Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Pinter, Jan ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This paper deals with graphics intro (demo) 64 kB creation issues. It analyses and describes problems involving effective use of minimum data space assigned and presents basic techniques used with those specific types of programs as mentioned above. It also describes a way of specific, interesting graphic effects and elements realization, their possible optimization and visual improvement.
Mobile App for Scanning and Recognition of Cashier Bills
Bambuch, Vladislav ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to develop a mobile application which allows photographing of cashier bills and offers a function of finance management via an intuitive graphical user interface.  The app uses OCR technology to digitize the prices of receipts and follows the new Android Material Design trends. The price marking of the particular items is carried out on the taken receipt. When the user indicates particular prices by clicking on them they are summed up into the final amount. Users are able to save such final amounts together with other related information and record statistics about their spending.  That results in a fast and very easy way of adding the purchase records which are available both in form of organized summaries and graphs.
Virtual Tour in VR
Pelánek, Lukáš ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the making of virtual tours in the virtual reality. It deals with panoramic photographs and their use in creating virtual tours. In this thesis, two applications were designed and implemented. The first one as a web editor for creating and the other as a mobile application for viewing virtual tours. The created solution provides a comprehensive tool for working with virtual tours.
Real-Time Ray Tracing
Blecha, Vít ; Sumec, Stanislav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
My thesis deal with method of rendering computer graphics called ray tracing. I will aim on possibility of rendering triangles using this method. Goal of my work is study of existing algorithms to test ray-triangle intersection, their comparison, their computing demandingness and speed on different pc architectures. I will also implement these algorithms to existing ray tracer working in real-time.
Safe Drone Reconnaissance Based on Smart Trajectory Following
Ferencz, Adam ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
Drone pilots often have to keep an eye on multiple things at once while performing a reconnaissance mission. First and foremost, the pilot has to keep an eye on the drone, but in addition to that, he or she is also observing something, keeping an eye on the image, the drone's orientation, speed, and obstacles. The goal of this work is to create an assistance algorithm that makes it easier for the pilot to watch the safe position of the drone. The work presents a novel method revising the pilot's commands to keep the drone "safely close" to a predefined flight path. This allows the pilot to focus more on accomplishing the mission objectives rather than directly and safely controlling the drone.       The output of this work is a novel method and its experimental application that has been user-tested. For testing, an AirSim simulator was integrated into the system, in which the user completes a mission first without correction enabled and then with it. In the user tests, the goal was to successfully complete the reconnaissance mission. Pilots spent 55 % of the time outside the defined safe area when flying without correction, and only 5 % when flying with the assistant. Test users reported that the solution helped them most in maintaining altitude and staying on the centre of the path.
Fast Analysis of Borders in Image
Táto kombinácia poskytuje lepšie vzorkovanie a ešte viac obohacuje výstup. Vyhodnotenie sa uskutočnilo na dátovej sade BSDS500 a najlepší výsledok sa dosiahol pre model, ktorý kombinoval RCF a RCN so skóre ODS 0,675.
Library for Evaluation of Noises Used in Procedural Texturing
Kučera, Ondřej ; Chudý, Peter (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of the work is to describe procedural texturing and usage of a noise for creating textures of real materials. The reader will learn the fundamentals of the noise, its properties and a way of using it. Random numbers and interpolation methods are important parts of the noise evaluations, therefore there are chapters about random numbers generating and interpolation methods. Obviously, there is not missing the chapter, which is depicting properties and principles of several methods of creating noise. The main part of this work is effective implementation of library with a chosen noise methods, so next chapters are about choosing methods and design of the interface, implementation and many kinds of tests and optimalizations. Achieved results and final conclusions are at the end of this work.
Rendering of Terrain and Water Surface in a Computer Game
Kopecký, Marek ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with rendering of water and terrain, which is a key part of many computer games and simulations. The resulting application runs fluently and is powered by XNA Framework. Rendering of terrain includes multi-texturing and lighting. The water simulation includes reflection and refraction of ray on water surface. Foam is rendered on the bank of water. Water waves are computed using the inverse discrete Fourier transform.
Reinforcing UX Principles in Existing User Interfaces
Pilát, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis explains meaning of user experience, its main aspects, selected methodology, its integration into agile development process and what UX maturity level can be represented in real company. It also deals with analysis of selected existing user interfaces used for network print management and its end users. Prototyping and user testing methods are iteratively applied to these user interfaces. Evaluation of these methods concludes the thesis with a recommendation what UX processes should be integrated for future development of user interfaces in Y Soft.
Innovative Music Player for Smartphones and PC
Richter, Roman ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a music player for smartphones as well as PCs that works with local music files in the user's device and which can learn which songs does the user like based on their actions during listening to music. The music player can, among other things, remember which songs were skipped by the user, when was volume turned up, or how many times was a certain song played. Each song has a score that is calculated based on these actions. With a higher score, there is also a higher chance of playing the song in the future. The results of my thesis are two full-featured versions of music player, which are capable of communication with each other to ensure synchronization of song scores. The main benefit of this thesis is an improvement of user experience during listening to music, which is achieved by the application's algorithm for song selection and minimalistic user interface.
