Varied English Teaching

The main aim of the diploma thesis is to show, that a teaching process can be diverse especially in the early beginning. Diploma work: Varied English Teaching introduces the theory of Multiple Intelligences fit in the English lesson at elementary school. This work absolutely respects principals of the theory and tries to apply them in the teaching practice. The theoretical part is focused on the conception and interpretation of English language from the point of view of the state and school policy and multiple approach in the lesson. The program Začít spolu (Step by Step) is introduced with its methodology as an ideal place for the teaching. The attention is paid to the theory of Multiple Intelligences in the context of English teaching. The project made on the principals of the theory of Howard Gardner and its implication to the teaching process is surveyed in the school practice at primary school Angel using the program Začít spolu. Inquiry methods in educational area Man and his world: Seeds, fruit and young plants

This diploma work deals with the issues of inquiry methods of teaching at primary schools. The theoretical part provides some reflections on contributions and limits of inquiry methods and defines basic inquiry skills. Activities concerning the theme "seeds, fruit, young plants" for the pupils of the 1.-4.grade are suggested in the practical part. Nine of them were tried out in classes. The results of the action research are summarized in the conclusion. They are related to these research questions: 1. How to adjust inquiry activities in a suitable way for their use in the given classes at primary schools? 2. How do children react to this work style? 3. What demands does this work style make on teachers? 4. What problems concerning partial inquiry skills could emerge? How to continue working at them?
Controversial Issues as a Part of Education in Primary Schools

This diploma thesis focuses on dealing with controversial issues in primary schools. The main aim of this work is to find out why it is appropriate to integrate these issues into teaching, whether it is even possible for primary school pupils to deal with them and how these topics can be taught and integrated. The theoretical part begins by defining the term controversial issue, then it is devoted to developmental presupposition of primary school children for dealing with controversial issues, then how these issues relate to Citizenship and Global Education, and which methods can be used for dealing with controversial issues. Issue of Integration of Foreign Pupils with Focusing on Their Origin Country

EXNEROVÁ, Marie. The Issue of Integration of Foreign Pupils with Focusing on Their Origin Country. Prague, 2014. Diploma thesis. UK, PedF. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current situation of the integration in the Czech education system focusing on the issues and specifics inclusion of foreign pupils and on consideration of the impact of pupils' country of origin on the process. The theoretical part of diploma thesis mentions the reasons for the integration of foreigners. Moreover, it highlights why and from where they are coming to the Czech Republic. It captures the current legislation and the rights of foreigners who want to settle permanently in the Czech Republic. Further, it shows the analysis of different ways of educating pupils with special needs, the placement of foreign pupils at Czech elementary schools and intercultural differences, which may have impact on pupils' integration. The practical part focuses on comparing the available theoretical knowledge and the everyday reality of Czech teachers who teach foreign pupils and can work on their daily practice. Based on the comparison of theoretical and practical knowledge the author explains the personal point of view on the integration of foreign pupils and suggests some ideas how to overcome mentioned shortcomings....
Program EATS as an alternative in teaching English language at primary school

This thesis is about an inovative program in teaching English language called EATS. The goal was to find out the effectivness of this program on the basis of repeated observations, didactic testing and interview. In the theoretical part the position of English language in the curricular documents is discussed. Then there is the description of the communicative approach to the language learning which is very useful in nowadays globalised society.The important role of the native speaker is emphasized because he brings the authentic element into the education process and gives pupils good language model. Also the early education in foreign languages is part of this work. Integrated language learning is described on the ilustration of CLIL and its alternative which could be called "language preparation". The aim was to show an example of a good practice which could inspire someone.
Education for patriotism in Czech schools

The key aim of this work is a method of patriotic education in our schools, mainly in the first grade of primary schools. The point of this work is to awaken patriotism in society again. In the first step we are informed about the important ideas that enable to develope the assumptions neccesary for the patriotic recognition and for an increase in patriotic feeling. The theory pays the attention to morality, influencing behaviour; for example, material and physical values and the aesthetic. It describes each historical term individually, from the beginning of national recovery during the first half of 19th century to the present days. It underlines the need to understand correctly the individual ideas and it points out the general chaos and risks of their interpretations in society. It recognises the important tasks that our society has to face to maintain the education of patriotism succesfully. The practical aspect contains the class discussions, interwiews and analysis of individual pupils, teachers, directors and it compares the level and quality of class debats with teacher`s attitude. The main thing was to find out the teachers' personal feeling about patriotism, his or her attitude towards its education and the way he or she communicates this during the lessons.
Continuous models in biology

This Bachelor Thesis is devoted to study of conditions guaranteeing that the modelled biological system is stable from the point of view of surviving of species. First, we give a short survey of various concepts of ecological stability (persistence, permanence) and then we concentrate on permanence. The models we study are described in terms of semidynamical systems on metric spaces. In this framework we define permanence of a semidynamical system. Main part of the thesis are theorems giving sufficient conditions for permanence or non- permanence by adapting the method of Average Lyapunov Function. In the last chapter a model of aquatic population interacting with a polluted environment is considered and its permanence proved under certain conditions on coefficients. The aim of the theses is to present a survey of these notions. Moreover, the contri- bution of theses is the proof of non-permanence theorem whose part was known for difference equations, only. 34
Pupils - foreigners in classes of a primary school

The thesis is focused on the education and socialization of schoolchild - foreigners in classrooms of primary school. In the theoretical section it summarizes the findings of the Vietnamese ethnic minority living in Prague and Chomutov, the legal anchoring of the education of schoolchild - foreigners on teacher competences. The thesis summarizes the problematic questions of inclusion of schoolchild - foreigners and the importance of multicultural education in primary school. In the research part it collects and evaluates experiences of teachers with education of Vietnamese students in some elementary schools in Prague.
