Botanical garden of Czech Republic selected for teaching process

Presented thesis is focused on selected botanical gardens in the Czech Republic and their benefits for schools and school teaching. Today, botanical gardens are frequently visited for educational purposes and also for relaxation of people. It is important that teachers know that teaching is not possible to realize only in the school environment. Botanical gardens are an ideal place to make practical biological excursions. According to FEP, it is necessary to teach botany in school. It is important that students know how the plant looks, in which community plant lives and which benefits it has for humans. The expected outcomes mentioned above are important and botanical gardens help with their fulfilling. In my thesis I describe the possibilities that are offered and realized by botanical gardens for school excursions.

The image of Islam in Czech massmedia

The objective of this paper is to analyse media representations of Islam in the Czech media using quantitative analysis and qualitative content analysis of media images as well as the correspondence between images and spoken text. The theoretical part of this paper describes the fundamental basis of Islam, its relationship to the Western world and its position in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the given section debates the founding knowledge posessed by the sociology of media in relation to the issue of media representation. The findings will provide the basis for follow-up research.

The principle of end-focus in biblical narrative

The present study attempts to outline the influence of the principle of end-focus in a Biblical narrative by means of the theory of functional sentence perspective (FSP). It focuses on different types of interaction between two word order principles: the linearity principle of FSP, which places the communicatively most important element (rheme) at the end (end-focus), and the principle of grammatical word order, which in English requires SVOAdv(s) ordering of clause elements. Following a previous research in the field carried out on contemporary fiction, the textual material is analysed from the viewpoint of the following groups: (1) a group with clauses that adhere to both principles, (2) a group displaying violation of grammatical word order, and (3) a group displaying violation of the principle of end-focus. The fourth group is constituted by the so called transformed structures (in opposition to basic structures in the first three groups), i.e. clauses which with special devices to align the clause elements in agreement with both principles (such as the passive construction). Analysis of Customer Services in TAMTAM BAR

This bachelor's thesis deals with an analysis of customer services provided by TAMTAM BAR restaurant in Kromeriz. In the theoretical part mainly the issues of marketing research and customer satisfactory are processed. The analytical part is focused on the introduction of the company itself, followed by the evaluation and the analysis of customer satisfaction. As the result this in turn leads to proposal of measures for quality level increase of analyzed services.

The usability of postcrossing game in regional geography teaching in Junior-high school

The thesis deals with the possibility of using the game "Postcrossing" in teaching regional geography at the 2nd stage of primary schools. The main goal of this thesis is to create overview of basic principles and rules of the game and to develop proposals for educational activities resulting from the "Postcrossing" game. The thesis also includes a practical part, which contains the description of problems and positive outcomes that were revealed during the practical realization. The result is a list of suggestions for classroom activities that are applicable in school practice.

Studium flóry a vegetace mokřadu u Císařské jeskyně v Moravském krasu

This thesis focuses on flora and vegetation of the wetland near Císařská Jeskyně in Ostrov u Macochy. Three shallow pools were done during revitalization project in 2012. After that, I have carried out floristic and phytosocioological research with a goal to map and evaluate the current state of flora and vegetation. Field research was realized in years 2013-2014. The characteristic of the study area and state of the vegetation before the revitalization is posed in few first chapters. In following chapters are described met-hods, procedure and results of the research in detail. The thesis evaluates the effective-ness of the revitalization intervention during the first two years and will serve as back-ground material for continuing long-term research on permanent plots in pools.

Machining of Hardened Steel on CNC Machines

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of machining of hardened steels on CNC machines. In the first part there is the description of the company, in which the particular hardened part was machined. The next part of the thesis focuses on properties of hardened steel and their suitability for machining. The middle part of the work states the basic machining technologies used in the company and programming of the CNC machines. Further there are described the materials of the cutting tools for machining of the steel from selected producers/manufacturers. At the end of this thesis the machining of the particular hardened component is described, and the evaluation of the technology procedure is made.
