Deep reinforcement learning and snake-like robot locomotion design
Kočí, Jakub ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
This master thesis is discussing application of reinforcement learning in deep learning tasks. In theoretical part, basics about artificial neural networks and reinforcement learning. The thesis describes theoretical model of reinforcement learning process - Markov processes. Some interesting techniques are shown on conventional reinforcement learning algorithms. Some of widely used deep reinforcement learning algorithms are described here as well. Practical part consist of implementing model of robot and it's environment and of the deep reinforcement learning system itself.
Optimization of PID controller using evolutionary computing techniques
Kočí, Jakub ; Matoušek, Radomil (referee) ; Lang, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with using evolutionary computation for tuning up PID controller. In research part there are summarised information about regulation and another background information about quality of regulation and ITAE criterion. Practical part consist of implementing three evolutionary computation algorithms - differential evolution, evolution strategy and genetic algorithm. These and MATLAB's function ga() are compared on two systems mutually and to Ziegler-Nichols rule. Basic comparsion is followed by statistical evaluation on second system.
Comparison of the relationship of the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party and the Czechoslovak Social Democratic Party to the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in the postwar years 1945-1948
Kočí, Jakub ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Vykoukal, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor work compares the relationship of the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party and the Czechoslovak Social Democratic Party to the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in the term of the third Czechoslovak Republic, that implies in the postwar years 1945-1948. The aim of this text is to interpret the examined relationships in the context of selected internal political event, in which proved the similarities and differences among these three socialist parties. First, the text sketches the postwar restoration of the activity of political parties, the approval of the Košice government programme and the creation of the National Front. Then follows a passage devoted to the Czechoslovakian parliamentary elections to the Constituent National Assembly in 1946 and an analysis of the debates on the nationalization and the land reform. Another part of this text deals with the disputes about the millionaire's taxes, that caused not only the internal political conflicts, but it escalated even more the contradictions within social democracy, which subsequently changed the party chairman on the Brno congress. The last part of the text concerns the events of February 1948, which became fully apparent the dissension of the National Front, where then took place opinion collisions especially between the...
Sexual coercion (section 186 of the Penal Code) and other offences against human dignity in sexual sphere
Kočí, Jakub ; Hořák, Jaromír (advisor) ; Krupička, Jiří (referee)
Sexual coercion (section 186 of the Penal Code) and other offences against human dignity in sexual sphere My diploma thesis analyzes of the sexual coercion and it also applies to comparison of the sexual coercion with the other offences against human dignity in sexual sphere, mainly with the rape and the sexual abuse. The sexual coercion is newly (since 2009) included in the Czech Penal Code, namely in the section 186 of this Penal Code. There we find seven subsection (paragraphs) of its editing. The main aim of this text is interpret individual legal signs of the elements of the sexual coercion, particularly the object, the physical elements (actus reus), the offender (the subject) and the mental elements (mens rea). I try to put this aim into context. In the beginning, I sketch of the historical evolution of the legislation of the sexual offences. After that, I deal with the criminological excursion about sexual crime (crime against human dignity). Then this text continues with the concise essay on the present legislation of the sexual offences and their classification. After that, the major part of this thesis describes some terms that are related to the sexual coercion. In this part, I try to compare Czech legislation of the sexual offences with German, Austrian and Swiss legislation, because...
Effect of urban gradient on composition of bat communities in Central European landscapes.
Kočí, Jakub ; Lučan, Radek (advisor) ; Andreas, Michal (referee)
Bats (Chiroptera) are usually considered as a group greatly endangered by destructing their habitats through the human activity. However, a significant part of bat species at the central Europe use human buildings as shelters, moreover the natural shelters are marginal or unknown in several species. Considering the linkage of the great part of our bat species to the fragmented area and in connection with a long term human influence on the central european landscape we ask whether at least part of our species see human activity through providing proper shelters as positive. Based on the analysis of landscape structure and ruggedness effect on density, diversity and population structure of bat assamblages acquired by standardized mist net captures located in lowlands (elevations below 500 m) of Czech Republic (204 localities, 3585 bats, 22 bat species), we found that even though most of reactions were species specific and few species seemed to be positively associated with urban environments, most of the bat species rely on the broad-leaved forest cover and other natural habitats such as water bodies. The most significant factor influencing sexual segregation for bats was ruggedness of surrounding landscape. Keywords: Bats, Chiroptera, fragmentation, Europe, temperate zone

Effect of habitat fragmentation on bat ecology
Kočí, Jakub ; Lučan, Radek (advisor) ; Hořák, David (referee)
Habitat fragmentation poses one of main threats to biodiversity. Bats (Chiroptera) serve as an important group of bioindicators. Habitat disturbance can induce different answers among them, especially in a tropical forest where bats provide important ecosystem functions such as seed dispersal and plant pollination. Difference between their reactions can be seen between different biomes: Negative influence to the species richness can be expected in a tropical forest with high degree of endemism whereas in temperate zone with long-term human influence to the landscape composition bats might have partially adapted to patchiness of the landscape and fragmentation could have locally positive effect. This thesis aims to summarize current knowledge of how fragmentation influences bat ecology with special aim for the difference between various biomes. Key words: Bats, Chiroptera, fragmentation, neotropics, paleotropics, Europe, temperate zone
