Left-handed child in nursery school

The diploma paper is focusing on the education of lef-handed children in nursery schools and the availability of information about sinistrality for teaching professionals and parents. The theoretical part is describing the methods of laterality diagnostics as well as defining the terms sinistrality and left-handedness. It is also focusing on the educational leadership of sinistral pre-school children and how the society evolved over time in terms of its attitude towards left-handedness. A vital part of this thesis is the mapping of available information in expert publications, specialised magazines and internet resources. The practical part is researching the experience of nursery and primary school teachers with left-handed pupils. The experiment is based on two equally large groups of righ-handed and left-handed children and is comparing the level of abilites required for scissor cutting.
Educating the Children of Foreigners at Elementary Schools

This diploma thesis focuses on the issues surrounding the education of the children of foreigners at elementary schools. The theoretical part sums up information about national minorities living in the Czech Republic, the legislative background, educational methods used for educating foreigners' children, multicultural education, bilingualism and teachers' competencies in connection with educating foreigners at Czech elementary schools. The research part presents the current state of education of foreigners' children at a selected elementary school in Prague, from the point of view of students, teachers, the director of the school and finally the teacher's own experience.
Climate of a school class

The theoretical part is focused on the issue of class environment, social relationships in the class and pupil's self-esteem in the context of the class. The practical part contains research which was drawn as a comparsion of class climate and relationships among pupils in selected fifth grade and afterward in sixth grade of basic school.
Child in the beginning of school attendance

The aim of this diploma thesis is to handle the topic of children school maturity and primary school postponement. The theoretical part deals with school and school age in general, with characteristics of a child at the beginning of school attendance, with process of its start at primary school and with its school maturity or immaturity. Further, the issue of school postponement is discussed, with its specific reasons referring to pedagogical diagnostics. The practical part investigates the process of primary school enrollment, finding out facts about current situation of school maturity/immaturity of children in last classes of kindergarten and analyzing the most frequent reasons for additional school postponement. As a part of the practical part, suggestions for improving of current situation have been also introduced. This research was based on observation of school enrollment process, on survey performed with primary school teachers, and on research conducted among kindergarten children.
Vietnamese pupil in the Czech environment and in the Czech school

Diploma thesis deals with the integration of Vietnamese students in the Czech culture. The theoretical part contains information related to multiculturalism and its development in the Czech Republic. Following the multicultural reality of the theoretical part deals with multicultural education, not only in the CR, but also in other countries which have about multicultural education experience. Also identifies Vietnamese ethnicity, which resides in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on Vietnamese children in Czech schools. In the practical part examines approaches Czech pupils and teachers to Vietnamese students. Furthermore, the feelings and values of Vietnamese students and confronts them with the real situation at the elementary school in the Czech Republic.
Management of school class as a social community

The object of following graduation theses is to create a syllabus of class meetings. These meetings should increase the level of familiar relationship between pupils and induce the fellow feeling of the class group. The project is focused on support of classroom forming as a social group and on improvment of possitive social relationship of pupils attending primary school. Based on the result of realising project and reflective notes from all meetings is made the analysis of positive contribution for the class. The project helps as well to define problematic areas of similar projects through the teachers reflection and to understand sensitive sites of the work with class group for young teachers.
Integration of pupils with the special educational needs into the mainstream schools from the teacher's point of view

The thesis focuses on the problems of integration of pupils with the special educational needs into the mainstream schools. It deals with the terminology connected with this topic and law adjustment of the integration in the Czech Republic. The thesis analyses the meaning, contribution and obstacles in the process of the integration at school, describes the conditions and competencies of the relevant factors. The aim of the research is to find out and compare opinions, pieces of experience and needs of integrating teachers in the sphere of the integration of pupils with the special educational needs into the mainstream schools. The thesis is determined to beginning teachers.
Social development of pupils in class

This work is focused on a social development of pupils at primary school. The theoretical part is based on contemporary and inspiring literature studying the diploma topic, contains features of primary pupils, their development of social competencies, the role of school, theory of class as a social group, behaviour of its members and hierarchy of social roles in such a background. There are also methodical instruments which can help working on respectful atmosphere to the teacher for less popular pupils, too.

Emotional intelligence is the ability to face up with changes in life, describes a concept that involves the ability of empathy, harking, perception, understanding of feelings, the ability of identifying, assessing and managing the emotions of oneself and the others. In the theoretical part I will analyze positive and negative factors effecting on children's emotional evolution from surroundings, especially social factors. I will present recommended techniques for working with emotional intelligence. Practical part will show how it is possible to modify methods into classwork activities. Methodical-systematical teacher's work can certainly develop emotional intelligence of children.
