This graduation thesis aims to describe and reflect on the views relating to the depiction of women, female corporality, identity, sexuality and other elements related to the topic of women in contemporary Czech art. The thesis tries to explore characteristic methods of expression and topical schemes that connect contemporary works of art, and at the same time puts them into the context of art history, sociocultural theories of sex and gender, and current media production. Organic Composition in 20th century abstract art, music and literature

The Diploma thesis Organic composition in 20th century abstract Art, Music and Literature aims to explain the gradual process of liberalization of expressive means in Arts, Music and Literature during the 20th century. It describes the picture's emancipation from the dependence on objective reality, particularly V. Kandinsky's way towards abstract expressionism. In Music it traces A. Schonberg's development of the free atonality, and the stream of consciousness technique of J. Joyce in literature. The thesis' second part will be dealing with various manifestations of the organic composition after WWII- action and informal painting in the USA and Europe with its qualitative change. A musical and literal paralel to the principal of organic order will also be briefly introduced on the example of E. Brown's and J. Cage's aleatoric music and the spontaneous writing of J. Kerouac. Selected artistic personalities will be put into socio-cultural context of their time. As a result there comes a complex picture of the organic composition development process, suitable to be used as a source of information for teachers. The didactical part of the thesis will be focused on the possibility of using the given topic in the educational environment.
Peregrination as a Component of the Creation

This thesis deals with the fine art based on the experience of peregrination and walking - from plein air landscape painting to the works of action art and land art. These contemporary art movements regards the act of peregrination itself as an artwork. Didactic part of this thesis aims to employment of physical experience of walking in art education.
Contemporary landscape and the presence of man in it

The theme: \Contemporary landscape and the presence of man in it" is rather wide. The aim of the thesis is to focus on the mutual relation of man and the landscape, namely the symbolic and the manipulative relation of man towards the landscape. In the opening chapter of the theoretical part the term of landscape is de ned. The theme \New perspectives on the approach to the theme of landscape painting" is developed in the chapter about land-art as an artistic movement, comparing the European and American land-art and their di erent approaches to landscape. Further on the thesis follows the transformation of the landscape of pesky st redoho r and the re ection of it in the works of visual artists. The following chapters deal with the relation of man to urban landscape, to open landscape and to derelict landscape. The subject of the practical part of the diploma thesis is a photo documentation of an art installation in derelict urban area of Karl n. The theme is applied in teaching process by presenting artistic sets. During its creation the relation of art education and environmental education was considered.
Spontaneity in art and in children's art. Neoexpressionism, its origin and roles in art of the 2nd half of the 20th century

The first chapter of the theoretical part is about connections between spontaneity in art and expressive tendency. The work monitors the development of expressionism at the beginnig of the 20th century with accent on german art, specifically the art group Die Brücke, and its influence on german figurative painting after the second world war. The work is focused on german neoexpressionism and it presents its "founders", who already came out in the 60's, painters of Neue Wilde and the Cologne art group Mülheimer Freiheit. The didactic section deals with the characteristics of children's spontaneus expression from different points of view and with emotions in art education. It contains a project based on expressive fuguration realized in grammar school and basic school.
The way encountering and finding

The paper consists of a theoretical part, an art project and a didactic part which reflect the topic of the diploma work from the symbolic and onthological point of view through theory, reflexion and creative process in the area of the given topic "A way - encountering and finding". The aim of the work was to monitor areas in which the topic can appear and suggest direction where it can tend. The theoretical part shows an unusual range of the idea of the way and the didactic part outlines how to work with the idea in the area of the progress of personality and creative work.

This work The phenomenom of comicality in the art of twentieth century discuss a relation between art and comicality in this age. This essay observes an influence of the comicality on the art or more precisely deals with a problem, if the comicality is an element which push the art progress forward etc. A Practical part presents Metrosexualcyklus. This concept explores how the media and the promotion influence our personality. A Didactic part is focusing on a dialog about contemporary problems in the art and our society using the critical view.

Waste art, distinct triviality

This work is divided into three main parts - the general one, the artistic one and the didactic. It contains a brief history of trash, having in focus how it is made, produced and finally used in the work of individual organizations using plastic and plastic trash. The ecological aspect is stressed through out the whole work. The word recycle being the basis for the practical artistic part of my paper. In the artistic part of the paper I talk about exhibitions, art pieces and artists who are close to my work or who touch on this topic. This part also contains interviews with some Czech artists who found plastic as an essential material for their artistic expression. The final chapter of the artistic part of this thesis describes my own work which is derived from the topic of art made from trash. The didactic part contains an artistic project which uses samples of children art work.
The intersection of image and sound

The dissertation thesis is an insight into correlations between contemporary artistic modalities in acoustic and visual realms. It discusses the development dependencies and - through the spectrum of fusions and transformations of these realms - it traces forms of perception, the perceptional "patterns" which stem from synaesthesias. It also relates to practices peculiar to synaesthesia, their method of informational feeding intended for educational institutions, in the centre of which is school.
