Possibilities of conservative and surgical approaches for Dupuyter's contracture
Klímová, Michaela ; Demeková, Júlia (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
Dupuytren' s contracture is a disease that is characterized by its slowly developing of flecture contractures of the fingers and is conditioned by pathological changes of the palmar aponeurosis. The bachelor's thesis "Possibilities of conservative and surgical approaches for Dupuytren's contracture" deals with the overall issue of Dupuytren's contracture. The thesis includes knowledge about anatomy of palmodigital aponeurosis, clinical picture, etiology, epidemiology, diagnostics, conservative and surgical treatment a nd points to a crucial influence of physiotherapy as an integral part of the treatment. A significant part of the thesis is focused on physiotherapeutic methods which are most frequently used for subsequent treatment of the disease. In the conclusion of the thesis, there is a brief description of physical therapy and occupational therapy. The thesis is supplemented with two case reports of patients with Dupuytren's contracture, treated with 2 different forms of treatment. Subsequently, final state of health of patients was evaluated depending on the method of treatment. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Sensorimotor training - part of comprehensive treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Bezděková, Tereza ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibility to influence the values of the lung function in patiens with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) after exercise carried out according to the Methodology of sensorimotor training. The thesis contains a summary of theoretical knowledge about the pathophysiologic expresion of COPD, including their consequences not only for the respiratory system, but musculoskeletal system as well. Furthermore the thesis includes the information about the Methodology of sensorimotor training, that was used to influence the posture correction in our research. Methods: The spirometric examination of flow-volume curves monitor the changes prior to and after the exercise according to sensorimotor training in patiens with COPD (mean age 60, 733 ± 11,817). Results: The using of sensorimotor training can provide correction of the position of the whole body, of the chest, and change a chest mobility and in total to set up conditions for more economical muscle activation. This enable the changes in the values of the lung functions in the patiens with COPD, that we measured. Not all changes showed statistically significant change. Conclusion: Using sensorimotor training have an objective effect on the values of the lung function in patiens with COPD.
Physiotherapy procedures in patients after disc surgery in lumbar spine
Kozohorská, Václava ; Babková, Lenka (advisor) ; Horáček, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis focuses on problems of physiotherapy procedures after a surgery of intervertebral disc in the meaning of intensity, timing and therapeutic procedures. In the general part it gives comprehensive overview about functional anatomy, kinesiologi, biomechanics of the spine and about the function of intervertebral disk. It also deals with methods of investigation and surgical interventions. In the special part, the thesis focuses on the most appropriate choice of timing, intesity and mainly on special methods which are the most commonly used in patients after surgery of intervertebral disc. It gives the basic charakteristics of each special methods in relation to patients after surgery of intervertebral disc. The practical part of this thesis includes patient case report after surgery of intervertebral disc which describes the examination before neurosurgical intervention, surgery, hospitalization and outpatient rehabilitation.
Thoracic Outlet Syndrom
Chasáková, Ludmila ; Demeková, Júlia (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
Thoracic outlet syndrome is a syndrome involving compression at the superior thoracic outlet, wherein excess pressure placed on a neurovascular bundle passing between the anterior scalene and middle scalene muscles. According to the predominant symptoms we can distinguish neurogenic, arterial and venous syndrome. Treatment is either the surgical removal of structures causing compression or conservative measures aimed at decompressing the oppressed structures through functional activation of surrounding area. The thesis presents an overview of available findings on this issue, followed by case report of a patient with venous TOS.
The age related changes in walk stereotype
Vojtová, Michaela ; Vacek, Jan (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
1 Abstract: The aim of this study quantify and compare the differences in the dynamics of foot movement compared with static in adulthood and old age, focusing on the midstance phase. A secondary objective is to outline the relationship with the angular distribution of pressure on the sole. For measurements two measuring methods were used. The kinematic analysis named Qualysis was used as a main method and system of plantar pressure insoles Pedar X as a complementary method. The difference in measured distance of 1-MP calcaneus, 5MP - calcaneus and pronate angle of calcaneus was prooved using the statistical calculation, which confirmed the hypothesis of half clear a significant degree. Subsequently, the changes were further specified using the results of the distribution of maximum force and contact time of the soles.
Possibilities of physical therapy in patients with chronic form of respiratory diseases at the pulmonary disease sanatorium
Švehlová, Eliška ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to prove that active techniques of respiratory physiotherapy together with aerosol inhalations contribute effectively to treatment of acute and chronic respiratory problems and also to prove that this therapy increases patient's motivation to realize the importance and effectiveness of respiratory exercises . Benefits of above-mentioned therapy influence patient's professional life. Quality of life has also impact on family and social relationships of respective patient. The aim is to prove the importance of pulmonary rehabilitation as a complex and multidisciplinary program of care for patients with chronic respiratory disease. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The contemporary view of muscle dysbalances of the upper-crossed-syndrome type
Tetřevová, Eva ; Babková, Lenka (referee) ; Smolíková, Libuše (advisor)
The thesis "Contemporary perspective on muscle imbalance of upper -crossed syndrom "deals with its etiology, then with kinesiological content and therapy principles in its background research. This problem is approached from the Czech and world point of view. The clinical experiment compares muscle activity with tendency to hyperreactivity linked to this type of imbalance in the group of patients suffering from respiratory disorders to control group of healthy probands. Sitting position, stand and stand with shoulder flexion are examined kinetic sequences whose selection was the result of their numerous representation in everyday life. Muscle imbalance of upper-crossed syndrom is present and chronically fixed in patients. Surface electromyography /sEMG/ is used as an objectivization method. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
