Legal awareness among pupils as a starting point for civic education
Dousková, Pavla ; Dvořáková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zicha, Zbyněk (referee)
The diploma thesis is focused on the basics of legal awareness of pupils. Its aim is to examine children's conceptions of responsibility and the processes associated with it in pupils at the beginning of the secondary school, to identify gaps and misconceptions with which pupils come to teaching and to propose recommendations for teaching. The theoretical part introduces the concept of responsibility, especially from the point of view of law, the psychological foundations of children's concepts and research devoted to children's concepts in the field of law. The practical part consists of a probe into children's conceptions of responsibility. The probe is implemented on pupils before the transition to the secondary school and on pupils in the 6th grade. The probe is based on two situations, which pupils can meet in their daily lives. The situations take place in two familiar environments - school and park. We focused on these situations in semi-structured interviews, which were then qualitatively evaluated. Based on the probe, it was found that students at the beginning of the 2nd grade understand responsibility, but have difficulty identifying the rules according to which it is attributed and do not understand the relationships and powers of the institutions associated with responsibility. Savings through the eyes of primary school children
Awwadová, Mona ; Tichá, Milena (advisor) ; Zicha, Zbyněk (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of savings through the eyes of primary school children and it looks at their role in the lives of upper primary school students. The theoretical part of the thesis presents an economic topic in close connection with one of consumption and investment. Furthermore, we propose ways of collecting funds and introduce the basic and the best well-known banking products. The banking products are compared with each other and, based on this comparison, we recommend procedures for which products to use related to different ways of maximizing savings and returns. The practical part of this thesis is divided into two sections. The first section presents the assumptions of qualitative research. We have formulated a research problem for this purpose, which is as follows: What are the approaches of primary school pupils in creating savings? The primary school pupils' opinions on the topic of savings are presented and interpreted based on implemented semi-structured in-depth interviews. Obtained data is finally analyzed and summarized. The research is then followed by a didactic concept of savings. The second section of the practical part is focused on financial literacy as a subject mediating a topic of financial life planing in a school teaching environment. We introduce...
The Dialog and Questions in Teaching on Second Level of Basic school
Sumcov, Jan ; Zicha, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Jirásková, Věra (referee)
This thesis describes the integral role of using dialogue and asking questions on second level of basic school. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to point out that guiding students to dialogue and asking questions is essential for the personal development of the individual and also for a deeper understanding of the curriculum. At the same time, based on available literature and research, it summarizes the basic principles and assumptions of the dialogical teaching method. In the second part of the thesis, the author attempts to reflect the findings and examples from his practice in the form of action research and to suggest some methods and procedures that can be used to support dialogical teaching. The author focuses mainly on the questions asked by students and compares his outputs with the theoretical background on which he is based. It examines the contexts and types of questions asked by students in full-time and distance learning and also suggests procedures for encouraging them to take active questions. The results show that students are able to ask questions in the classroom, however, in normal frontally arranged lessons, only a fraction of the, usually participate in speeches in this way. In this case, the possibility of asking questions in writing or encouraging students to...
Seventh-day Adventist Church as a religious phenomena
Fejsáková, Sabina ; Rybák, David (advisor) ; Zicha, Zbyněk (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to approximate and specify currently very fast growing eschatological Christian movement Seventh-day Adventist Church. First, the history of this religious community is outlined, both at the place of origin, i.e. in the USA, and in the territory of our state, where it is currently one of the most active churches in mission and preaching. Partial attention is then paid to the central circumstances and key figures behind the founding of this community - especially the Baptist preacher William Miller, who gave the initial impetus to the founding of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, or the personality of Ellen White, who was known for her extraordinary visionary abilities. The central part of the work is the characterization and definition of the basic features of Seventh-Day Adventism - namely, the basic dogmas and beliefs, in comparison with the most widespread Christian denominations (particularly the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches). In this sense, they are taken into account, comparatively against Adventism, especially the dogmatics of the first ecumenical councils. In the last part of the work, the author takes into account social or anthropological problems and questions related to this movement - for example, the question of a healthy lifestyle (which makes the...
Multiparadigmatic Teaching of Social Sciences in High School
Charvát, Štěpán ; Dvořáková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zicha, Zbyněk (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to present a specific type of teaching of social sciences in high school, namely the multiparadigmatic type. In accordance with the multiparadigmatic character of social sciences, this teaching type accentuates the plurality of approaches to a given social topic and does not indoctrinate the learner with one specific approach or paradigm. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis describes the concept of scientific paradigms, mostly on the basis of the findings of philosopher T. S. Kuhn, who addresses this issue in the context of natural sciences. Next, it is explained why the concept of paradigms can be related to social sciences and how these two science areas differ. The multiparadigmatic character of social sciences is then applied to their didactics, where selected methodological aspects of multiparadigmatic teaching are discussed, such as the choice of paradigms, working with them, and the attitude of the teacher. This part of the diploma thesis also illustrates the concepts of monoparadigmatism and multiparadigmatism with the comparison of two didactic manuals and two curricular documents from various environments. Furthermore, it describes the reasons for the employment of multiparadigmatic teaching as well as its conditions and limitations. The...
