Braking retarders for heavy commercial vehicles

This thesis deals with the issue of retarders for trucks and buses. It concentrates on the fundamentals of their function and their construction. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first chapter describes braking power necessary to slow down the vehicle. The second chapter focuses on the main characteristics of retarders. The third chapter contains a description of their basic types. The fourth chapter compares these separate types. The concluding chapter of this thesis is dedicated to development trends. The thesis has a research character and does not contain new construction proposals.
Clutches for Heavy Commercial Vehicles

This work summarizes the issue of clutches and retarders designed for commercial vehicles. It deals with the principle of function and construction of clutches for manual and automatic transmissions. It also outlines the issue of materials for clutch linings and the suitability of their use. Finally, retarders are analyzed, focusing mainly on oil, water and electrical types.
Systems for performance flow distribution in vehicles powertrain

The bachelor thesis tries to provide compact knowledge about differential systems. In the first part of the thesis you can find information about basic function and differentials are divided into several groups. Second part describes elementary kinematic and torque quantities which have significant influence on the character of differential. Last part of my thesis is concerned with groups of differentials mentioned in the first chapter. Also in the last part there is place devoted intelligent differentials which are nowadays on a market.
Conceptual Design of Electromobile

This diploma thesis deals with concept design of electric car with electric in-wheel motors. The designing work starts with modeling of dynamic through acceleration and range of electric car. This was necessary to choose important components. These components were placed based on given criteria. The full model of electric car was designed in program Creo Parametric. In the final chapter stress analysis via program Ansys is presented.
Design of the rear drive axle of the suburban bus SOR

This thesis deals with the choice of suitable rear axle and the subsequent design of its placement into the frame of the new SOR bus. There is processed the determination of loading forces in three types of driving conditions. Furthermore, the strength analysis of the axle beam is carried out using the forces obtained.
Design of Formula Student Wheel Suspensions

Tato práce se se zabývá návrhem kinematiky zavěšení kol obou náprav. Na základě analýz jízdních dat, multi-body simulací v softwaru Adams Car, simulací v Matlabu a analytických kalkulací v Mathcadu, je navržena řada změn s cílem zlepšit jízdní vlastnosti vozu Formule student, tyto změny jsou následně implementovány do CAD modelu vozu. Jednotlivé změny kinematiky náprav jsou provedeny na základě analýzy konkrétního problému, který se snaží řešit. Jednou z problematik je zástavbová náročnost systému odpružení a zavěšení zadních kol, zde je cílem snížit hmotnost, výšku těžiště a moment setrvačnosti. Další problematikou je geometrie předního kola, kde je cílem zlepšit využití pneumatik a snížit síly v řízení. Dále se práce zabývá simulacemi elastokinematiky zadní nápravy, součástí je také návrh měřícího zařízení. V poslední části je zkoumán vliv provedených změn i elastokinematiky na jízdní dynamiku vozu v ustálených stavech za pomocí MM metody simulované s modelem celého vozu v Adams Car a zpracované v Matlabu.
Design of public lighting for the improvement of road safety

This paper is focused on quality assessment of public lighting systems. These systems are compared to the standard requirements of road lighting rules. Inconvenient systems are redesign with help of lighting design software DIALux in order to fulfill these rules. Part of this paper is dedicated to other issues like pedestrian crossings, color effect and economy.
The pistons of four-stroke engines and their application

This thesis deals with historical development of pistons for four-stroke combustion engines and their application for machines using both diesel and petrol fuel. The beginning explains how the four-stroke combustion engines works and what role the piston plays that. The following is about the description of the individual parts of the piston, the important attribute the piston should have and how the piston is loaded by the forces in the combustion process. The next part deals with the historical development of the piston, especially in the first half of the 20th century, when the combustion engines had the greatest rise. In this chapter are summarized the design methods, the types of material and the Wankel engine. Below is a summary of the modern methods of producing pistons, their types of use, types of materials, coatings and cooling methods.
Process of ecological recycling of vehicles

The whole goal of bachelor work was coherently give information about a process of ecological recycling of vehicles given a construction of vehicles and reuse of obtain materials which eliminate formation dangerous scraps. I included nowadays findings in ecological recyclation and future growth in my work. Also I worked on legislative sections which manage recycling. At the end I described whole technological procedure of recycling disposal.

Bachelor’s thesis, Dynamic vehicle-road interaction, deals with a summary of basic knowledge about the acting force and factors that affect interaction of vehicle with surface. The work is divided into six parts, which deals with the definition of basic concepts and characteristics of dynamics, traction vehicle, braking, maneuverability, the chassis aspects influencing the traction and anti-skid road surface properties.
