Double monasteries of Poor Clares and Friars Minor in the area of Central Europe in 13th century. Typology of architecture, foundation of royal princesses and contemporary context on the examples of monasteries, especially in Prague and Wroclaw. The topic of my bachelor thesis is a comparison of the typology of architecture of double monasteries of Poor Clares and Friars minor. The specifics of the Convent of the Sisters of the Poor Clares had to adapt to the strict order and liturgical regulations of the order, which was reflected in building architecture according to a certain pattern, manifested in the form of monastic churches including emporium, cloister and common areas, separated from contact with the outside world. However, this did not prevent the increasing of the education of the sisters and the maintenance of ties between the individual monasteries. Friars minor provided spiritual guidance for the sisters. Franciscans originated in the 13th century as an order that responds to the development of medieval cities and the wide social layers of inhabitants, which is reflected in the location of monasteries near rivers and walls (hospital function, water availability). In the Central European region, in response to the new ecclesiastical order, the then desire to return to following the...

The thesis "Pastoral aspects of the baptism in the current discussion in the German speaking countries" analyzes critically the theological discussion since the seventies. The baptism is deprived of its closely sacramental and christological determination and is treated as an occasional service. Biographical and ritual concepts of the occasional services attribute to these acts a special theological significance that cannot be derived from Christ's commission to preach the gospel, but rather is rooted in a piety, which targets the life cycle of individuals and families. Occasional services are therefore seen as a pastoral accompaniment of man in his fault (and critical) stage of life. Its aim is to convey his emotional and cognitive stabilization and assist in re-establishing his fluctuating identity. The practice of the baptism, in this perspective, must regard ambivalent experiences of parents and provide them an appropriate religious intervention. Traditional theological contents of the baptism are markedly eliminated with regard to the situation of the distant Christians who became estranged from the reflected Christianity. Keywords Baptism, Pastoral Care, Occasional Services, Ritual, Folk Church

Kornélia Kolářová Takácsová: The North Portal of the Church of St. Procopius in Třebíč in a Central European Context with Special Reference to Churches in Hungary Abstract The present dissertation places the northern portal of the Basilica of St. Procopius in Třebíč in a broader Central European context with a special focus on Hungarian buildings. After an introduction to the history of the Trebic abbey and church, a description of the portal and its iconographic analysis is followed by an analysis of important portals from Germany, Austria and Hungary that are mentioned in relation to the Třebíč portal and are associated with Norman ornament, including an attempt to classify them chronologically. The thesis includes a critical discussion of various theories of Norman decoration wandering in Central Europe. Special attention is paid to the question of the fundator of the Třebíč basilica, which refers both to the ruling Přemyslid family and to the remarkable figure of the bishop of Olomouc, Robert. In all the countries of Central Eastern Europe, in addition to the foreign builders who separated in groups from the large Western smelters, local stonemasons were involved and contributed their work to the final forms of specific buildings. The obvious similarities between the buildings and the dynastic links...

The Convent of Dominicans on the Hare Island in Budapest. The topic of the master thesis is the architectural analysis of the Nunnery of Dominicans on the Hare Island in Budapest, which was established with Bela the IV. to his daughter Margaret - later Saint Margeret of Hungary. The Nunnery was originated around the middle of the 13th century (the most probably between 1246-1252). And is presented as an example of the archtitecture of Nunnery of the Orders of Dominicans in Europe. This master thesis presents the history of this Nunnery and also the origin of the guild of the nunnery. The guild was working all around Buda for the king of Hungary - Béla IV. Some of the Hungarian Art Historians think, that the guild originally came to Hungary after they finished their works on the Nunnery of the Cistercianer Order in Porta Coeli in Tišnov near Brno. The person of Saint Margaret of Hungary and her Cult in Hungary and Europe is also discussed in this master thesis.
