Relaxation and exercise center
Kalábková, Ladislava ; Obrtlík, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the design of an administrative building on Soukenická Street in the bustling part of Brno. Currently, the plot houses buildings with zero utilization, deteriorating structures, and a parking lot. The entire area is unattractive, has limited use, and negatively affects the aesthetics of the intersection of two important streets – Soukenická and Hybešova. The architectural design includes the creation of an attractive corner building with multifunctional use, an underground garage, and a connection to the existing Malá Amerika building, which could have a new functional purpose as a commercial and restaurant passage or art studios. The administrative building offers a ground floor with a restaurant, bistro, café, and shop. Spaces are variable, allowing owners to customize them according to their needs. Additional above-ground floors are equipped with offices, both for larger groups and individuals. The seventh floor features a green accessible roof, a café, and meeting and presentation rooms. The bachelor thesis delves into the details of the administrative building section housing the main staircase with an elevator. Simultaneously, the design incorporates the connection of Soukenická Street with Malá Amerika through a passage in the proposed structure, aiming for potential future use of the building. The work stems from the architectural design studio in the second year, focusing on public structures.
Football Recycling
Raabová, Viktorie ; Jemelka, Vojtěch (referee) ; Sedlák, Jaroslav (advisor)
In the centre of the city, near Lužánky, there is a strange brownfield that represents an interesting mix of past and present. This place has been the target of many plans and visions, but their fate has been different. Some have come to fruition, others have remained on paper, waiting for their chance. Different people have been involved in the creation of this complex space, coming and going over time, creating a distinct entity with many faces. Here you will find a luxury hotel, abandoned sports venues from the past and tennis courts still attracting sports enthusiasts. All this is complemented by a vast car park that seems to be a kind of inhospitable oasis in the middle of the city's concrete. But behind this urban kaleidoscope lies Planýrka, a special piece of nature in the heart of the city. Only the beaten paths and untrodden greenery here testify to a life that takes place beyond the reach of human hands, a life according to its own rules.
Commercial centre Miris garden
Dračka, Jakub ; Landa, Karel (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of the Miris Garden Commercial Centre within a holiday resort, which is also to include a hotel, marina and countless apartment villas, which are not part of the design. The property is located at the foot of the Velebit Mountains, near the Paklenica National Park and the village of Starigrad-Paklenica in Zadar County, Croatia. The assignment is based on an urbanistically nonsensical concept, namely the developer's intention to build a seasonal holiday resort located almost in the bosom of nature, in addition to a scale far exceeding the aforementioned village, the nearest settlement in the area. The bachelor's thesis was preceded by a studio project, which was, however, completely reworked after long deliberations and a struggle with one's own conscience, but the original intention remained – to hide the undesirable building in the local landscape under a layer of soil and to show as little of it as possible. The building is conceived as a small village, a cluster of small houses concentrated in one long street, which is, however, quite rugged and thus creates several nooks and small streets along its length. This street opens out towards the Velebit Mountains and partly towards the Adriatic Sea. While the front, and the only visible façade, is articulated, the others are hidden underneath the ground level. A longitudinal service and supply corridor runs through the building, separating the shops and restaurants from their back-of-house, warehouses and process rooms. There is an underground garage under the northeastern part of the building. The roof of the building is green, planted with fruit trees and sloping. The forecourt of the building is also planted with trees, the trees provide shade and shelter for birds and bees. The shell of the building is made of rammed concrete, the layers of which visually relate to the surrounding landscape of limestone. There is no lift in the building. The shops are designed in a minimalist way to maximise the use of outdoor space and to take account of seasonal use. Lighting and ventilation is provided by chimneys, thus transforming the original function of the chimneys according to current needs and requirements.
Commercial center Miris Garden in Croatia
Olšáková, Linda ; Vintr, Jan (referee) ; Novák, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the creation of project documentation for building permits and parts of the documentation for construction implementation based on a previously developed study within the course BGA032 Architectural Design Studio 4 in the winter semester of the 3rd year, focusing on public buildings. The project theme involves the new construction of a commercial center consisting of five independent two-story structures. The chosen site is located in Croatia, in the village of Starigrad in the Zadar County. The nearby surroundings are undeveloped, and the commercial center is part of a planned vacation resort. The architectural concept aims for the most efficient use of the existing sloping terrain. Therefore, the center is composed of five standalone buildings, partially embedded into the terrain, following its funnel-like shape. Four buildings have a simple cubic shape, while the fifth has an arched ground plan. The intention is to create shopping streets with shop windows of retail spaces and restaurants facing them. The facades, designed with imitation of exposed concrete, incorporate shading using rotating wooden elements and individual fixed wooden panels. Outdoor spaces are protected by adjustable fabric shading. The commercial center houses rentable spaces for retail and services, restaurant areas, an entrance hall with a reception, and private administrative spaces including necessary facilities.

Modern Optimization Methods for Interpolation of Missing Sections in Audio Signals

WINE HOUSE NIKOLSBURG MIKULOV
Valová, Markéta ; Velehradská, Dagmar (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis was to design a winery house in the open landscape in a traditional wine landscape of Mikulov. The designed building serves as a four stars hotel with apartment rooms, restaurant, wellness, wine shop and a small wine farm with a storage of wine. There are unique views to the Mikulov city, Turold hill and surounding vineyards. The longitudinal axe is oriented on northeast–southwest. Majority of rooms, terraces and both atriums are directed on prospective axes. The object has one basement and three groundfloors. It is (situated) into the sloping terrain and constrasts with the wavy landscape of Mikulov for its racional and linear conception. It is inspired by terracced formations in near suroundings and uses it for its mass as well. It creates a new landscape dominant that remainds the geological formation of limestone situated in the surroundings of the Mikulov city. The regular rhytm of windows on facade refers to the Mikulov´s renaissance. The regular placement of window openings, and their rhythm are inspirated by Mikulov renaissance. Smaller holes, glass surfaces, light color of facade, green roof and shielding elements prevent from overheating the object during the summer. The water element in the courtyard offers pleasant refreshment for the visitors.
