Novotná, Michaela ; Malý, Josef (advisor) ; Kolmanová, Eliška (referee)
Analysis of drug administration by nurses in health care facility IX Author: Michaela Novotná Tutor: doc. PharmDr. Josef Malý, Ph.D. Consultant: Mgr. Ondřej Tesař Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralové, Charles University Introduction and objective: In drug administration, the safety or efficacy of pharmacotherapy can be affected by medication errors that can occur at any time in the drug handling process and are due to human factor errors. The aim of the practical part of thesis was to identify and analyze the administration of drugs by nurses to patients in a healthcare facility. Methodology: In both the 1st (pilot) phase and the 2nd phase of data collection, the direct observation method was used. An observer (the study investigator) monitored morning, midday and evening oral drug administration during 30 working days in December 2023 and in January 2024 in four wards of one hospital. The following parameters associated with drug administration were observed and recorded: patient information, patient identification, hygiene rules, drugs prescribed and administered, triple checking of the originality of drug, generic substitution, time interval between drug administration and meal, control of the use of the drug, beverage with which drug was washed down,...
Semi-automatic classification of suspicious URLs and their detection in network traffic
Novotná, Michaela ; Poliakov, Daniel (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a system for detecting and analyzing potentially malicious URL addresses in network traffic. The system includes the process of obtaining suspicious URL addresses from honeypots, automatic analysis of URLs, which also includes the classification process. Furthermore, the system focuses on manual classification through a web interface, which is also designed to browse data obtained during automatic analysis. Another part of the system consists of detection and reporting modules for the NEMEA system, which ensure the detection of malicious addresses in network traffic. The system focuses on obtaining information about malicious URLs and sharing it with the public through the MISP and URLhaus platforms. After successful testing, the systém was deployed in the CESNET network environment and handed over to the organization’s security department.
Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after osteosynthesis of the radius head and proximal ulna

Author: Michaela Novotná Supervisor: Mgr. Svatava Neuwirthová Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after osteosynthesis of the radius head and proximal ulna Objective: The main aim of my bachelor's thesis was to conduct and then document a case study of a patient after osteosynthesis of the radius head and proximal ulna. Then I compared this practical part with the findings from the theoretical section of the thesis. Methods: All procedures applied in this work are based on the knowledge acquired during the bachelor's degree program in physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Results: Physiotherapeutic care resulted in an improvement in the patient's health condition. Keywords: physiotherapy, ulna, radius, fracture, osteosynthesis
Photocatalytic Activity of Titanium Dioxide Printed Layers
Novotná, Michaela ; Jančovičová, Viera (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis was focused on the preparation of self-cleaning and photocatalyticaly active titanium dioxide thin films. Transparent and porous thin layers of titanium dioxide were prepared from sol-gel containing titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) as precursor with addition polyethylene glycol (PEG). Transparent thin layers of titanium dioxide were also prepared from colloidal solution titanium dioxide. The immobilization of thin titanium dioxide layers was performed by a sol-gel process on the soda lime glasses. Diffusion of sodium cation from soda lime glasses into titanium dioxide layer were blocked. Sol was deposited by printig method – micropiezo deposition. Sol and thin titanium dioxide layers were characterised by the physical-chemical method. For prepared sol viscosity, density and surface tension were measured. Thickness and hydrophilicity of titanium dioxide layers also were studied. The photocatalytic activity of the printed titanium layers were tested via the photocatalytic degradation of the 2,6-dichlorindophenol. The influence of addition PEG into the sol and influence of sol loading was studied. It was found that the addition of PEG into the sol significantly increased the photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide layers.
Stanovení biogenních aminů ve víně
Novotná, Michaela
This thesis focuses on the determination of the amount of individual biogenic amines in eight samples of wines coming from four European countries – Czech Republic, Spain, Austria a Hungary. There was chosen one white and one red wine variety from each country. All of wine samples was dry – content less than 9 g sugar per liter. Varieties were: Grüner veltliner (one sample from Austria and second sample from Hungary), Chardonnay (one sample from Czech Republic and second sample from Spain), Zweigeltrebe (from Austria), Cabernet Moravia (from Czech Republic), Blauer Portugieser (from Hungary) and Tempranillo barrique (from Spain). The amount of biogenic amines was determined by ion-exchange liquid chromatography with UV/VIS detection. The bigges amount of biogenic amines was detectected in Zweigeltrebe. The lowest in Chardonnay (Czech Republic). Putrescine was detected in all samples, by contrast histamin was mostly under the detection limit.

Institution: Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové Department of Non-Medical Studies Title: Communication with elderly people with dementia in nursing care Supervisor: doc. PhDr. Jana Kutnohorská, CSc. Number of pages: 107 Number of appendices: 15 Year of defense: 2023 Keywords: Communication, elderly, dementia, ethics, dignity, nursing staff, nursing care, burnout syndrome Bachelor thesis focuses on the communication of nursing staff with elderly people with dementia in nursing care. It deals with communication with respect to human dignity, and also looks at the prevention of burnout syndrome. The basis of the bachelor's thesis is a quantitative research on the way of communication of nursing staff with elderly people with dementia syndrome and methods of staff's respite from work. The personnel studied are direct nursing care workers in hospitals and homes for the elderly in a total of 11 facilities (4 hospitals and 7 homes for the elderly) in the Hradec Králové region.
Hoof disease in dairy cows
NOVOTNÁ, Michaela
The bachelor's thesis is focused on a globally problematic topic, which is hoof disease in dairy cows. The theoretical part discusses the anatomy and physiology of the thoracic and pelvic limbs, as well as the influences that affect the structure and diseases of the hoof. Infectious and non-infectious hoof diseases and prevention are also written in this chapter. In the practical part, the number of sick dairy cows and types of hoof diseases were monitored in the company AGRA Březnice a.s. 804 cows were monitoredover a period of three years, from January 2018 to December 2020. During this observation, it was found that dermatitis and ulcer diseases of the hoofs are the most common in breeding. Hoof disease affects around 50 % of dairy cows in all lactations. In sick cows, milk yield is reduced.

Assisted reproduction - legal and ethical aspects Abstract This master's thesis discusses legal and ethical aspects of assisted reproduction. The aim of this thesis is to describe current legislation governing assisted reproduction, evaluate whether such legislation is able to meet the needs of modern society and also to discuss possible amendments thereof necessary for establishing a reasonable and effective legal system.
