The transition from homeschooling to a school and its impact on a child's wellbeing
Mojžíšová, Markéta ; Frombergerová, Anna (advisor) ; Vítková Rulíková, Klára (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the transition from home-schooling to school. It also focuses on how the transition affects the student's well-being. The aim of the qualitative research was to describe how former home-schoolers experience the transition, what changes are associated with the transition and whether there is something that could facilitate the transition and adaptation to school. Semi-structured interviews were chosen as a method of data collection. Six interviews with former home-schoolers were carried out. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. The aim of the analysis was to identify the main themes that emerged in connection with the transition to school. The results of the research indicate that the transition from home-schooling to school is a challenging event that is accompanied by a large number of changes. The biggest changes involve the student finding himself/herself in a group and in a new environment that has different rules than those to which he/she was used to. Everyone reacts differently to the changes and the respondents varied in terms of whether the changes and the transition were stressful and difficult for them, or whether they adapted to school quickly and without major complications. The results of the work also present options for supporting students who...
Educational board game about Terrain vague
Balcaříková, Ivana ; Strouhal, Jonáš (referee) ; Skála, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with the mediation of feelings, moods, functions, and movements of varied actors in the environment of terrain vague — wastegrounds. I am trying to hand over this experience with the help of a tabletop game (TTRPG), in which the player has the opportunity to wander around different types of landscapes such as abandoned playgrounds, old factories, allotments, or unfunctional kid´s camps. This is a working prototype of a board game, which is at this moment concerned mainly with the character of a child. Terrain vague presents the dark side of cities, different from the common social structures, without the supervision of authority and full of new potential for change and in our case mainly for the game. The nature of this character sets itself a task to thematize terrain vague as a place created for adventure, the game as well as a key element in creating the autonomy and independence for children.

BAYEROVÁ, Natálie
The bachelor's thesis contains a research investigation, based on the idea of why parents choose alternative education for their child. The answers to this question are obtained through a questionnaire, which is also the main element of the bachelor's thesis. The alternative ways of education in the Czech Republic are described in detail here. Furthermore, the thesis aims to guide and help parents who think about alternative education and are about to choose a kindergarten for their child. The research investigation of a quantitative nature is depicted in the practical part using the already mentioned questionnaire which is subsequently described and evaluated using a graph.
Transition from alternative kindergarten to elementary school
NÍDLOVÁ, Pavlína
bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part is focused on alternative education available in the Czech Republic. It explains the basic principles of alternative pedagogical concepts and also clarifies the concept of contemporary traditional education in the Czech Republic. The practical part presents the results of a research investigation conducted in the form of interviews. Their aim was to describe the experiences of children with the transition from an alternative kindergarten to a traditional primary school, and to get an idea of the problems, or on the contrary, the advantages of adapting to a different type of school.
School on The Joy, Zdar nad Sázavou
Morávek, Jakub ; Mačuda, Michal (referee) ; Vítek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis refers to the official assignment of the management of the school Na Radosti in Žďár nad Sázavou. It is a democratic school where the teaching system is based on freedom of decision and non-archiving of individuals in the community. This school is now located in various locations in the city and needs a new quality space that meets current requirements and standards. The school with a capacity of about 100 pupils should create a pleasant space for teaching and support concentration. The demarcated plot of land directly encourages the direct connection of the school with nature, which is also required by the given system of teaching, as the teaching is also distributed to the outdoor areas.

Kučera, Petr ; Mačuda, Michal (referee) ; Vítek, Jiří (advisor)
The final bachelor's thesis responds to the request of the management of the Na Radosti school in Žďár nad Sázavou to design a new building for a democratic school. Due to the unsatisfactory current situation, where the school is located in several places in the town, it needs a new suitable space corresponding to their specific requirements and needs. A democratic school is a system of teaching based on the free choice of the individual. The new school, with a capacity of approximately 100 pupils, is to create a suitable space for learning, play and sport. Thanks to the designated land, it will also offer a connection to the landscape and create a creative and learning environment within it.

Alternative class in a public school
Janďourková, Zuzana ; Straková, Jana (advisor) ; Dvořák, Dominik (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to examine the founding principles and function of two alternative classes in two public schools in small towns. These conditions are analysed in context of differentiation of primary school and potential impact of alternative classes in public schools on equal chances. The first chapter will briefly describe common features of alternative schools, and I will list the characteristics of some alternative movements in the Czech Republic. I will then focus in more detail on the 'Step by Step' programme, which is used in one of the schools I examine, and its bases. The second school in my study follows a programme stemming from this, which is also influenced by 'Natural schools' and other alternative methods. The next chapter of this thesis will look at the differences and unequal access to education. The empirical section of this thesis presents two case studies of alternative classes in public schools. For the purposes of this study, a qualitative method has been applied. I try to find out the reasons for establishment of these classes and refusal of the classic education by observing the classes during teaching, and through interviews with all participants. I focus on the admission process of pupils to these classes and whether the conditions of the studies in these classes...
