Car Front Axle Driveline Gearbox
Černuško, Lukáš ; Černý, Jiří (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
Goal of the Master Thesis was to design conception of electric vehicle driveline, which is able of torque vectoring between each wheel independently and to design front axle gearbox. The aim was to use up the car on race track and to test dynamic properties of electric vehicle for follow-up development. Due to determined requirements and possible solutions the conception of driveline was designed and basic parameters were defined. The main part of the thesis contains a design of gearbox including strength calculation of gearing, the control of shafts to fatigue and elasticity limiting states, life of selected bearings. Gearbox case was subjected to FEM analysis. The last chapter uses simulation to gain vehicle acceleration. Designed electric driveline is applicable to other sport vehicles after some modifications.
Phasal Periphrases in Portuguese
Jindrová, Jaroslava ; Zavadil, Bohumil (advisor) ; Černý, Jiří (referee) ; Svobodová, Iva (referee)
This dissertation aims to provide a survey of periphrastic aspectual constructions in contemporary European Portuguese. The research was initially conducted on periphrastic constructions in the two main Portuguese corpuses, the CETEMPúblico and the Corpus do Portugus, and was then followed by a semantic analysis. The main problem, according to the author, consists in the fundamentally different conceptions of aspect and the nature of verbal action in Czech and Portuguese. Given that the grammatical category of aspect has different contents in Czech and Portuguese, it is preferable to use the term aspectuality as a three-layer system of interacting categories of aspect, telicity, and the nature of verbal action. If the traditional Slavic aspect is to be expressed in Portuguese by other means at various levels of construction, Czech lacks a way to render the variety of meanings of Portuguese periphrastic constructions that represent the different categories of the nature of verbal action (Aktionsart). In the dissertation, aspectuality in Portuguese is considered a system of mutually correlated categories - aspect, the nature of verbal action, and the lexical semantics of the verb. In Portuguese, the category of the nature of verbal action employs specific means that can be separated from morphological means...
Competencies of the General Meeting of a limited liability company
Černý, Jiří ; Štenglová, Ivanka (advisor) ; Oehm, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with competencies of the General Meeting of a limited liability company in the Czech legal order. At the first place its aim is to define the term competencies of the General Meeting. The next main task is an in-depth analysis of each issue that falls within the competencies. The attention is concentrated predominately on how decisions about the issues concern the General Meeting as the highest body of the limited liability company, i.e. which requirements, procedures and limitations have to be complied with according to the law. The intent is to point out all the areas within the subject matter of this thesis that are ambiguous or the areas without any consistent view on them for any reason including providing with my own commentary or opinion of a possible solution. The essential part of the thesis is an analysis of a current practice of higher courts of the Czech Republic related to the subject matter of the thesis. The purpose of the first chapter is to introduce briefly the issue of the competencies of the General meeting to the reader. Its content is focused mostly on determination of a position of the General Meeting within the limited liability company comparing to the other bodies of the company. The second chapter is concentrated on defining the term competence, the...

The stylistic-pragmatic factors of the usage of the article in the contemporary Portuguese
Svobodová, Iva ; Zavadil, Bohumil (advisor) ; Hricsina, Jan (referee) ; Černý, Jiří (referee)
In this dissertation we present all the principle aspects of to the usage of the article in the contemporary Portuguese language trying to prove that the article has a pragmaticstylistics' valour. The usage of the article is a very complex problem that has to be studied from various angles and we try to incorporate here all those aspects that influence the correct selection of the articles, including the phonetic and morphological aspects, the type of contexts, the type of the operation of determination and the type of the text or the function of the language. The influence of social group mentalities in the Czech Republic after 1989
Černý, Jiří ; Šubrt, Jiří (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee) ; Marada, Radim (referee)
The goal of the dissertation thesis is to describe and analyze the influence of social group mentalities on the processes of post-communist transformation in the Czech Republic after 1989. Mentalities are described through their impact on attitudes, political and economical activities of different social groups (defined by socio-professional status, social class, and age). They are analyzed both in national and international context. The inquiry into determination of collective action has had its gradual progress in the sociology, so the dissertation outlines different approaches to social groups from this field of view. This outline led to the operationalization of the term "social group mentality". Mentalities can be treated as schemes of perception, thinking and acting, which are typical to a social group and relatively stable in time. Three structural dimensions of mentality were found, in which it is appropriate to make further inquiry - group identity, legitimization of leadership, and goal achievement. A qualitative survey, conducted in 2003-2004, gave answers about sources of creation of the social group mentalities. Each social group reinterprets common life experience of itself, of other social groups within society, and tries to legitimate its mentality as identical part of the society. Different...
Non Emergency Medical Transport
Černý, Jiří ; Haškovcová, Helena (advisor) ; Slabý, Marek (referee)
The topic of this work is non emergency ambulance service ( i.e. transport of wounded and/or sick persons). The theoretical part is devoted to the history of medical transportation services from ancient times to the present both in the world and the Czech Republic. An historical overview is supplemented by information on the development of technical means of ambulance services. The other part is a description of existing systems of ambulance services, particularly the transfer of patients from home to the place of medical care and back or, as the case may be, between health centres in selected countries of the world. In the practical part of diploma work the results of a qualitative research are published. In the first half of 2008 the Czech Ministry of Health published its design of services to be paid by patients- among others - also some transport services. The Ministry included this proposal in the framework of health care reform. The topic of research was to determine the readiness of patients to a significant co-payment (deductibles) for medical transportation costs. A hypothesis was initially established that patients in the Czech Republic were not ready for to the substantial co-payments (deductible coverage) of the costs. The research has confirmed the hypothesis. The work is accompanied by...
Structure and function of IRES elements in yeast
Černý, Jiří ; Pospíšek, Martin (advisor) ; Fišer, Radovan (referee)
Translation initiation is an important step in control of gene expression. Cellular mRNAs are usually translated via classical cap-dependent pathway, but some of them can also be translated by an alternative pathway like IRES mediated one. In the first part of my work I studied a possibility of IRES dependent translation initiation of RRN3 and BAS1 mRNAs from yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. I inserted BAS1 and RRN3 5'UTR into the intercistronic spacer of pFGAL4h and its promotreless version and measured the activity of secondary reporters in enegineered yeast strains. My data indicates presence of cryptic promoter in tested regions. To confirm this results I first inserted the RRN3 5'UTR into the intercistronic region of another bicistronic plasmid - pRFh and measured expression of second cistron. The results were similar like in the case of pFGAL4h system. The presence of shorter RNAs transcribed from cryptic promoter within the intercistronic region was shown using real time PCR. My quest in the second part of this work was to prepare RNAs useful for next investigation of translation control of lariat capped RNAs produced by GIR1 ribozyme in a slime mold Didymium iridis. I have prepared a wide set of DNA molecules coding different versions of GIR1 in front of the firefly luciferase ORF which served as...
