The Problems of Nurses returning to Work after Maternity or Parental Leave

56 My B.A. thesis entitled "The Problems of Nurses returning to Work after Maternity or Parental Leave" tries to map out the difficulties that nurses usually encounter during the process of returning to work. One of thesis's aims is to defne the nature of the problems facing nurses when returning to the work-place. What interested me was whether motherhood can influence the choice of work-place and what the chances are for the nurses to return to the same position at work. The related question that I examine is up to which point can the professional life be combined with the personal life and how can the nurses keep up with their futher education and qualification during their maternal or parental leave. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the family history, parenthood and motherhood, discrimination in the work-place and the options of care for a small child generally available. I also try to consider the factors influencing the return of women to their professions and the specific characteristics of the nursing professions. The empirical part of my thesis is presented as a piece of qualitative research, in which, on the basis of semi-structured dialogues with five correspondents, I try to describe the situation facing them after their return to work. It refers to the resulting negative consequences for the health of both the victim and society as a whole. The focus of the work consists of a quantitative survey focused on the incidence of mobbing of non-medical health professionals. The research sample consists of practicsing health staff nurses and a patient care assistants in the Pardubice Regional Hospital. Another goal of this work is to determine the effect of mobbing on the negative changes in personal life, the quality of work and changes of employment.

This bachelor work investigates pregnant woman' s state of stress connected with prenatal diagnostics. It comprises a theoretical summary of pregnancy, prenatal care and stress. The focus of work is composed of a quantitative research. It reveals inner feelings of women, when realizing their pregnancies. It also investigates the ratio of planned pregnancies, the level of informedness of particular diagnostic procedures in prenatal care and following feelings and body responses evocated by these.

This paper deals with making interview among a doctor and patient who is a health service officer. It is divided into two parts - the theoretical and the practical one. In the theoretical part there is described the basic division of communication and it is completed by personal psychology. The practical part is composed of research. There are explored differences in communication betweueen a doctor and patients who are divided into two groups. There are explored the differences in men and women reactions. Explored group is composed of doctors and nurses who are connected by the role of being a patient, by medical praxis and medical education reached at the University. The paper deals with their opinion on education of communication at Medical Universities too. There is mentioned how do they imagine a good doctor.

This paper deals with menthal anorexia and menthal bulimia of young girls. It revers to occurence of menthal anorexia and menthal bulimia in Czech Republic in the area of Hradec Králové. The practical part is based on quantity research. This research expores knowledges of young- teenage girls, risk behaviour and it explores how is playing musical instrument and singing infuencing food intake. In reseearch there are explore girls that attends 7th, 8th, 9th clases at the basic school with a view to music.

The bachelor work deals with the problems of the hyperactivity in the childhood it discusses the disorder of attention connected with the hyperactivity. It nighlights the causes and tde display accompaning the syndrom ADHD and outlines the history of this problem. It explains the specific disorders with the learning at the same time and their mutual connection with ADHD and shows possible corrective solutions inclusive the method of EEG Biofeedback. The substance of the bachelor work is qvantitative research inqviry, that finds out the parents` opinion on the complaints of their childern and the view at the theme of ADHD in the sence of information about causes of these problems and possibilities of the remedy. It is resumpting the present status of interventional treatment of heart diseases, summarizing the most impoilant methods of this treatment and adverts to significance of educating the clients. Empirical research is based on the informations captured from the interviewed clients of the catheterization laboratory in Hradec Králové and it is proposing to evaluate subjective perception of the invasive examination by the client. considering the vessel access.
