Cooperation with the family in the education of children at an early age

The dissertation is devoted to the reality of enrolling early children in kindergarten in the Czech Republic. The topic was examined from the perspective of key actors, ie parents and teachers, through research questions: What is the availability of early childhood education in the Czech Republic? What are the reasons for families to place early children in the kindergarten? What are the benefits of an early child attending kindergarten from the point of view of individual actors? What are the ways of communication and cooperation with the family from the point of view of individual actors? A questionnaire survey was used for data collection, in which took part 1 030 parents and 1 118 teachers from all over the Czech Republic. For a deeper understanding, the survey was supplemented by focus groups of parents and teachers. The obtained data were analyzed using open coding, constant comparison and simple descriptive statistics. The availability of education for early children is a burning issue in the Czech Republic. The issue of accessibility affects the view of its quality, at the same time it intersects into a wide range of identified reasons of families. Initial Education Of Early Years Teachers And The Profession's Needs

The thesis deals with undergraduate training of kindergarten teachers. The aim is to compare the issue of preparation for the profession of kindergarten teacher from different perspectives in historical and international comparisons and reflect and analyze the needs of the profession towards initial training kindergarten teachers on the basis of theoretical concepts and statements from practice. The reaserch aims to analyze the curriculum of initial training kindergarten teachers at selected faculties of education in the Czech Republic, analyze and reflect on meeting the needs of the profession in these faculties and learn how to evaluate their students' level of development of their professional competence at the beginning of undergraduate training and at the end. Research design is a multi-case study. Working with reaserch respondents has a longitudinal character. Methods were used quantitative and qualitative methodology - questionnaire, rating scales, content analysis of documents, interview and focus group. Educational Development as the Course of Study of Kindergartner's Self-evaluation.

Evaluation of the educational development is only one part of the self-evaluating process in kindergartens. It is very significant part mapping complicated system of the institutional education of pre-primary aged children. Concerning the personal development this age is the most important period which the basis of skills, life and word opinions and self-view is formed. It brings or self-confidence or some self-doupts and decrease the potential to reach successes in life. Substantial factor affecting child's self-recognition and helping to orient him/her self in amount of unfamiliar is besides of the family the kindergartens teacher. The partial chapters deal with the progress of education in kindergartens, defines the conceptions concerning with these processes and indicate the connections with curriculum changes.
