GPS telemetry and activity measurement focused on even-toed ungulates (Artiodactyla)
Peterka, Tomáš ; Bartoš, Luděk (advisor) ; Komárková, Martina (referee)
GPS telemetry is a recently expanding method for research on most animal species. It provides automatical scanning of position and related data on large distances and often on large temporal scale. The research studies has changed dramatically during the development of this method. Experiments using this technology deal with scanning of incidence, management and species conservation, activity pattern of controlled animals, estimation of behavior in various scales and so on. Activity sensors which are often included to GPS collars serve for determination of behavior of monitored species. In this thesis there are summarized basics of VHF and GPS technology. In available articles of great terrestrial mammals like even-toed ungulates (Artiodactyla) and marginally also bears (Ursidae) we show possible application of GPS technology for activity measurement, methods, restrictions and results of experiments. At the end we introduce experimental approach for activity measurement of red deer (Cervus elaphus) and results of the pilot study.
Synthesis of nitroheteroaromatic compounds with potential antimycobacterial activity
Bartoš, Lukáš ; Roh, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vinšová, Jarmila (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry Author: Lukáš Bartoš Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Jaroslav Roh, Ph.D. Title of Diploma Thesis: Synthesis of nitroheteroaromatic compounds with potential antimycobacterial activity Tuberculosis (TB) is widespread infectious disease which is mainly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Referring to the World Health Organization, it is still among the top 10 causes of death in the world. Around 10 million people worldwide suffered from TB and 1.4 million died of TB only in 2019. TB is also a leading-killer in the group of HIV-positive people. This work is based on a previous successful discovery of new compounds with significant antitubercular activity, namely 1,5- and 2,5-disubstituted tetrazoles and 2,5-disubstituted oxadiazoles bearing 3,5-dinitrobenzylsulfanyl fragment, that showed minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values as low as 0.03 µM (i.e. lower MIC compared to first line anti-TB drugs isoniazid or rifampicin). In this work we studied the influence of the replacement of 3,5-dinitrophenyl fragment with 5- nitrofuryl group and of the position of this fragment in the molecule on the antimycobacterial activity. We also attempted to prepare several 5-nitropyridin-3-yl analogues. Hence, three...

The effect of paraglider`s wear and tear of different performance levels on the flight quality
Bartoš, Libor ; Dvorský, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Fiala, Miloš (referee)
Title: The effect of paraglider's wear and tear of different performance levels on the flight quality Aims: The main aim of this thesis is to define all main aspects participating in paraglider's wear and tear and changes of flight quality connected with it. Confirmation or non-confirmation of our assumption that paragliders of lower performance levels are wearing and tearing faster than paragliders of higher performance levels, especially because of poor handling by inexperienced pilots is also an important aim of this thesis. Methods: A porosimeter JDC MK1 was used as the main diagnostic tool. We have measured a porosity of skytex, material from which the paragliders are sewn. The total number of paragliders has been 253. Results were presented by using Excel spreadsheet and analyzed by using Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Paraglider's unequal wear and tear of different performance levels was found. There has been a downward trend in wear and tear on the age of gliders from the category EN B to EN D. Performance category EN A has not been wear and tear on the level that we have expected. Keywords: paragliding, paraglider, skytex, flight quality, porosity
Financing of construction investment from the aspect of investor
Bartoš, Lukáš ; Klempt, Petr (referee) ; Kocourková, Gabriela (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe and evaluate the used sources of financing the construction contract, to propose possible financing alternatives and final evaluation of used financial resources against alternative sources. The theoretical part deals with private and public procurement, investment decisions, sources of financing the construction contract and state subsidy policy. The practical part describes the company's private contract. It analyzes the financing of the contract and evaluates the financial resources used against the alternative.
