Work motivation and employees' satisfaction

This bachelor work pays attention to the phenomena of motivation and job satisfaction. Approach to this problem involves both the psychological aspect and the aspect associated with managing people in an organization. The theoretical background consists of general knowledge about human motivation, work motivation, how to influence the motivation of people in the work process. Work also deals with job satisfaction and its determinants. Deals with the relationship of motivation and satisfaction of the manifestations of work behavior, especially the stability and work performance of employees. The work presents an overview of techniques for job satisfaction and is the employee satisfaction survey, which was implemented in 2009 by reference organization on which realization I had participated as trainne. of personnel department. The aim of work is to present the staff satisfaction survey as a tool which help organizations to get information about the current level of satisfaction of their employees. Problems of awareness and competency of employees on the attitude of senior management to human resources issue

Topic of this Bachelor thesis are human resources and their utilization and significance for the way in which organizations work. The aim is to introduce a problem of factors which influence the behaviour of people in senior positions today, or, to be more specific, their approach to the problem of human resource management. It is an actual issue with a great impact on work of organizations and their success in the competitive environment. The work also offers an outline of the history of the above problem and the gradual development of the role of a personnel professionals. Apart from motivation and significance of the pursuit of employees' welfare the work also deals with the impact of easier access to information thanks to modem information and communication technologies, which enabled both prospective employers and prospective employees the more detailed mapping of the situation on the labour market. This work also contains a brief outline of a problem of performance appraisal and employees' participation in decision-making processes in the terms of a given organization. Last but not least, the reader will also find here a comparison of two different approaches to managing people - management and leadership. 5

In my bachelor thesis I mainly deal with New Trends in People Management. In the beginning I can not leave out the development of the theory of organization in the historici context, that shows us, which wals the theory or ogranization in the 20th century wended. The next part is about the system of business education and other development programs, that are nowadays a very actual topic too. Except the mentioned development programs is a cycle of business education described in my bachelor thesis, but also systematical business education itself. 6 The learning organizaction and its describtion, mening or characteristics are in the next part of my bachelor thesis. This is a very actual topic too, which is very closely connected with the high necessity of knowledge. The last part, which is related with the learning organization, is about knowledge management. The knowledge network or kinds of knowledge are described here and the the importnce of tacit knowledge is here stressed too

This work deals with the organizational culture as a phenomenon present in every organization. Organizational culture provides information on the internal life of the organization, because it incorporated the basic assumptions, understanding of its own existence and artifacts through which the organization wants to be seen by its surroundings and its own employees. This work deals with form and operation of various types of organizational cultures. Important topics organizational culture is its strength and content, which is one of the main indicators of the impact of organizational culture on the organization. One of the main objectives of this bachelor work is to describe the relation of organizational culture and performance of the organization, which is given to specific examples of management processes.
The burnout syndrome

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of burnout syndrome. The introduction of the work provides the definition of burnout which can be found in scientific literature. The next part of the work deals with stress, which is considered as the main cause of burnout. This section further identifies possible sources of stress in personal and professional life while highliting possible consequences of long term stress on human health. Subsequently, the work describes and specifies symptoms and stages of the process of burnout and refers to the professions that are at risk of burnout. Attention is also devoted to the treatment of affected individuals and their return to full life. An important part of this work is the area of prevention, which provides specific instructions and procedures to prevent burnout. The aim of this work is to summarize the scientific knowledge on the topic and serve as a source of information for those interested in the issue. Blended learning in the educational system of public administration officers

The Bachelor's work focuses on the topic of training officials working in public administration, which has been illustrated both from the theoretical and practical points of view. The work is based on the theoretical concept of human resources capital. The second chapter defines the contemporary concept of an all-life learning in the Czech Republic, its system and basic documents. The following part describes the basic theoretical framework of training of the public administration officials in the Czech Republic, based on the Act No. 312/2002 Coll., on Local Government Officials for their Preparation of Workers in Public Administration and on Modification of Certain Acts. The work moreover explains the basic principles of officials' training, describes separate areas thereof, as well as the system of accreditation of educational establishments and programs and basic models of development of the training programs. The closing part of the paper is focused on practical knowledge resulting from implementation of the training programs designated for the target group of public administration officials and relating to the ESF EU Project: Creation of Innovative Training Programs for Zlín County Administration Officials. Many social sciences are focused on people and their working activity. From psychological branches we can mention for example the personal psychology and work and organization psychology. The main goal of each company is creating a strong position on market and achievement of profits. Psychology generally presents one of many ways how to contribute not only the personal success of employees but also the success of organization in economic and manager experience. Work psychology follows patterns of mental regulation of working activity and usage of those patterns in practice. The subject of investigation is work activity, working conditions and working results. The common link of the subject, goals and tasks are just people - employees. Employees are the most important element of success and prosperity of organization.
Usage of psychology in human resources specialist work

My bachelor work is focused on psychological methods and aspects, which are used in different domains of human resources work and are able to support improvement of human resources specialists work and herewith also to more effective human resources management of the whole company. These domains include selection of new employees where I explain most common used psychological methods and its usage. These methods include interview, work competence tests, assessment centre and I also notice usage of graphology. Thereinafter this work is concerned with employee motivation and conflicts in the company. I mention importance of employee motivation in the company and basic motivation theories, whose knowledge helps to understand motivation importance in work process. Another aspect of this work is role of human resources specialist in conflicts solving. I feature as an example human resources area at the police service, where psychology finds wide spere of activity. The work is closed by chapter about ethic behaviour in the work of human resources specialist.
Management and leadership in 20th century

The bachelor thesis describes the development of most famous theories of management and leadership in 20th century that had and still do have great influence over our managerial and organisational thinking. The focus of this paper is to describe and critically evaluate the contribution of these theoretical disciplines from a human factor's perception of organisation. The first part of the thesis is focused on "big theoretical concepts" of "taylorism", Fayol's concept of managerial functions and principles in management, human relations school and theory of bureaucracy. The second part considers modern and post industrial theories influenced by psychology and information technology and those built on the basis of former great thinkers of management.
Intercultural communication in firms

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the cultural influence on communication in firms. The work draws from topics of general intercultural communication, which I then relate to the corporate life. My starting point is the assumption that Czech firms have so far rather been unaware of, neglected or underestimated the cultural influence on the corporate communication. Therefore I focused in particular on the most important and basic topics of intercultural communication. The aim is to provide both managers and employees with enough arguments so as to make them accept the intercultural communication as a relevant topic of the current corporate life and aware of the training needs which would develop the overall communication competence. In the first chapter I deal with the corporate communication, then with the topic of culture and eventually with the intercultural communication in firms. As a specific part I included few results of an inquiry with employees of a Czech branch of German IT company that employs specialist coming from a wide variety of countries.
