Quality of Life of People with Idiopathic Scoliosis after Surgical Treatment in the Czech Republic

Title: Quality of Life of People with Idiopathic Scoliosis after Surgical Treatment in the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of the research part of the thesis was to evaluate the quality of life of individuals after surgery for idiopathic scoliosis in the Czech Republic on the basis of a questionnaire survey. Within the framework of the research, individuals with IS who had undergone surgical treatment of IS were contacted, but at the same time individuals with IS who had not undergone scoliosis surgery were contacted. Methods: The study population included individuals diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis in the age range of 18-60 years. Another criterion for inclusion in the study was a minimum of two years after IS surgery. Two questionnaires were used to assess quality of life in these two groups of scoliotic patients with treatment different undergone: the Short Form 36 and the Scoliosis Research Society 22, which were distributed to individuals with IS for approximately eight months. Analysis of the obtained data and statistical evaluation of the results was performed using MS Excel software. Title: A case report of physiotherapeutic care of a polytrauma patient Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop a case report of a patient after polytrauma during continuous professional practice in ON Kladno, to summarize the theoretical knowledge in relation to the patient's diagnosis and the use of specific physiotherapeutic procedures. Methods: The thesis is divided into theoretical part and case study. The general part contains theoretical knowledge about polytrauma, anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint obtained by the method of research. Furthermore, the types of fractures and their classification, bone healing, osteosynthesis and the procedure of subsequent rehabilitation of the patient after osteosynthesis are described. A special section is devoted to the complete case report of the patient, including the initial kinesiological analysis, the daily record of therapeutic units and the output kinesiological analysis. Objectives: The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis was to find and elaborate theoretical information related to the above diagnosis including anatomy, fracture diagnosis, traumatology and treatment methods. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to elaborate a case report of a patient with the above diagnosis including the design of therapy and to put the design of therapy into practice and then to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy in this particular patient. A Case Study of a Physiotherapeutic Treatment for a Patient with a Diagnosis after Total Hip Replacement

v Abstract Author: Alexandra Supervisor: Mgr. Ilona Title: A case study of a physiotherapeutic treatment for a pacient with a diagnosis after total hip replacement Objectives: Summarization of theoretical and practical knowledge about total hip replacement and to process the case study with this diagnosis. Methods: This thesis consists of two main parts - a theoretical part and special part. The theoretical part includes information of osteoarthrosis with total hip replacement. It describes the structure of the hip joint, defines osteoarthrosis and its risks, indications for the total endoprothesis, different types of hip implants, surgical approaches and pre- and post- rehabilitation processes. The special part contains the case study of pacient after implantation of the total hip endoprothesis. It presents the evaluation of the therapy which started on the fifth day after implantation and ended on the fourteenth day. Results: The short term goals which were specified at beginning of therapy were accomplished. We managed to increase the range of motion at the operated leg, increase muscle strength on weaker muscles, stretched shortened muscles and decreased muscle tone on hypertrofic muscles. Ilona Kučerová Title: Case study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize basic knowledge about Guillain- Barré syndrome with the focus on physiotherapical care in the theoretical part and a subsequent case study of a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome. Methodes: The bachelor's thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains the characteristics, classification, causes and diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome. Furthermore, treatment options including physiotherapeutic approaches for the disease are elaborated here. The practical part contains a case study of physiotherapy care for a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome. The case report consists of an initial and final examination, a description of the therapeutic sessions and an evaluation of the therapy effect. Results: After completing the therapy, the patient's stability and walking stereotype improved. The patient no longer needs a compensatory aid to walk. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to gain knowledge about the diagnosis of TEP of the knee joint and the most common indication for this procedure. Irena Novotná Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide a detailed case study of a patient diagnosed with a condition following acetabular fracture, along with its theoretical background. Methods: The bachelor thesis was elaborated during the completion of continuous professional practice at the Rehabilitation Hospital in Beroun from 8. 1. 2024 2. 2. 2024. The thesis consists of a general and a specific part. The general part focuses on theoretical knowledge regarding the diagnosis of acetabular fracture and the possibilities of its treatment from both orthopedic and physiotherapeutic perspectives. The specific part includes the patient's medical history, initial kinesiological examination on the basis which a short-term and long-term therapeutic plan were made, followed by individual therapeutic units, an exit kinesiological examination and an evaluation of the therapy's effectiveness. Author: Adriana Ondrášková Supervisor: PhDr. Ivana Vláčilová, Ph.D. Title: A case report of physiotherapy care of a patient diagnosed with congestive heart failure and implantation of HeartMate 3 LVAD Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to theoretically process the information related to the diagnosis of heart failure and implantation of HeartMate III and to record the course of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: The case report of physiotherapeutic care of the selected patient was prepared during the concurrent professional practice at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague. The theoretical part is devoted to information and knowledge about the diagnosis of heart failure and implantation of HeartMate III. To write the special section, a anamnesis was first taken and an initial kinesiology examination was performed. Based on the examination, a short-term and long-term therapeutic plan was written. A total of 10 therapeutic units were performed with the patient. After comparing the initial and final examinations, the effect of therapy was evaluated. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate a detailed case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient diagnosed with osteosynthesis of tibial plateau fracture and to analyse theoretical knowledge from the literature concerning this diagnosis. Methods: This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and describes the anatomical and kinesiological context of the knee joint, and discusses the knowledge from the field of traumatology and rehabilitation of the specific diagnosis. Michaela Stupková Title: Case study of physiotherapy care for a patient after total knee arthroplasty Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to elaborate theoretical knowledge regarding total knee joint endoprosthesis and discuss its treatment from the prespective of physiotherapy. At the same time, elaborate the course of physiotherapy care for the patient with this diagnosis. Methods: The thesis was divided into a theoretical and a special part. The theoretical part is devoted to information and knowledge about the diagnosis of total knee arthroplasty. In a special part, a case report of physiotherapy care of a selected patient from concurrent professional practice at the Nemocnice Vršovice in Prague was recorded. In a special part, the initial kinesiology examination, the course of 9 therapeutic units with the patient, the final kinesiology examination and finally the effect of the therapy is evaluated. Results: The patient's physiotherapy care was without complications. During 9 therapies, the patient's condition improved. More detailed results of the therapy are written in the chapter entitled evaluation of the effect of the therapy.
