Vacková, Adéla ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Bertlová, Barbora (referee)
The bachelor's thesis addresses the topic of developing tactile perception in preschool-aged children who are visually impaired. Tactile perception is a key factor for individuals with visual impairments, especially for those who are blind, as it facilitates a more manageable and meaningful life. People with visual impairments rely on tactile perception (as well as other sensory perceptions). These individuals focus primarily on individual details, which they gradually connect to form an overall picture of a given object. The thesis includes basic theories on visual impairment, tactile perception, and typhlography. The subsequent sections focus on the development of tactile perception, stimulation, thinking, creativity, and imagination in preschool-aged children with visual impairments, as well as the importance of developing tactile perception in these children. The research was conducted using qualitative methods, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and observations. The study involved children with visual impairments and their educators from the Jaroslav Ježek Kindergarten. For comparison, interviews and observations were also conducted with children without visual impairments. The research mainly focused on the development of tactile perception in children with visual...
Higher education options for visually impaired students
Marková, Jana ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
According to Act No. 111/1998 Coll., universities are required to provide persons with various types of disabilities suitable conditions for studying at a university. This support is not specified in detail in the Act, so each school decides individually what steps to take in this area, but there is an effort to gradually harmonize methods. This thesis is focused on the support provided specifically to students with visual impairments. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the main idea is to describe what kind of support students with visual impairments need and what are its possibilities in the field of education. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to find out what kind of support is currently provided to students in the Czech Republic and how it is used and evaluated by them. The qualitative method of a structured interview was used to answer these questions. Responses show that students are provided with support commensurate with their needs and none of the respondents feel that professional centers do not provide such support sufficiently. Specifics of motor development of children with visual impairment of preschool age
BOLVÁRI, Eliška
The bachelor thesis deals with specifics of motor skills development of preschool children with visual impairment. The theoretical part describes the issues of visual impairment with a focus on the diagnoses that can occur in the children research group. Further discusses the options, how the children with a visual disability can be educated in preschool age. Subsequently, attention is focused on the specifics of development, first on cognitive domain, then on the motor domain. At the end of theoretical part is described the diagnostics of motor skills, especially MABC-2 tests, which is further used in practical part. Main goal of practical part of bachelor thesis was to create, provide and evaluate the effectivity of short intervetion programme for children with visual impairment, that also have weakened motor skills. Programme was compiled individualy, based on case study and input data from MABC-2 test for each children. Evaluation effectiveness of intervention programme was at the end verified by output results from same MABC-2 tests. Although the intervetion programme was assembled and based on individual needs, it´s possible to use it or to be inspired by it for further work with visualy impaired children. On the basis of results, when we´re designing a programme, it´s advisable to set a smaller number of development objectives and to profile more the programme to one part of motor development. At the same time it is important to focus on motivation of children and eventually adapt the programme to the child´s interests. These steps can play a big role in the effectiveness of programme.
The specifics of a family with a child with visual impairment
STOKLASOVÁ, Tereza
The topic of the bachelor thesis is focused on the specifics of a family with a child with visual impairment. The aim of the thesis is to elaborate current knowledge on the defined topic based on narrowly specified theoretical background and to elaborate a retrospective case study on the basis of this knowledge. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical and practical part. In the first part, the theoretical basis of the given issue is elaborated into 2 chapters. The first chapter deals with the definition, function and resilience of the family. It then focuses on parenting, sibling relationships and describes the process of coping of the family with a child with disabilities. Current support for families with a child with a visual impairment is also mentioned. The second chapter specifically covers visual impairment, where its classification is included and the specifics of congenital and acquired visual impairment continue to be covered. The practical part of the bachelor thesis includes qualitative research. Specifically, a retrospective family case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation and document analysis. The specifics of a family with a child with visual impairment cut across all stages and areas of life, the research investigation shows. They interfere with family and partner relationships, the overall development of the child with a visual impairment, his education, leisure activities and integration into working life. All these areas are intertwined in the emotional and psychological aspects not only of the child with a visual impairment but also of all family members.

Assistance and Information System for Blind People
Zlepšuje architekturu dříve vyvinutého projektu, navrhuje nové metody a techniky a přidává do výsledné aplikace nové funkce. Toto však platí pouze pro příslušnou část - práce nemůže a ani si neklade za cíl změnit nebo navrhnout celý systém. To už bylo provedeno jinými autory v minulosti a tato práce je na těchto předchozích výsledcích postavena.
