Schooling for Pupils with Mental Disabilities in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Diplomová práce je rozčleněna do šesti kapitol. V prvních čtyřech kapitolách jsem se pokusila o teoretický vhled do problematiky školství pro mentálně postižené v Severním Porýní-Vestfálsku. V páté kapitole jsem popsala konkrétní příklad fungování školství pro mentálně postižené v Severním Porýní-Vestfálsku, konkrétně v Dortmundu ve výše zmíněné škole. Šestou poslední kapitolu doplňuje závěr, ve kterém jsem zmínila nejdůležitější poznatky, které jsem díky této práci získala a které by mohly být zamyšlením pro naši speciální pedagogiku. První kapitola vytváří přehled základních pojmů, týkajících se školství v Německu a pojmosloví ze speciální pedagogiky. Pomáhá tak v lepší orientaci v dalším textu. Druhá kapitola přináší krátkou informaci o spolkové zemi Severní Porýní- Vestfálsko a stejně i o jejím systému školství. Nechybí pohled na možnosti vzdělávání pro žáky s postižením. Poslední její část se pak zabývá pohledem na definici a klasifikaci mentální retardace z německého pohledu. Třetí poněkud obsáhlejší kapitola pak seznamuje s legislativním rámcem školství pro žáky s mentálním postižením. Podává pohled na doporučení konference ministerstev školství, ze kterých se vychází při vytváření rámcových směrových linií pro těžiště podpory - mentální postižení. Integration of Children and Youth with Mental Disabilities within the framework of Free-time Activities with a special view to the Scouting Movement

Thema of this thesis is integration of childrens with mental handicap into their leisure time. Especially it is focused to their integration into the scout group. The goal is to show one of the possibilities how childrens with mental handicap can spent their leisure time in the environment of intact peers. In theoretical section is definition of terms like integration and leisure time, their basic description and approach. In following section is short summary of question about mental retardation. It is focused on Down syndrom and autism. These questions are related to cases in practical section. Empirie section is presenting results of survey which was applied to scout leaders. This survey is about approach to integration, their experiences and practical options. Thesis continue with case study of two scout departments where were implemented two childrens with mental handicap. Information, especially from practical section, should help to improve possibilities of integration childrens with handicap into their leisure time.

Jednu z nejpočetnějších skupin mezi občany se zdravotním postižením tvoří lidé s mentálním postižením. Na lidi s mentálním postižením se vztahují všechna lidská práva stejně jako na všechny ostatní lidské bytosti. Kulturní společnost se musí naučit žít a komunikovat i s odlišnými jedinci, s občany se zdravotním postižením.Tento trend se označuje pojmem integrace (Valenta, Múller, 2003). Integrace je postoj společnosti k občanům se zdravotním postižením, který je neodmítá, ale naopak se snaží vytvářet optimální podmínky pro jejich začlenění do společenského života. The goal of the dissertation is to present possible therapeutic concepts that should not fail in care for people with physical and combined handicap, not only in the frame of special educational care. The text involves the evaluation of the question-form research dedicated to parents of children with physical and combined handicap. It was aimed to take the level of awareness earlier mentioned therapeutic concepts.
Educational Programmes in Rehabilitation Classes of Special Primary Schools

My thesis wil be focused on the problems with education of children with severe mental retardation in the rebahilition classes of the special primary school. The introduction will pay attention to the characteristics of the children with severe mental retardation, including the case report. Then there will be explicated the specifics of the rehabilitation classes; their organization and therapy. I will focus on the actual legislative regulations. The thesis will be aimed on education of the sensible pedagogy at the rehabilitation classes, expecially on senses tools usage mapping. As an outcome there will be an overview of some tools for senses perception progress, which turned out through tuition at rehabilitation classes, and further possibilities for their exploitation.
Diagnostics of Children with Mental Disabilities (A Regional Study)

The topic of this diploma work involves investigation of services provided in educational counseling institutions and evaluation of assessment methods used for pre-school and school aged children. The aim is to investigate and describe the assessment process, utilized assessment tools and methods and also to evaluate the quality of services provided by counseling institutions in the region of Jičín city. Diagnostika dětí s mentálním postižením The research methods used for the investigation and gathering data are questionnaires (for counsellors and parents of children with mental disability), observation in institutions and evaluation of documents used in these institutions. The theoretical part is focused on definition of mental disablement, its classification and causes of mental retardion. Family of a Child with a Mental Disability - Entry into the World of Adults

This diploma work is directed to the life of the family with a child with mental handicap in the time, when the child finished his compulsory school attendance and should enter the adult's world. Teoretical part pays attention to family and its function, since the birth of the child with mental handicap. Parts of parents, brothers and sisters and grandparents. Next part is about maturing a about problems of young people with mental handicap in this time. By the way of life story practical part shows lifes of four concrete families and their specifics in time, when their child enters the next life stages colled maturity. This 4 stories are able to compare with life story of a woman with mental handicap, who had gone throught this time 25 years ago. Main attention is devoted to the real possibilities and to the life perspectives of this families and of their children.
Social Welfare for Persons with Mental Disabilities - A Comparison of the State and Non-State Sectors

The aim of my thesis is to describe and compare sociál institutions for the mentally ill based on the institution founder. Parents' opinions on the quality of the services offered are dealt with as well. The theoretical part is focused on basic terminology, definitions, classifications, psychological specifications, education and training of the mentally disabled people. The core of my thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the comparison of the institutions based on their founder, where a questionnaire was used. The second part pursues the opinions of parents whose mentally disabled children regularly have daily or week-long stays in these institutions. In this part of my study I used interviews to gain my research material. I will use the information and knowledge gained during my study and the results of my thesis to improve the quality of my own work in the institution and also as enlightenment for communication with other people.
