Audio D/A converter with external control using microcontroller
Špaček, Jan ; Stifter,, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is devoted to the design of a laboratory measurement tool with DAC converter for audio and low frequency signals. In the introduction part a theoretical background of the ADC and DAC conversions are outlined. In the next chapters the technical solution of the laboratory converter is presented, including DAC with integrated circuit AD1852 and completed with digital audio receiver CS8416. This circuit secures compatibility with external audio devices with digital interfaces, like SPDIF or AES3. The digital receiver and audio DAC are added with serial communication interface for setup of the most audio and input parameters. This setup is operated by external microcontroller ATmega32 and original firmware. The thesis presents block diagram and schematic layout of the laboratory converter, including complete technical documentation for the construction and design.
Mixing console for audio signals
Špaček, Jan ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis on the theme "Mixing console audio signals" deals with the design of mixing console for mixing audio signals from several audio inputs. After a theoretical introduction to general issues and configuration mixing consoles the block diagram and then the full circuit diagram of a custom solution mixing console is proposed, whose configuration is as follows: Two mono inputs, designed as a switchable, where you can bring the microphone or line signal levels. They are equipped with a microphone preamp and attenuation articles, tri-band equalizers, panoramas and level controllers (faders). In addition, two stereo inputs, specifically designed for line level signals. They are equipped with line-preamp, panoramas and level controllers. Output signals of all input units correspond to a regular line level. On the main bus is then equipped stereo band equalizer, line output and headphone output. Bachelor's thesis comprises a technical documentation to implement functional prototype of the console, including the experimentally measured values.

Safety inspections in region Vysocina
Špaček, Jan ; Radimský, Michal (referee) ; Matuszková, Radka (advisor)
This thesis presents a safety inspection in selected places in the Vysocina region of the Czech Republic. Six intersections in rural and municipal areas, plus three rural road sections were selected for the inspection and an accident rate analysis. The places selected were compared in terms of the accident rate and one case of each group was then selected for a detailed safety inspection encompassing visual inspection and identification of possible hazards. By eliminating such safety hazards, it is possible to ensure a traffic fluency and to preclude traffic accidents or at least minimize the harm caused by it.
Colonisation of Central Europe by benthic frehwater crustacean Asellus aquaticus (Isopoda, Crustacea)
Střížek, Antonín ; Sacherová, Veronika (advisor) ; Špaček, Jan (referee)
Longterm climate changes are an inseparable part of the evolution of Earth. In the last few milions of years the changing of glacials and interglacials was as ordinary and regular phenomenon as changing from day to night or from spring to summer. These cycles also have similar influance on evolution of nature on Earth. Eventhough the state of nature appears to us stable for the few last human generations, the reality from the long term point of view is differnt. During these cycles, the location of climatic zones, size of glaciers, deserts, savannahs, steppes or rainforests have changed. Organisms changed locations of their areas of distribution, many nowadays widespread species were pushed into isolated local populations. This Master's thesis reveals the impact of glacial cycles on a freshwater crustacean aquatic Isopod (Asellus aquaticus). Very variable mitochondrial COI gene was sequenced within 139 individuals of this species from 62 different localities in Europe. This data were included into an extensive scope of an already known phylogeographic structure of the continent. An Aquatic Sowbug shows a quite high rate of a genetic heterogenity (maximum Nucleotide Divergence discovered is 0,132 and average is 0,016) in the area of the Czech Republic. Where there are found representatives of two...
Influence of tumor microenvironment, cellular and humoral immunity on cancer pathogenesis.
Špaček, Jan ; Závadová, Eva (advisor) ; Petráková, Katarína (referee) ; Kopečková, Kateřina (referee)
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the Czech Republic. Breast cancer and colorectal cancer have relatively high mortality rate. One of the areas of current clinical research in oncology is the study of prognostic biomarkers, which aims to optimize the decision-making process for a patient. Immune response and processes in the tumor microenvironment have been shown to influence to a large extent the biological nature of the tumor in terms of its aggressiveness and ability to metastasize in the host's body. There are certain tumors that could induce a strong immune response, while others do not. The ability to induce an anti-tumor cell response and to attract specific lymphocyte subpopulations directly into tumor tissue has been shown to be very closely related to the prognosis of cancer patients. There is evidence and correlation of the presence of so-called tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in tumor tissue and overall patient survival. Stratification of cancer patients based on immuno-predictors both in the plasma and directly in the tumor microenvironment makes it possible to identify suitable candidates for rediscovered modern anti-tumor immunotherapy, which can already be considered a standard therapeutic modality. In our projects, we focused on the identification of biomarkers that...
The Differences in Social Work with Newcomers in Various Settings
Špaček, Jan ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Koláčková, Jana (referee)
The topic of my bachelor work is aimed to social work with asylum seekers, refugees in the Great Britain, Armenia and the Czech Republic. In this paper I would like to shortly describe history, legislative framework and also work or duties of people working with asylum seekers, refugees or any kind of newcomers inside countries I have mentioned above. Another goal of the paper work describes situation of newcomers in these states. The choice of compared countries was based on dissimilar experiences with newcomers linked also with different economic situation in each particular state. Sources of information come as from practical experiences (practical training placement, voluntary work etc.) as from literature and Internet. In each country I try pick up main or specific problem, advantages and disadvantages of the system. At the end of the work I show some possibility of the future in social work with newcomers. Generation of realistic skydome images
Špaček, Jan ; Wilkie, Alexander (advisor) ; Pilát, Martin (referee)
Generation of realistic skydome images We aim to generate realistic images of the sky with clouds using generative adversarial networks (GANs). We explore two GAN architectures, ProGAN and StyleGAN, and find that StyleGAN produces significantly better results. We also propose a novel architecture SuperGAN which aims to generate images at very high resolutions, which cannot be efficiently handled using state-of-art architectures. 1
