexuality. The materials for the study were gathered during a student internship in Nicaragua between February-March, 2018. The answers of all 200 participants were processed in Statistica. The results of the research illustrate a common attitude toward the need to implement more sexuality education content (81% of the respondents). It emphasizes the role of teachers and family members in adolescents` formation. As stated by 31% of the students, abstinence is taught foremost, and as the primary method of sexually transmitted diseases prevention. Furthermore, a relationship between gender and educational information was found; women are taught about abstinence more than men, 37% of women did not know about other methods of contraception except the abstinence. While the relationship between religiosity and sexual awareness is not relevant. The research also shows that most of the respondents (98%) are confident about their decisions on sexuality matters. and have a strong opinion on their sexual behaviour.
Homosexuality in primates
Falladová, Josefína ; Havlíček, Jan (advisor) ; Kuběnová, Barbora (referee)
Homosexual interactions were documented in more than 50 primate species, including humans. Homosexual behaviour is defined as either genital contact, genital manipulation or combination of both between same-sex individuals. The aim of this thesis is to systematically summarize the past knowledge of homosexual behavior in primates and critically analyze its possible functions. Homosexual behaviour varies in frequency, context and form in which this behaviour occurs, both between species, between males and females and during ontogenesis. I summarise not only studies looking recording homosexual behaviour in different primate species, but also regarding its form and the circumstances under which such behaviour occurs. Furthermore, in this thesis I introduce several sociosexual functions explaining homosexual behaviour, which are described most frequently: 1) dominance assertion, 2) tension regulation, 3) reconciliation, 4) alliance formation and social-bonding and 5) training for heterosexual mating. Sexual/hedonic aspects of this behaviour also form significant part of homosexual interactions. Possible functions of homosexual behaviour do not clearly point to a single explanation, homosexual behaviour could be multifunctional similarly to humans. Keywords: homosexual behaviour, homosexuality,...
