Perception of a disadvantaged neighbourhood by adolescents from an "excluded" locality - The case of Josefov
Hofman, Patrik ; Jeřábek, Hynek (advisor) ; Jozová, Magdalena (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore the phenomenon of social exclusion in the context of the historical military fortress Josefov, now a part of the town of Jaroměř. It is a qualitative case study exploring the symptoms of social exclusion and stigmatization in this area. For this purpose, semi-structured in-depth interviews with young residents of Josefov and representatives of Jaroměř institutions are conducted. The results of the work showed that social exclusion is reflected mainly among the Roma part of population. The condition of buildings in Josefov is related to the theory of broken windows, whose effects promote social exclusion and territorial stigmatization. It has been found that young people living in Josefov have mixed feelings towards their place of residence, experiencing mostly negative reactions from the surrounding communities. The stigma of an excluded locality prevents the full integration of Roma residents into the broader social framework and reinforces the spiral of social exclusion. The final part of the study emphasises the need to destigmatise Josefov. The findings thus suggest that addressing the problems associated with social exclusion requires a comprehensive approach that reflects the specifics of a particular area and requires changes in the perception of...
Violence against women as one of the risk factors of female homelessness
VOHLÍDALOVÁ, Petra
This thesis focuses on homeless women and violence against them as one of the risk factors. The aim is to define the motivational factors preventing homeless women from leaving a violent relationship. The thesis is divided into three main areas. The first part focuses on homelessness and the specificities of homeless women. The second part focuses on the pro-issues of violence and the third part focuses on the motivations and disentangling the very factors that lead homeless women to remain in violent relationships. The work also includes case studies in the form of interviews with the clients of the low-threshold day centre of the St. Paul's House in České Budějovice, which help us to look at some of the issues from the perspective of the clients themselves, and are thus a practical contribution to the complexity of the whole work.
Ethical principles of mentoring as social support of young people
Walters, Ester ; Červenková, Denisa (advisor) ; Zimmermannová, Marie (referee)
Youth mentoring involves matching a young person who may be experiencing social, economic, or personal challenges with a volunteer mentor who serves as a positive role model, providing guidance, support, and encouragement. The mentoring relationship usually lasts for a specific period, such as a year or more, and may involve regular meetings or activities between the mentor and mentee. The goal of youth mentoring is to assist young people in developing the skills, confidence and resilience they need to overcome obstacles, challenges and achieve their full potential. This diploma thesis explores the ethics of mentoring, specifically in the context of formal youth mentoring. The primary focus of the work is centered around ethical aspects of mentoring as a means of providing social support to young individuals who are facing social exclusion. The main objective of this thesis is to examine how mentoring can provide positive social support to young individuals during times of transition, taking into account the ethical principles of mentoring and the impact of relationships on the well-being of mentored youth. The thesis aims to explore the various ways in which mentoring can be beneficial, while also considering the potential ethical risks such as power imbalances and boundary violations.

Social urbanism focuses on the interaction of inhabitants between each other and with the spaces, and creates conditions for new workplaces. The massive broken block gets the order. The park defines a system for future development and opens up new possibilities of usage. Thanks to its low cost construction, the park can work immediately. The order created by the park allows the future objects to emerge freely and spontaneously. The design is not definitive, but it works in every phase or combination.

Kočalka, Matúš ; Matochová, Alžběta (advisor) ; Křížová, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis entitled Analysis of stigmatization against LGBTQ+ people: a reflection of reactions regarding the murder at Zámocká explores the area of stigmatization in the context of social psychology and developmental psychology. The thesis draws on authors such as Henri Tajfel, Gordon W. Allport, Erving Goffman, and Mark A. Yarhouse, all of whom discuss concepts closely related to the process of stigmatization.
