Thermal Insulation Effect of a Building with Green Roof on the Operation-Related Expenses
Jílek, Jan ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (referee) ; Čech, Josef (advisor)
Diploma thesis entitled Influence of green roof insulation on the costs associated with one operation with an assessment of the design of alternative solutions for external contact thermal insulation system and their effects on the assessment of energy performance of the building and the associated costs of construction and operation. Alternatives for the design of a flat roof with a vegetation layer are also chosen in the construction solution of the building. The first part of the diploma thesis deals with the general requirements for the design and assessment of energy performance of buildings. The second part describes the individual options of the selected contact thermal insulation system and variants of flat roofs with a vegetation layer. In the next part, the budget for individual variants of thermal insulation is solved and the price of all variants is determined. The last part demonstrates the assessment of all variants and the overall economic evaluation with the selection of the best variants. For all variants, the time for which the investment will return is evaluated.

The thesis includes tables with drawings of shards of the pottery made by the author of this thesis (unless otherwise indicated) and also map tables from the archeological research and other inserts.
Rebuilding of VUT 051 RAY into twin-engine conception
Jílek, Jan ; Mališ, Michal (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
The master’s thesis is dealt with the design of rebuilding of VUT 051 RAY which is equipped electric powerplant to twin-engine conception named VUT 051 RAY-DUO. In the thesis was verified the range of centre of gravity position of VUT 051 RAY-DUO then powerplant in ducted fan configuration was designed, performances of the airplane were appointed and controllability during fail one of the engines was analysed. The design of new powerplant was verified by strength analysis and then costing calculation was established.
Effect of regulation on OTC derivatives in G-SIBS in the USA in 2010-2015
Zajíčková, Tereza ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Munzi, Tomáš (referee)
Institutions from the G-SIBs category have been under greater scrutiny not just by regulatory authorities since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008. Insufficient regulation in OTC derivatives combined with moral hazard expressed in the highly speculative behaviour by G-SIBs were major factors contributing to the development of the financial crisis. The regulatory bodies in the USA responded to the situation by adopting the Dodd-Frank ACT with the aim to introduce additional rules for the market with OTC derivatives and regulate the activities of G-SIBs significantly. The paper analyses selected indicators related to the OTC derivative exposure and the overall financial condition of the selected G-SIBs. The thesis analyses the development of the monitored indicators following the implementation of the DFA to confirm that the risk arising from speculative derivative deals by G-SIBs was reduced, the financial condition of the selected institutions was strengthened, and the systemic risk was thus suppressed during the period 2010-2015.

Group sequential tests in clinical trials
Jílek, Josef ; Kulich, Michal (advisor) ; Komárek, Arnošt (referee)
Group sequential tests are an important statistical method. The analysis of data are performed continuously, which allows us to terminate the test before all observations are collected. For example these tests are used in medicine. When testing new drugs or procedures, this method brings about financial savings as well as ethical advantages. There are many ways of conducting group sequential tests with different qualities. Based on the perused literature, both basic and more complex types of group sequential tests are introduced in this paper. It discribes their principle and respective examples are provided. With this information it is possible to design and conduct a particular test. It's merits and demerits are compared for every method in real situations. The result is a tabular scale of different tests, from which it is possible to select a particular test for a given situation.
