Family Trees Making from Archive Records
Haltmar, Adam ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is about optimalization and increasing precision of already existing program for processing, comparing and linking archive records about people in a way to store them in a graph database while constructing family pedigrees as a side effect. It shows where the algorithm was approached badly and makes better alternatives for lowering the computation time. It also presents new methods for increasing the precision of record linking like name standardization and compares tests with the original program. Result of these changes is accelerating the program by more than 5000 %.

Tato Prace se soustředí na optimalizaci knihovny Mata, která je součastným leaderem na poli vykonu v oblasti operací nad automaty. Výrazdné zlepšení výkonu je dosáhnuto pomocí modifikovaného lineárního alokátoru, využitím append-only vlastnosti reprezentace automatu umozňue bleskově rychlé konstrukce a bleskově rychlým pristupúm do paměti díky prostorove lokalitě. Nálezem této práce není pouze rychlejší už ta nejrychlejší knihovna Mata ale take použitelnost lineárních alokátorů jako normálně používaná praxe při append-only strukturách, speciálně v výkonově kritických případech.
Digital twin of production system using discrete simulation and MES
Odehnal, Jiří ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the concept of a digital twin. It analyzes the current state of digital twins, finds out how MES systems and discrete simulations can be used to create digital twins. The practical part of the work is focused on the optimization of the production operation of the ANDOT automated line using the simulation program SIM_4_PLAN.
LIBS detection of trace elements in polymeric matrice
Kočenda, Dominik ; Kopřivová, Hana (referee) ; Krčma, František (advisor)
When recycling plastic materials, it is important to determine whether they contain concentrations of hazardous impurities, such as heavy metals, above permissible limits. This bachelor's thesis focuses on quantifying cadmium in a polymer matrix using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). Samples of polypropylene and polystyrene with unknown cadmium concentrations were examined. Calibration samples for both types of polymers were prepared for quantification and then analyzed using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) in an external laboratory. These results were used as calibration values for the LIBS method and also to verify the accuracy of the obtained results. Calibration curves for cadmium were created from the calibration samples, which enabled the determination of unknown cadmium concentrations in the polypropylene and polystyrene samples and the determination of the detection limit of cadmium using the LIBS method. Cadmium in the unknown samples was quantified with an average accuracy of 90 % and precision of 85 %.
Superpixel-based image segmentation to improve Intra-frame prediction
Soukeník, Ondřej ; Fliegel, Karel (referee) ; Polák, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis gives an overview of the technologies used for compression image data, video quality measurement methods and image segmentation methods. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter gives a brief overview of of the technologies and architectural elements used in image and video compression. The second chapter provides a brief overview of objective video and image quality metrics. The third chapter gives an overview of image segmentation methods and at the end of this chapter a new optimized implementation of SLIC is described. The fourth chapter aims to describe the modification of the rav1e encoder of the AV1 standard. The fifth chapter contains an experimental section where the encoder modification is verified and results are analyzed and presented in a summarized form.
Design of metasurfaces for advanced optical elements
Březina, Tomáš ; Kvapil, Michal (referee) ; Hrtoň, Martin (advisor)
Metasurfaces represent an intriguing class of materials with a wide range of promising applications, one of them being advanced planar optical elements for industrial production and imaging. The main goal of this thesis is to design such an optical element, namely a beam-shaper consisting of dielectric anostructures in HCTA (high constrast transmitarray) arrangement. The first part of this work introduces a simplified theoretical model of the optical response of building blocks that facilitates understanding of the basic functional mechanism behind the phase metasurfaces. To quantify the optical response of dielectric building blocks with enough precision, numerical FDTD simulations were employed. As a result, a database compatible with lithographic fabrication procedures was created. To find the phase distribution ensuring the desired beam-shaping function, two approaches were investigated and implemented: the semi-analytical method of geometric transformation and the iterative Gerchberg-Saxton algorithm. The final output of this work is then the distribution of building blocks within the metasurface that imprints into the impinging beam the previously calculated phase profile.
Image registration using optimization with automatic differentiation
Slavíček, David ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Vičar, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with image registration using optimization with automatic differentiation. In the teoretical part were decribed steps of image registration and possibilities of their realization. The practical part consists of design of algorithm for registration of afinely transformed images and implementation of it. Two modifications of the algorith were proposed. Database of xray images was designed. The algorithm was tested on this database.
Design of material handling between the planned interimwarehouse and welding shops using dynamic simulation
Vícha, Ondřej ; Urbánek, Michal (referee) ; Hloska, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis deals with optimizing material and information flow between the production plants and warehouses during the reconstruction of the manufacturing plant of Schäfer in Hranice na Moravě. At first, a theoretical introduction to the issues of inter-company transport services is presented. This introduction is followed by an analysis of the current state of material and information flow at the manufacturing plant. The practical part of the thesis consists of a simulation model made in the Tecnomatix plant simulation program. This simulation model includes the plant's current and future states and a layout of future material flow between the welding shops and warehouses. It also contains a conceptual design of the material flow. The optimization is conducted using a matrix of experiments, which are subsequently evaluated. In the end, the most optimal solution for material and information flow is developed and suggested.
Stuff Placing Optimization for Transport
Vacek, Michal ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis treats of application of stuff placing optimization for transport. Application is developed in cooperation with Škoda Auto a.s., which solves the problem of transport materials in containers from their factories to assembly halls abroad. It describes an application analysis, a plan and an implementation. Application consist of two parts. The first computes the optimalization - it selects subset from set of moduls (boxes) and it locates this boxes to a container. The second part of application display the stuff placing. The part of this bachelor thesis is also set of agnated optimalization methods, mainly Knapsack and Bin-packing problem.
Optimization of network flows
Rychtář, Adam ; Hrabec, Dušan (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the assigment of waste flows to specific producer for each edge andaplication on real model which maps the Czech Republic and the model is applied to real data of the Czech Republic. The goal is to determine variance of the expenses for each producer subject to changes in waste processing requirements. Then, the solution impacts and bottlenecks are analysed. The suitable optmization models is formulated and computations are realizaed in GAMS.
