Purpose of the project was to create a centre of the wine culture that would represent south Moravian viniculture not only all over the country, but abroad as well. It will become the connection point between wine makers and public. The building will offer the full support for the wine makers - promotions, conferences, modern technological equipment. The guests will be able to experience wine in all posssible ways - as a drink, as a form of meeting each other, in wellness. There will be a lot of events taking place, so the wine center is highly used in all seasons of the year. The architecure of the building is trying to integrate to the landscape in a very sensitive way, the human dimension was the most important factor in designing. The main part of the building was situated under the groud so the temperature for the winemaking processes is very still. On the opposite site - in the public part - the building is opening to the nature and gives the magnificent view of the Palava hills and the dams of Nove Mlyny. The building was designed in the most ecological way possible - it uses the rainwater for the processes, there is a sewerage plant based on the biological root principe and the energy for the heating and cooling system of the building is taken from the ground by the heat pump.

While I spent 7 years of study, experience and dedication to this work, the building construction has passed evolution from construction boom to contemporary building crisis. Demand for cheap building construction, materials and family housing increased sharply. Energy prices are rising every year... It seems that we will all have to deal with our essential task today or in the near future . This task is mean to prevent the current rate of degradation and destruction of our planet's climate and our environment. In this point of view, it looks the question of energy-saving construction very topical. By entering the study was to examine the possibilities of environmental friendly housing in rural areas in terms of environmental issues. My hypothesis was if can I determine the suitable candidate for the construction of passive houses themselves by comparing their characteristic of pre-defined construction samples. My objective is to offer builders and designers overview of suitable building systems with the possibility to compare the various factors influencing the decision on the selection of a builder´s construction for a house. The thesis presents the comparison of seven structural systems as a basic element of architecture. In the implementation of energy-efficient house is an architectural form often conditioned by structure. For this reason it is necessary to offer this kind of overview with options and parameters of individual building systems, which can then be used by architect to design a house for the builder - free and easy realization of his own, let´s say DIY (do it yourself). For builders (mean investors) of DIY houses is economy and finance a crucial question, therefore, for this reason I will evaluate suitable building system which is relative performance vs. price in the end. It is necessary to take into account the architecture of the house and especially the space layout and design and the attitude with the context of the rural areas environment. My pupose was to prove that good architectural design can be used with of low-cost, energy-saving and environmental friendly house built in DIY way.

ST´WINERY - Winery is situated in the countryside near the village Strachotin. The lot strongly descend down to the Nové Mlýny Dam. It brings the possibility of beautiful views toward the Palava hills. The winery itself is in connection with the additional services - wellness, accomodation, restaurant, media. These services increase the attractiveness of the location and represent the missing functions in the area. They are destined to the recreation of the winery guests. For these purposes I designed a complex of four buildings which are connected via green intensive roof. It is covered by vineyard and this fact allows an effective use of the roof area. In addition, this fact possitively affects the inner climate inside the buildings. The design is inspired by the ground fissures. It is visible on the inner square between the objects. The complex is in accord with the standards of passive housing.
Block housing estate Lesna in context of time
Guzdek, Adam ; Rudiš, Viktor (referee) ; Glosová, Dagmar (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Poslušná, Iva (advisor)
Brno Lesna is ranked among the most highly regarded housing estates in Czechoslovakia ever since it was built in the 1960s. Mainly due to its ideal location at southern slopes around natural ravine and timeless urban design. This settlement at the time also constituted the most perfect realization of the current method of construction in our country. It was fully functional and completely finished even before first residents moved in. However, cultivated expression of housing architecture was recently severely affected by inappropriate revitalization. Change of ownership after the events of November 1989 also opened the way for development companies desiring to open spaces to build new apartment buildings. Original inhabitants, though, fight against it and seek for protection of whole settlement as heritage.

Dofková, Jekaterina ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Šlapeta, Vladimír (advisor)
The relationship between Czech and Russian avantgarde has not been properly examined, therefore the aim of this research was to understand the real facts and uncover “ the blind spots“ connected with the specific development of avantgarde architecture in Czechoslovakia and Soviet Union. A comprehensive and moreless thorough detailed reconstruction of the interwar period has been created with the help of comparative and historiographic analysis. This period used to be interpreted quite contrarily under the political pressure of the Soviet regime. The thesis analyses the influence of the political regime on architecture, determines the reflection of the events in the Soviet Union on the opinions of Czechoslovak architects by means of testimonies about mutual contacts, mutual criticism and cooperation in the sphere of architecture. The thesis brings and concludes new information regarding Czech architects who were designing and working in the Soviet Union. The research is based on archive documents, articles from specialized contemporary magazines and debates between Czech and Russian architects.
